WTF! I come home from Pittsburgh only to find out that I've LOST MY JOB. I was doing very well, making real money for once... and suddenly... it's all over. Now for the kicker! The reason why! I was on my lunch break one day about two weeks ago... The owner of the company was on location and I was working on chapter 24 or 25, I don't remember which. Anyhow, I slouched in my chair, in the tech room, trying to retrieve my glasses because they'd fallen from the desk. I slumped down and used my foot to draw them back towards the base of my chair when the owner walked by the tech room. I sensed tension in the area but she nodded and acknowledged me with a polite smile and greeted me by name. Oddly, I still got weird vibes. The campus was getting ready for the Maryland Higher Education Committee to come through and set up accreditation and... Anyhow, after the dust settled from that, she had me fired for looking lazy on the job. Did she ASK if it was my lunch break? Did she ask why I was slouching? No. I'm told she's a "queen B." like that so... C'est la vie. It sucks but there's nothing I can do about it. The campus director even wants me to fix his computer this Friday under the table for a few bucks. I guess he still likes me, right? It's a pretty BS reason to get let go. They found other "official" reasons, like not completing ALL tasks in a time-friendly fashion... but there are TWO TECHS servicing THREE CAMPUS locations - DC, Baltimore and Columbia. I mean, c'mon. We're over worked and under-staffed... of COURSE I couldn't do everything at once! But that became the official reason on paper... I found out the owner's decision through channels at corporate, as I've befriended a few people higher up on the chain... and I learned through them that she wanted them to find reasons to can the "tech at Columbia" because she saw him "looking lazy on the job." Meh.
They can kiss my orange-tailed fursona. Double Duces blazing!

Okay, so I attended another AnthroCon. Pittsburgh, for those of you who have never been there, has a great downtown and cultural district area. There were Three Thousand Seven Hundred Seventy-Six people in attendance. Counting those who didn't register and slept on people's hotel floors, I'm going to say about FOUR THOUSAND people were there.
For those of you I was able to meet, thank you! For the people in the writing panels I attended, you guys were great - awesome job of giving advice and such!
This was Dawn's first AC and she loved it (Many of you probably saw her badge - it said CON VIRGIN). Thanks again for reading my material - I appreciate it!

February 27th 2009:

Wow. Reflections of the Future has now just hit 30 thousand views. ARE YOU SERIOUS? THIRTY THOUSAND HIT / VIEWS? Yet it only has a couple of reviews. Well, not a couple, but certainly not nearly as much as Lament of Carmelita or Reflections of a New Generation, but you know what that tells me? It tells me that the people who like Reflections of the Future are reading it over and over, every so often. Thank you. I appreciate it.

I'm working a new job as a computer tech for a PC education campus. Some of you might have heard the name, "Johns Hopkins Medical University." Funny how that sort of irony happens... I've never gone to college, but now I work for one. xD

Now, don't get me wrong... I have certifications and I have experience, so I have the job. But yeah, I never WENT to college, so it's funny to me that I should work for one. :D

December 9th 2008:

Okay, Sly Cooper fans, I have good news for you. Stay tuned for a nice holiday surprise.
No, I'm not giving up on Spy Cooper - this NEW edition will tie into it nicely, albeit at a different angle than you might be expecting.
I've been so busy this month I'm running around blind. Catch my next update, soon!

October 22nd 2008:

The whole iBook thing is coming along well. Musicians sometimes tell you that there are certain songs locked away in certain guitars. They pick up a new, fresh guitar and... bam! They come up with a riff that turns into a new song later on. Maybe it's the keyboard on this thing; I don't know.

Anyhow, I've rented Flawless, The Heat, The Heist, The Italian Job, Entrapment, The Thomas Crown Affair, Ocean's Eleven (the original with the Rat Pack, including Frank Sinatra) and now... I'm going to watch some thief movies. Why? Because I need good inspiration for finishing Spy Cooper! See, I have to re-read it and such... I'm without a PS2 (I gave it to my eldest son's mother) and my PS3, which I bought used, is dead right now. It needs a new disc motor as they don't spin right now. So, I usually play through the game series before returning to write about Sly Cooper but I can't right now :(

I've just updated The Curse with two new chapters and Claws of Fate with two new chapters. I'll probably write one for Reflections of Marcus McCloud then I'll return to Spy Cooper and offer a few updates. After that, I'll try and write the very LAST chapter for The Curse, so it's complete. I've not given up on ANY of my stories. If you're a fan of one that doesn't get much attention, please let me know so I can figure something out. I also need to re-read Similar Paths Taken. I'll probably update the Crossover Bandwagon Story of Doom before Christmas and, of course, add chapter THREE for A Cooper Christmas around the last week of December.

