Author has written 75 stories for Star Wars, Spider-Man, Criminal Minds, Harry Potter, Chuck, Supernatural, and Firefly. Hello! Yes, it's time to meet yet another dyed-in-the-wool bookworm and rabid sci-fi/fantasy fan! My real name is actually Sarah, but I answer online most often to Polgarawolf. My interests are far-ranging and always growing (hence the hundreds of dvds/videos and probably thousands of books cluttering up various perpetually overflowing shelves in the house), but I grew up in a household where everyone knew and loved Star Trek and Star Wars as well as Dune (the books, mind. And the original movie) and far too many fantasy and sci-fi authors to all name here, and that setting for my life really hasn't changed, though there have been other excellent movies/shows added to the list of the well-known and the beloved over the years (Firefly/Serenity, Farscape, the whole Stargate crew, The X-Files, CSI, Criminal Minds, Heroes, Dexter, Supernatural, the re-imagined Battlestar Galactica, etc.) and likely will continue to be added to the list for as long as such a list remains. Currently, though, most of my "free" time is spent on my obsession with, ah, "fixing" the Star Wars 'verse (and apparently making the bits that Lucas et al essentially cribbed from the Dune 'verse even more obvious than they already are, or so I've been told). Cheers, all! PS: Last fall ('07), I broke some bones in my wrist/arm and required many, many, many stitches after an accident at work. I was then struck with a rather speedily travelling box and knocked down and apparently managed to crack a bone in the same wrist/arm this past March in another blasted accident at work. Please don't be offended if I don't respond to emails, feedback/comments, ect. I can't type very well one-handed, folks, and tend to be perpetually behind on email even when I have the use of both hands. PPS: I think I may've lost some of my section breaks in the chapters for my novel-length works when the site changed something to do with its formatting. I'll try to fix that, if I can figure out how to get breaks back in that the blasted site will accept, sometime in the near future, if it's fixable with the use of but one hand. PPPS: I honestly am not abandoning the Harry Potter AU. I've got too many interesting notes/ideas on that particular AU world to just abandon it. I just haven't got time for it right now and probably wouldn't have time for it even if I had two working hands. I foresee working on it again sometime around the time of NaNo, if I have no broken or cracked bones that month. And yes, by the way, I am one of those weird blighters who love the idea of the HP world and adore some of the wonderful fanfic and yet can't much stand the actual books themselves, as, well, they really are fairly dreadful. Please refrain from the email equivalent of Howlers about this, or (since I'm in a foul mood due to casts and being reduced to one-handedness and whatnot) I'm likely to get huffy about it and let my major fandom obsession figure out a way to subsume or otherwise swallow up enough of some element of the Harry Potter 'verse into the GFFA, as that monsterously all-encompassive 'verse has (or will, I'm fairly sure, eventually do with) all my other fandom obsessions, to not feel the need to do anything else with the Harry Potter AU separate from that monster. Savvy? PPPPS: For those of y'all who're reading my SW AU stories, reading through my casting choices (i.e., my list of real world physical models for EU and original SW characters), rules for Nabooian names, and background notes for some of the characters should help a great deal, when it comes to visualizing characters and understanding some of what I'm envisioning, when it comes to Naboo and Nabooians. It's been gathered up as well as I can (considering the ff.net doesn't want to let me put in links for things like pictures, etc., like I can in my LJ entries) in the "story" I have posted here called "Explanatory Notes on Casting Characters, Handmaids." I really do highly recommend that my SW readers please read this! PPPPPS: I honestly really and truly adore feedback and I humbly thank every single person who's taken the time to respond to something I've written. Normally, I would try very hard to respond to every comment that I get on my work (though I must admit that I would also normally be a bit behind on answering comments, because there never seems to be enough hours in the day to get to everything that should be gotten to). But because the same blasted bones in my arm/wrist have been broken twice in the space of about half a year, I have to wear a brace when I type to be able to type and I can only type for relatively small stretches of time before I have to stop so that I won't strain something that I can't really afford to strain. I'm not sure how long that's going to hold true, but for now, my ability to type is rather limited. Because I have stacks of audio tapes I've made filled with notes and ruminations and such for stories and need to transcribe them to get anything useful out of them, I'm afraid I'm going to have to prioritize things so that the tapes with story notes come first, followed by the stories, followed by emails from family and friends, followed by emails from the wonderful individuals who've taken the time to comment on my stories.
