Author has written 26 stories for Inuyasha, Gundam Seed, Harry Potter, Death Note, Code Geass, and D N Angel. Tobi's Every-once-in-a-while Update: Today is October 13, 2009 A new chapter of From the Ashes has been posted. Thanks to everyone who's left a thoughtful review. I appreciate them. I'm having fun looking at history in this way and I hope all of you are, too. This story is obviously taking center stage right now, and... well... that's just the way things go. Never fear, however, those of you who love Daisuke and Harry Potter and the Phantom Thief. I'm not done with that one yet, and undoubtedly I'll be cut off from food supplies soon if I don't get to the next Satoshi chapter. I do have a complex plan for that story, but it just takes a while in the making. I'll get there someday. Also, due to a certain linguistics class I'm taking, I'm developing an interest in writing more of Koala. Don't get too excited, though, because I haven't looked at that thing in ages, and I'm out of practice when it comes to L's mind. Lastly, I appreciate the sentiment when I get a review that says "plz updaet sun!" or "plz write faster!" I really do. However, if you are serious about making me write faster, you're out of luck. I can only say that I am not like other writers who may update a story weekly or bi-weekly, or even monthly. (How they manage that, I don't know! It's crazy-amazing!) If you've been following my stuff for a while, you know this already. For me, the quality of writing is more important than just getting the story out there for the lols. And I've got a certain formula which works a lot like this: Quality = 1/Speed. The quality of my work is inversely proportional to the speed at which I write it. Therefore, if you want short and unedited chapters, I can do weekly posts. However, I have a feeling that most of you would prefer to see a high level of quality instead of meaningless chapters. Thanks to those of you who tell me "it was well worth the wait." You make me proud I took the time to read and reread and reread my chapters. (I really do read through them at least ten times, and sometimes throw out whole pages worth of stuff, and then rewrite to get to an appropriate chapter length.) Fandoms Where I Lurk/Anime I Enjoy: Death Note, Code Geass, Gundam SEED, Gundam 00, DN Angel, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Heroic Age, Nadesico, Full Metal Panic!, Chrno Crusade, Bleach. Darker Than Black goes in there somewhere... AND THERE'S A SECOND SEASON! Not yet finished, but highly impressed by: I'm finally watching Full Metal Alchemist. My personal categories are below. If a story falls under these categories, it will say so in the summary, and usually just below the title in the actual story. This space here is just so you are aware of the what the heck is going on in the story. Gundam SEED Shorts: Basically, in some after-Destiny time and place, Athrun, Kira, Dearka, and Yzak are all hanging out. This was inspired by me sitting in the back of a Japanese classroom after taking a haiku class. From there, my sister and I started writing them. Only mine are posted under my name, so for the others, you'll have to look up anja-chan. ZAFT Academy Shorts: Laboring on in the same vein as the Gundam SEED Shorts, I've given our ZAFT boys (Athrun, Yzak, Dearka, Nicol, and Rusty) ten months at ZAFT Academy before being sent to the front lines (or, rather, Heliopolis), but with the brains, looks, money, and political power that they have backing them up, who knows what kind of trouble they will get into. PIE Shorts: Akin to Gundam SEED and ZAFT Academy, but able to do things I would not otherwise get to do. Here is the prologue: A mistake during a test to create near light-speed capabilities tears a hole in the space-time continuum and sends test pilot Parr Inlium to another universe. Upon his rapid return from unknown space, scientists research the tear and stabilize it into a gateway. Subsequent tests create more tears to more universes and result in more gateways. Universe 1, which includes Earth and the PLANTs, leaves Cosmic Era 76 for the Parr Inlium Era 1, commonly known as 1 PIE. Expect crossovers and random linkages to reality. Yaoi Contest Fics: These began as strictly Dearka/Yzak fics between myself, anja-chan, SlvrSoleAlchemist1, and The Angelic Demoness, but have now expanded to include Death Note. So far fics in this category include Tsunami (D/Y), Koala (L/Light), and at some point two other stories tentatively titled Misunderstanding (L/Light) and Knights of Godzilla (Zino/Suzaku). Renga-Style Fics: Written by the usual gang (anja-chan, SlvrSoleAlchemist1, The Angelic Demoness, and myself), these are where we find ourselves a prompt, and then after a page or so, we all rotate stories. Then we do this again. The third person can't see what the first person wrote, and usually we have the original author write the conclusion, clean it up, and post it. It's a lot of fun. These stories include The Attack of the Furious Squelch Monster! (Gundam SEED Destiny) and Italian Food Is Messy (Code Geass). The rest are mostly my long, multiple-chapter stories. You can pretty much ignore the Inuyasha ones, though. They are old and will not be completed. | |||||||||||