I might get around to posting the entire-completed story of Act2 for The Greatest of Three Evils: Parallel Universe. I wrote it many years ago and wound up using the concept behind it to write both Similar Paths Taken and Reflections of a New Generation. But the original concept was Parallel Universe and that story has been complete since 2003. All of two people expressed interest in reading the sequel to A Family Affair, so I might as well post it at some point, lol. Just for haha's.

All I have to do is separate the paragraphs into double spacing, break the story down into chapters and post'em. I never wrote the third act, which was supposed to lead into the new SF:Assault game. Years later, I wrote a much better series that was very well received by friends and readers. It was called "REFLECTIONS" and I stuck with that universe instead. xD

I'm still looking for a job! If anyone has I.T. ties around the Baltimore-Washington (D.C.) area, let me know!

Also, "A Break In Chaos" (found on MySpace) finally has two shows. My side project rock band might actually play some live music! xD ...For those who don't read my author's notes in the chapter updates of my stories... I'm a drummer. Okay that's all for now! By the way, for the Nineteen THOUSAND views to my profile page, I thank you guys! I know, I know... there are plenty of people out there who have way more views to THEIR profile page. Just the same, I appreciate the attention, gang! Just like I appreciate having THIRTY THOUSAND views to my story, Reflections of The Future.

P-Sout!

October 13th 2008:

Okay, so I got a great deal on an iBook. It's got all the power I need at only 1.33ghz and 1gb of ram. With 40GB of hard drive space, it's more than enough to use as a word processor. The keyboard feels great and it was mega-cheap. I took some unused PC parts (motherboard, etc) up to my locally-owned computer store and traded them in towards this notebook. Yes, it's beyond outdated: it's a G4 PPC (as opposed to the MacBook with the Intel core2duo), but I don't care. I don't need it for anything fancy. So! Let's give it a try, huh? Couldn't hurt, right?

I still have a lot to learn about the TIGER OS but... whatever! The shell is like a DS (or, I should say, the DS shell is like this thing, since it's older but anywho) and it's light. Word up and stuff. Speaking of Word, I think I'm going to get word2008:Mac because Neo Office is lacking on feel. I like the Thesaurus but that's about it. :( At least I don't have to worry about this older style notebook when it comes to heat, right?

Talking about not overheating, I can lay this thing on the bed and write for hours without ANY heat problems. It's silent, it works great and the battery is pretty standard to what I'm used to (about an hour and a half). With DVD, bluetooth, built in wireless and a small form factor, I've been really pleased since I got it the other day. As we go back into the season change, I'll be returning to Sly Cooper and look forward to getting plenty of that typed up on this machine! :D

Also, I updated Claws of Fate twice. Expect an update for The Curse very soon now. I've been sick and re-reading that whole story or it would have been updated by now. I might do ONE MORE update for Marcus McCloud before returning to Spy Cooper - I'm not sure yet. Gotta feel it out, y'know? And stuff.

x

June News:

Sup, gang. Okay, so my Acer notebook was overheating. I'd start on a chapter, get a few pages into it, then the thing would simply SHUT OFF at random. Needless to say, I was pretty fried out. I've had no real problems with Windows Vista for simple use - remember when I was thinking about a Mac book? So far, I've not lost any work due to an OS crash. If it happens, I'll switch to Mac... but so far, so good.

It's not Acer's fault - I'm the one who bought a refurbished machine. MY FAULT.

However, luck came across my path... Office Depot had a very small Toshiba travel notebook (13.3 inches) on clearance. The hard drive was shot, so they let me have it for super cheap. I sold the Acer to the local computer store, took the cash and bought this Toshiba. It's so tiny! However, this model was built with copper heat-syncs instead of the typical aluminum ones... Copper, baby! This thing NEVER overheats.

I upgraded a few key elements on it, networked it to my desktop and transfered mah stuff. Done deal!

It's the same processing speed as the Acer, same amount of ram. The screen is smaller, the L2 Cache is twice the size and the hard drive is larger now. This thing only weighs in at 4.45 pounds. Not too shabby! Also, the battery life lasts about twice as long as the old Acer. Don't get me wrong, I really liked the Acer... Plus the new Extensa's have a slightly ergonomic keyboard... that's hawt. I'll also miss the four-way scroll key between the mouse buttons. It's hard to live without that thing - I loved that button. But yeah, stuff. I've always been a Toshiba whore - I always will be.
n_n

The keyboard on this notebook flexes when I type on it, but I think it's designed to do that on purpose. At first, I figured flimsy meant chintzy but now I realize it's designed to flex to better absorb impact. And now I know.
Hell, I'm happy. It's a solid little thing. Plus, it does everything I want it to do. Yeah, I wish it had 802 . 11N so I could sync faster with my desktop, but whatever. Beggars can't be choosers and it was too good of a price to complain about.

