A Little About Me...

Hey, just call me Amy, 'kay? Anyway, I'll be heading off to college here in the fall for music. I love to read, write, and occasionally draw. Musically, I participate in my school ensembles - such as band and choir whenever I'm given the chance. My first choice in instrument is flute, but I love my piccolo equally as much; I have also played a couple percussion instruments from time to time. In high school I play for four years in marching, concert, and pep band; three years in jazz band; one year in Honors band; and I took up soloing a bit at solo and ensemble and school events. In college, I plan to be in the marching and concert band, and possibly the wind ensemble, symphony orchestra, flute ensemble, and jazz band.

Don't hesitate if you want to talk; I'm a very friendly person. Feel free to either e-mail or message me through the PM system.

Stories, FanFiction...

1. One Star, a Danny Phantom one-shot: A war between humans and ghosts occurs and Danny serves in battle. At seventeen, he dies and ends up in the Ghost Zone. There, a ghost finds him and convinces him that it's not his time to die. (Completed; Rated K+)

2. Rule of King, a Danny Phantom story: When Vlad shows up one night, Danny is given a choice to live or die, under conditions. As the hero, he attacks and runs, but an explosion "kills" him in his own home. Now, sixteen years later, Danny returns with an army to defeat his enemy and a young ghost child to back him up. (In-Progress; Rated T)

3. Terrible Sixteen, a Danny Phantom story: What happened those sixteen years when Danny's was supposedly dead? Here's his tale. (Idea; Rating Unknown)

4. Reflections, a Marching Band story: After a smooth transition into college marching band the first week, the second week begins to go rough for two college freshmen. Nobody is who they said they were, so to discover who their real friends are, they must look past each reflection. (People lie all the time in the real world about who they are, taking on personalities that make them seem like good people. "Reflections" is about betrayal within the circle of friends, where the truth is hidden behind a friendly lie, a reflection of Good. So, why in marching band? Band brings together different people from one area, and not everyone can get along with the entire group. Therefore, band is like a mini-community, and within any community, there's troublemakers - many of whom hide behind a mask, sometimes impersonating someone else with their own little twists. A reflection.) (In-Progress; Rated T)

5. Coda, a Marching Band one-shot: Ellen Faraway was the vice-president of a large company. Jason Faraway was a band director. When she doesn't come home one night, he fears the worst. A week later, she's found dead. His life has never been the same since... (In-Progress; Rating Unknown)

6. Alma Mater, a Marching Band one-shot: He returned to Hope Academy after vowing to never step foot inside the building again. The memories, however, were too strong to stay away. After hearing the band rehearse the school Alma Mater, he knew everything would be alright. (Idea; Rating Unknown)

7. Chants and Tribal Dances, a Danny Phantom one-shot: Danny returns home after a long night ghost hunting. However, a spark off in the distance distracts him, luring him to an ancient Native American village. (Idea; Rating Unknown) (Based on a concert band piece I played back in eighth grade.)

Updates...

07-24-09 : I actually had some motivation earlier this week to write, so I managed to get another chapter of "Rule of King" up. It's not my favorite or probably the best, but, I have another coming up here soon. Like, soon soon. I actually feel...happy again. Yay! And yeah, my foot is actually feeling so much better now. Aha! Expect another chapter soon of both "Rule of King" and "Reflections". I might mention I've had a few ideas for another DP story - well, more like one-shots. I like one-shots; they're so stinkin' easy to write...

07-08-09 : I don't know if I'll have the next updates up for a while. I can't think! And it doesn't help me that I injured my foot earlier today. The pain is usually bearable, but at times, it just gets really unbearable. I don't know what's wrong, and it happened around 4pm-ish. It doesn't feel broken; I can still walk and move it. It just really hurts to walk and move around. The injury isn't the only thing, though. I can't find any motivation to write. None at all. Normally when I feel happy, excited, and in a good mood I can write; I can think. Yet, when I'm a gloomy, sad, depressed, really bad mood, I can't. Worst of all, and I can't believe I'm actually thinking this, but, I'm just having a tough time trying to figure out who exactly are my real friends. I've met some really good people during preview, so they're aren't the problem. It's those who I thought it could trust back in high school. What's silly though is, last night I had a dream I re-broke my arm. Today, I injure my foot (I don't like how I've been in pain for the last five hours; and pain killers don't work!).

07-01-09 : Well, I'm not writing "Memories" anymore but instead I'm working on another MB fic titled "Reflections". Instead of a high school setting, the characters are going to be dealing with the challenges of college. Now, I have no idea what college band camp or even college is even like. I imagine it's similar to high school but with more challenges to it. I won't truly know until I start band camp in late August. Once I get "Reflections" rolling and a couple chapters written, I'll post it here and remove "Memories". I'm still working on "Rule of King", but I want to work on something not related to a cartoon. I'm also working on an original story (non fanfic), too. Sometime in the future I may post in on FictionPress, but it's no where near close to be posted. The beginning is rough, but I think I finally figured out how I want it to start.

06-30-09 : I'd updated "Rule of King" two nights in a row, which is unusual for me. Don't expect Ch4 'til possibly the second week of July. Unlike Ch3, I have to think about how I want it to pan out. I originally planned Ch3 to both introduce human Cole and ghost Cole, as well as bring Danny back. Ch4 though, I don't really know how I'm gonna put it. I had written up to Ch3 about a year ago, and stopped there. So, mid-July is my next update. Count on it. Also, I have planned another story called "Terrible Sixteen" that deals with the lost 16 years.

06-28-09 : I haven't updated "Rule of King" by my set deadline as a result of writer's block. However, I'm currently working on the next chapter and I hope to have it done by Tuesday night. I'll be working on it tomorrow and Monday (nights, only). Note: I prefer to work around the hours of 11pm-2am, so if anyone wants to actually catch me online I'll be logged into MSN. You just have to ask for it ;)

05-26-09 : Wow, it's been awhile since I've updated! Yeah, the only reason I've not been here (or writing) is because of school. Now that I'm actually done, I have more time to write. I'll be pulling out an old DP fanfic of mine from my scraps and editing it. On the side note, I'm getting really excited for marching band in the fall. I have some info about what the first show will be like and I can't wait. It's gonna be amazing.

01-03-09 : I appreciate the reviews thus far on Memories! Just so you know, I am aware that Annie and Eric's conversation was rushed. May I remind that it was about 11:45pm when I finished the chapter and I wasn't 100 in the editing mood. I will be re-editing Ch1 very soon; I just need to spend a day or two away from the story so that I can re-read it with a fresh mind.

01-02-09 : What a way to bring in the new year! I put Ch1 of Memories out. I should have Ch2 up sometime in the near future when I'm not feverishly working on school projects or learning music for band/choir. And I don't need people saying anything about how grammatically incorrect Ch1 is or how many mistakes I've made. I need to edit it soon - and not at 12am as I have been lately. Eh... Just deal it.

12-31-08 : Well, I haven't been able to update at all as a result of school work. It's dreadful wanting to write but can't. I have 3 college auditions to prepare for and academics to worry about. I'm hoping on getting some time to write, but I don't know.
