Updates:
November 9th 2007 - I have an excuse for my prolonged absence - my computer died and took with it a good 25 of its memory, including a lot of my in-progress fanfiction works. That's why Tricks of the Trade hasn't been updated yet - I'm still trying to cull together all of the pieces I still have available to me. In the meantime, House of Cards is nearing completion and Reservations (a one-shot set between Beast of Burden and Simple Things) is also up; I decided to just work on some fresh stuff rather than whimpering about the loss of my old stuff. Not to fear - the annual 53 Festival over at Bad Friends is doing a good bit to inspire me. I also shortened my bio page - look better now? (Smiles hopefully)

April 21st 2007 - While working on Tricks of the Trade (and the culmination of Before the Beginning), I managed to pull Blasphemy (formerly Prayer) together and post it. I'm discovering it's very difficult to write angsty Gojyo, which I'm actually glad about, but it makes me all-too-eager to envision future story ideas rather than focus on my official chronology, which is the best way I work, I've found. ALSO: If you're curious as to why I haven't been posting a lot lately, there are two reasons. (1) College like sucks right now, what with papers and midterms and such crap that gets in the way of a writers' passion. (2) Go check out ASeptemberRose's stuff; that is what I've been working on. I'm her personal beta and while I enjoy helping her improve, she's been on a run lately with her new story Denial. So, yeah, any praise for her comes back to me (eventually) and is much appreciated.

PERSONAL

In RL, I'm Jen M. Middleton, a budding author. My first book, Silent Songs and Other Whispered Words, can be found here. I have been writing for a long time - we could "publish" books in elementary school and I made at least 5 between 2nd and 5th grade, writing poetry longer - my first "book" was a collection of poetry, and started writing lyrics not long after that. Ever since, I have had an insatiable love for the written word in at least English and Japanese.
I am a fourth-year (Senior-status) Anthropology (Cultural) major at Ohio State University pursuing Japanese, Folklore, and CIS minors; I have been to England, Paris (France), Japan, Germany, Austria, and China. I have been a webmistress since I was 10, but college has taken up most of my time and my websites tend to be very elaborate, so this is the only way I could think of to keep my story going.