Since I became a member here, I've gone through a lot of laptops. I was using a Toshiba P25 S5 series ten pound monster back in the day. Since then, I've gone to a Compaq, a sony vaio, a Toshiba A-10 satellite, a gateway, an old Dell Latitude C800, an Acer Aspire and, now, this Toshiba U305 Satellite. That doesn't count the 4 prior Toshiba Satellites I owned BEFORE the P25... The THIRD one was one of the best. My wife Christy bought it for me back in May of 2000. It lasted five and a half years (and I took it EVERYWHERE so it had a TON of travel milage) before I upgraded to the impressive and powerful P25 S4 series (which was massive by comparison) and later, the P25 S5 series I used when I made my account.
Yes, that means I've owned 12 laptops since 1998. Seven of them were Toshiba notebooks. I guess I'm a little bais...
:D

May News:

I've finished Reflections of a New Generation AND began updating the sequel, Reflections of Marcus McCloud.

Also, I have really big news! I'm talking to my ex-wife again! Woot! Keep your fingers, toes, arms, legs, hair and eyes crossed! Ladies, keep your tubes crossed. At least until you're married. Believe me, it's for the best - I know from personal experience. xD

April News:

CHAPTER 30 OF REFLECTIONS OF A NEW GENERATION IS FINISHED AND POSTED!

!!yAy!!

I need a WII so freakin' bad.

D:

A lot of folks can't understand how we came to have a a oil shortage here in our country. Well there's a very simple answer!
Nobody bothered to check the oil.

We just didn't know we were getting low. The reason for that is purely geographical.
Ya' see, our oil is located in:

Alaska,
California,
Coastal Florida,
Coastal Louisiana,
Kansas,
Oklahoma,
Pennsylvania,
and, of course, Texas.

Meanwhile all of our dipsticks are located in Washington, DC.

Any questions!

February News:

REST ASSURED, READERS, that NONE of my un-finished stories are "Dead". I mean to finish ALL of them. The Curse, Similar Paths Taken, Nothing Passed Tomorrow, the Crossover Bandwagon Story of Doom that Has No Real Title, and yes, even my Reflections stories. This includes all my Sly Cooper stuff, my Castlevania story - Claws of Fate, you name it! I WILL FINISH THEM ALL. :D

And Valentine's Day is coming... you know what THAT means, Sly Cooper fans... another one-sy short story, LOL. I'll probably just make a chapter TWO for Sly Cupid like I did for A Cooper Christmas. That seemed to work out very well!

Yaw'll romantics love that stuff, don'tcha? ;)

Peace, Love and Chocolate, everybody!

Post Christmas News:

After updating Spy Cooper on January 5th, I'm going to take a SHORT hiatus and work on REFLECTIONS OF A NEW GENERATION now that I've finished chapter 11 of Reflections of Fox McCloud.

For everyone that has been waiting for the cliffhanger in New Generation to conclude, I am sorry you've waited this long. I intended to have finished SPY COOPER in November but I was busy with work because of the Holidays. Blah! Anyhow, I'm going to re-read the Reflections stories first then I'm going to write Chapter 25, so give me a few days! Thanks!

November News:

I started a brand new job in October of 2007.
Department Manager of Electronics section (AKA: Technology) at Office Depot in Pasadena, Maryland.
The pay is okay... It's not a Loan Officer's paycheck, but it's better than being the Assistant Manger of Gamestop. It's also on par for the Assistant Manager of Blockbuster Video, so it's surprisingly GOOD for the retail world, in consideration. The health benifits leave a little to be desired but a job is a job. A career is still waiting for me in the future but for now... this will work fine.

I'd like to thank John Settino, a fan-reader of my StarFox: Reflections of a New Generation story, and a fellow Maryland musician... he's the one who got me this job after Nation's Direct Mortgage laid me off. Thanks John.

On behalf of both myself and John, check out our latest musical endevors, done for fun.

www.MySpace.com/ABreakInChaos

Click on the videos button beneath our logo thing, and watch me wear a cymbal on my head while behind the drums :-O

We just put a new song up - most of our music lacks song titles but the one we've called "Old Coins are Rare and Collectable" is the newest one and, if you ask me, should properly identify my abilities as a DRUMMER, more or less, even though these are NOT professional recordings. (They were made in an amantuer basement studio on an older model of PC, straight in to a seperation board, direct to hard drive. Nothing fancy.)

That's all for now!

:-O

September '07 News:

I forgot my "life sucks" helmet, when I left the house to go to work, today. (9-18-07)

And now you see the results of such forgetfulness. O-NOEZ. UnEmPlOyMeNtZ

Fall '07 News:

I got a new computer with which to write on!

