Update: Yeah, just in case you actually care and haven't figured it out yet I gave up on my fic. Things have been stressful the past couple of years and I'm only just now coming back to fanfiction to even read fics. In that time my interests have changed too - I no longer love Harry Potter with the same passion I used to, but now my sister has gotten me addicted to Naruto.

Just a few facts about the one and only ME! I LOVE reading and obviously writing, but reading always comes first. I am a grammar freak! At one point in time my dad was an English teacher, and he impressed upon me the importance of good grammar. I also get really annoyed whenever I see grammatical errors, so when I review stories, I have a tendency to proofread them too. In fact, reading fanfics recently I've noticed some errors that are REALLY common and drive me a bit batty, so I'm posting them here to make me feel like I'm doing something. Does this mean I'm perfect? No - in fact I definitely mess up on some of these myself on occassion. However, I make an effort to get them right and I tend to know the appropriate rules to follow. This is for people that just don't know the rules and actually care enough to learn them.

Major Grammatical Errors that Annoy Me!!

1. You're vs Your: "Your" is a possessive pronoun, and is used in instances such as, "Your dress is pretty," or, "I like your car." (By the way, make a note of how the quotes are used here - period goes only at the end of the entire sentence and is within the quotes!!) On the other hand "You're" is just an abbreviation for you are. It's used in cases such as, "You're short," or, "You're pretty."

2. Lose vs Loose: Loose means not tight, and is used in cases such as, "They held hands loosely," or it can be taken to mean at large, for instance, "The criminals were on the loose in the neighborhood." Lose, on the other hand means to not win, for instance, "They will lose the game," or to misplace, "I lose my class ring." (Really, I do lose my class ring - I'll put it somewhere where I KNOW I can't lose it, and then I forget where that is...)

3. Its vs It's: This is similar to the "you're" vs "your" in that "Its" is a possessive pronoun and "It's" is a contraction meaning it is.

4. There vs Their: "There" refers to a place, as in "Let's go over there," or is used as a pronoun, like, "There is no hope." "Their" is a plural possessive pronoun, and is used in instances such as, "They lost their bags."

5. Defiantly vs Definitely: Defiantly means boldly resisting authority or opposition, while definitely means free of uncertainty. Very different words, but people still confuse them!

6. Please, people, use capitalization! I know you do it because you just don't care, but seriously, I would like to read some fics that I just can't read because I'm too obsessive to be able to look past the glaring error.

Sorry for the lecture! Just had to get that out of my system. I also like science since my mom is a science teacher. At my house, a LOT of teaching gets done.

I played the violin for six years in school, and though I liked it I found that I just didn't put the same energy into it as everything else, and as a result of that and scheduling conflicts I haven't really played in two years. Sigh I love to play chess even though I am just a mediocre player, and I participate in all the tournaments. I'm also really good on Connect Four, but unfortunately Connect Four is vastly underapreciated, and therefore, no tournaments. It's depressing.

My favorite authors (outside of Fanfiction) are Tamora Pierce, Madeline L'Engle, Anne McCaffrey, Ann Rinaldi, obviously JK Rowling, Robin McKinley, and a bunch more that I can't think of at the moment. If you never read any other authors in your entire life, read Tamora Pierce and Madeline L'Engle. Also, my pen-name's namesake Queen Thayet is from the Tamora Pierce novels.

4) Partners - Action/Adventure/Romance/Mystery...great fic and an original plot!

5) Objective: Defeathering the Peacock - A funny romance with an awesometitle!

6) Veritas Amo - okay, I can't say anything other than GREAT!

7) First Comes Marriage - Another fun arranged marriage fic!

8) Misconceptions - AWESOMEDG GOODNESS!

9) The Visible Invisible/The Balin Connection - Both fantastic fics, with TBC as a sequel

10) Fatum/Fortuitus - YAY! More great sequels! Drama/Action/Adventure/Romance!

11) Do I Not Bleed/Jus Sanguinis - Also EXCELLENT, and by same author as Fatum/Fortuitus

12) Potter vs. Malfoy/Potter vs. Malfoy: Bridging the Gap - SO original! I LOVED them andthe crazy/fantastic pairings!

13) Roots Of Affection - An AU where Draco and Ginny have known one another (and been friends) since they were little, with full support of their families. GOOD fic!

14) The Breakfast Incident - FUNNY!

15) Inner Turmoil - Wow...the title sounds really depressing, doesn't it? But it's good, I promise!

16) Just A Theory - In which McGonagal takes a psychology course and uses Draco and Ginny for her test subjects for her essay on love/hate. Very funny/original DG goodness!

17) Ivory Tower- Not romances...just AWESOMENESS! - Helga Hufflepuff, war-witch for hire, undertakes to act as bodyguard for a witch she's never met. She arrives to find Rowena Ravenclaw's home already under attack by raiders, but Rowena herself strangely unconcerned... Same universe as Swamprat.

18) Swamp Rat - Godric Gryffindor has been called too daring for his own good, but even HE is starting to think that charging into a swamp in search of a wizard known only as "Serpent-Tongue" is not the brightest move...

19) Alpha and Omega/Nil Desperandum - No other word for it but FANTASTIC!

20) In the Shadow: A Tale of Silver and Gold - GREAT! There's a thin line between love and hate...

21) Chance Encounters - It's good, just take my word for it.

22) What She's Capable Of - Wow! Ginny Weasley is SO my hero in this fic.VERY funny!

23) Antithetical - Rebelling against an ancient curse will lead to a slow, but painful death. Ginny Weasley and Draco Malfoy are betrothed by an old imprecation, obligating them to be together. Another classic arranged marriage fic, with a twist!

24) Sometimes, I Even Amaze Myself - Come on, it's by Jedi Tess of Gryffindor! It's gotta be good!

25) Last Man Standing - A romance, but not really. Set during the war. "Draco. My name is Draco. Dying together is intimate enough for first names, don't you think, Ginny?" "I'm not planning on dying just yet."

26)All You Need Is Love - SOOOOOO original! (well, at least I think so!) It's by the most excellent author MochaButterfly, so small wonder I love it! Ginny wakes up one morning and finds herself in a totally different world. The year is 1607, she's a Muggle, there are only few magical people in the world, she's an only child, she's betrothed to her worst enemy, and she's . . . a princess!

27) Brother Amulets/The Return of Salazar Slytherin - Also by MochaButterfly. Need I say more?
