Author has written 4 stories for Phantom of the Opera, and Sense and Sensibility. I did promise, on multiple occasions, that I would stick to "Another Love, Another Lifetime" until the end. As it developed, I turned over and over in my head all the different ways it could be concluded. It has been radically altered from the first outline I had drafted in my head so long ago, and thus needed a different ending than I had originally planned. If I were to continue this story, and tie up all the little subplots and every minute detail, I don’t know how I could ever finish it. I believe that this is the most appropriate way to end the saga. I myself am quite satisfied and at peace with it. Thank you to all who read it, and especially to those who reviewed. You have no idea what a joy it has been these past few years to get feedback, encouragement, and constructive criticism, and to let other people (perfect strangers, even!) actually read what I have written. I never imagined how this experience would affect me, and I wish I could thank each one of you individually. I am both sad and relieved to be finished with my Phantom of the Opera story. For those of you who happen to be fans of the classic pre-teen book, The Witch of Blackbird Pond, I would recommend that you check out the story "A Voyage Unforseen" by penname "Love-the-Boots". It's a collaborative work between myself and my good friend Kara, after we felt challenged to write a story about Kit and Nat that remains faithful to the original work and the time period in which it is set. Aside from these stories, I don't plan on writing any more fanfiction. (I may revise and re-post my Phantom of the Opera stories, since at least "A Piercing Light of Hope" is probably due for more proofreading.) Now that ALAL is finished, I plan to concentrate more on my novel, and if it is ever published, I will post the information here. Again, thank you all for reading! I have signed up as a beta reader, and last I checked I'm taking requests. News 10/19/08: I have FINALLY updated Mistress of Delaford again! It's been 2+ years, but I did it! I hope it doesn't take as long to write the next chapter, but I'm also working full-time and doing research for, and writing, my own novel, as previously mentioned, so...we'll see how it goes. News 11/13/08: Chapter 4 of Mistress of Delaford is now posted, and it took me less than a month this time! I'm so proud of myself! Thanks for the lovely reviews; I am so glad not everyone gave up on the story. You also may have noticed that I brought the rating down from T to K+. I had rated it T just to be safe, but for now I'm quite sure that I won't be putting in any T-rated material. I do have the plot generally outlined in my head, and none of it really seems to warrant any details higher than K, and I do prefer a less-is-more approach when it comes to Jane Austen fics. It just seems more appropriate. | |||||||||||