HAPPY DAY!

I'm now working on Reflections of a New Generation, Reflections of Fox, Claws of Fate and a little on the Bandwagon Crossover StarFox Story of Doom.

I'll be back to my NORMAL replying, writing and communication schedule soon!

Wurd.

It's not a MAC... not yet. I decided to give windows ONE last chance. That last thing was more of a foul ball than a strike... it coulda happened to anyone. So this is Windows' last chance. If it screws up, it's toast. I'll take it to a PWNshop.

Anyway, I'm going with an ACER with a lot of good additions on it. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

It looks awesome. I'm also upgrading from Word 2003 to Word 2007. Squee!

If Vista fails me, I'll feed it to a Tiger named "OS-X" ...or a leopard. xD

I'm still poor! Donate to the Feed-A-Fox-Writer Fund!
Actually, don't do that. I'd wind up buying sugary stuff then I wouldn't get anything done.

Fairly Old News (Summer '07):

I like cheese.

Oh and I'm single yet again. :-O
Onoez!

Also:

I got a new job! I kicked Blockbuster to the curb like a bad habit. I'm serious, managing a blockbuster is like asking someone to set you on fire every night for about 8 hours at a time. It's NOT wholesome, it's NOT satisfying. It would have been a better part-time job just so there would be low stress and 5 free rentals per week but... GOOD LORD, don't manage a blockbuster video! Save yourself the agony, I'm serious. Anyway, I start a new job in July as a Loan Officer. As soon as some loans actually close, I'll have more money. For now, I'm still broke as a joke; I can't afford to pay attention, let alone to fill my gas tank. It's a good thing Fan Fiction pays so darn well! ...Oh, wait. x_x ...Crap.

Semi-old news:

My Laptop exploded internally. -_- ...Okay it didn't actually combust or destruct but WINDOWS crashed. Who'd have thought?
I lost a lot of recent stuff, so it'll be a while. But not forever, I just have a lot to re-write. Blah. It WILL hold up Spy Cooper, Reflections of a New Gen's C23, and C7 for Reflections of Fox.

Sorry-:(

I wrote to Bill Gates and said, "I'm divorcing you! Maybe Steve (Jobbs) will take better care of me! Please send Alamony!-:)"
I doubt he'll get it.
I secured a Dell Latitude Corporate Laptop designed only for high priority businesses. It's older than dirt (from 2001) but it was only, like, two hundred bucks. I'll use it until I get a Macbook :-O

Any further news (News from a million years ago) :

I'll let you know when I know!

YO! Someone tell me why this profile gets WAY more attention (in number of page views) than my MySpace profile? http://www.myspace.com/thedrumkit ...The funny part is, I didn't even get many hits on my MySpace profile until I posted the link to it in THIS profile!

It's probably because I'm ugly XD

So, my name (as many of you know, because I put it at the beginning of my stories) is KEN WEAVER Junior. I'm told I must be the oldest person in the Sly Cooper / StarFox fandom. So be it. I'll be 27 on May 1st, 2007. When the average reader reads this, they think "Oh, he's almost 30, doing fan fiction." Well, I guess you're right, but I feel younger now than I did in highschool so figure out THAT.

Plus, I'm here to practice my craft. When I'm ready I'll publish something original.

Anyhow, some of yaw'll want to know about me, why I write about furry stuff, video games or just whatever... You can find all that stuff below. Also, I have original stories up on FanStory.com under the name Kit-Karamak and FictionPress with the same name. I've also got an account on AdultFanFiction.net but I've not posted anything there yet. For those of you who are under 18, don't go there. Sex melts your brains worse than television. Okay, so the melting feels good because of the endorphins but dang, there are some silly-arsed rabbits out there who think sex is for kids. Cut that out!

March 17th 2007

Ahem, WELCOME TO MY DORKY PROFILE PAGE. Now, let's talk about the author because you may have been too lazy to click on the link to the myspace page.

I'm 26 of this very moment, March of '07. I play the drums. I'm a night manager at Blockbuster Video. I'm divorced but that's okay. She's fine with it and, as of March 2007, I'm still not okay with it. I suck. BUT I'm in a good mood today.

I'm feeling lucky today. I might even feel luckier tomorrow ;) We'll see, eh? Nah, I doubt it, LOL.
By the way, can anyone float me a loan for a million dollars? I'd really appreciate it! Thanks!

One more thing: If you think I'm too old to write fanfiction, then maybe you're too mature to be reading it. Think about it!
I'm probably twice as childish as you, anyhow. So NAHHH! I like cheese. Especially on a burger. ICANHASCHEESEBURGER!
