Seeing as how you're here for the ficcage, I'll make this brief: Single mom of two girls, Texas born and raised, can't live without Dr. Pepper or a pen nearby (for either writing or drawing; whichever I'm in the mood for at the time). My current obsessions are Transformers (G1 and Bayverse mostly), George R. R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire, and indie author Lindsay Buroker's series The Emperor's Edge. Current favorite song of the moment is Deluka's "Waves."

Spotlight:
Something a little different in the ASoIaF genre: Garnet, by Shadowdust258, is a gem of a fic. First and foremost it is an AU, one that features Arya and Gendry...but not as you know them. The tables have been turned, and we find Gendry Crown Prince of the Seven Kindgoms, King Robert's firstborn and legitimate heir. Arya is just scraping by with the rest of her family down in Flea Bottom. Circumstances forced the Starks into hiding long ago, after a mysterious mandate by the King had Winterfell besieged and overrun. Now Arya is smack in the middle of things, as usual, trying to unravel the mystery of her sister's suitor, her mother's contradictory behavior, and her best friend Gendry's true identity.

If you're a fan of the Arya/Gendry persuasion, or just like a good mystery, then you should definitely try out this fic. Its narrative is tightly woven and concise, the characters enjoyable and believable, and the plot is thoroughly engaging. Be sure and drop this author a line when you're through, to let them know how amazing they are!

5x Ironhide Wasn't There: This fic has been revised and re-posted as of 4/18/13. A Transformers 07verse fic. Centers around Annabelle Lennox, and growing up with a giant alien robot for a best friend. There will be only 6 chapters, so i might actually be able to finish this one.

Secondhand Sparks: 5th chapter posted 1/11!. Another TF '07verse fic (AU), this one featuring Mikaela. Ratchet takes her on as an apprentice. She takes the job a little too seriously. Looking to be a lengthy one, so hang on, Transfans.

Stolen: 2nd chap up 1/13! 10th Kingdom fic, set 11 years before the events of the book/series. A wolf attack sends the Royal House into a panic, and leaves the Red Queen without an heir. Even as they try to cover it up, the Princess is plotting her escape from the pack that has kidnapped her. But, as usual in the Nine Kingdoms, things have a way of turning out differently than you plan, leading up to a chain of events that will determine the future of the Kingdoms years down the line.

Against the Darkening Sky: prequel to Secondhand Sparks. Will only be 4(ish) chapters. For those of you wondering how Alexis got thrown into the TF movie-verse, this will clarify a few things...as well as raise more questions.

standing on a broken field: From A Song of Ice and Fire. Ficlet based on that one scene (you know the one!) from the Battle of the Blackwater, in A Clash of Kings. AU. All it takes is the breath and will to speak, and everything changes. Sansan. Will most likely be kept short and bittersweet.

HAITUS:-
Feels Like Rain: AtLA. Collection of scenes from my ongoing project 'Becoming The Bull,' which features Zutara post-FBM, separation-from-Gaang fic. Before Zuko can rally the Earth Kingdom to fight, he and Katara must learn to work together, or lose everything. Also has snippets from a modern-day AU plot-bunny of mine, with powers.

True North: 10th Kingdom. 13-year-old Gage discovers the magic mirror portal in Central Park, passes through, and escapes from Wendell's castle to make her own way through the Nine Kingdoms, picking up a stray along the way.
