I'm alive. And I've been writing a lot, just for a completely different fandom and on a different site. I still have thoughts, though, worry not. Thoughts lead to ideas, ideas lead to inspiration, and inspiration leads to writing. In theory. Of course, it doesn't help that my attention span switches from one fandom to the next all the time. Anyway, here's a rundown of what I'm working on at the current moment. I hope I can post something (anything) in the not-too distant future.
(Final Fantasy VI) Beneath the Guise: Part V "Allegiance"
(Buffy the Vampire Slayer) The Mark of Obsession: Buffy's resurrection and Tara's death leave Willow in the dark. W/F
(South of Nowhere) Devil's Chain: Vampire Spashley. Need I say more?
Tidbits From the Duchess
-I'm 21 and a college graduate. Tech school rules.
-I follow in my older brother's footsteps in being a video game nerd.
-My favorite RPG is Final Fantasy VI. The music and plot, the characters and villains... Perfection.
-My least favorite would have to be FFV. It just doesn't capture me.
-The crown for my all-time favorite RPG character is shared by Celes and Beatrix. Both beautiful. Both generals. Both bad-ass.
-The video games I enjoy include the Final Fantasy series, Chrono Trigger/Cross and the Legend of Zelda series.
-Favorite TV shows include Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, South of Nowhere, Xena: Warrior Princess, and Friends.
-Random likes include writing (obviously), reading, music, animals, and girls. Yes, I said girls.

Random Notes
Now, in case it's not obvious, Angst is probably my favorite genre to write, usually with an element of romance involved. I rarely write pure fluff and don't have the knack for true comedy. Over the past few years, I have developed a strong affinity for writing (and reading) female slash. Even in my male/female works, a subtle undertone of slash somehow manages to work its way in.
I also love touching on the darker aspects of the "good guys" and the lighter aspects of the "bad guys." The reason I've grown so fond of Celes, Beatrix, Willow, and Faith is not necessarily because of what we see on screen, but more so what we don't see. The depth these characters have--their unexplored potential--I think, is what draws me to them.
Being that I have high standards, I try to preserve tastefulness in all my works. My hope is that my readers enjoy my writing as much as I do.
Okay, enough of that crap.
