(10/27/09) - Chapter Eight will be started in December. :) For a while I couldn't decide what I want to do with it. I know how I want it to end and what I want to happen, but there were still some gaps in the plot that needed to be filled, loose ends than needed tying up and such, plus more interactions that need to be made. Now I think I know how I'm going to accomplish that. I just had to figure out how to further progress Yuuri and Wolfram's relationship, while at the same time deal with the issues that crop up from Yuuri's relationship with Iris from Wolfram's perspective. I also needed to decide how much I wanted to reveal about Iris (through Wolfram's eyes), and how much I wanted to hold off until later, while at the same time showing her further development as a character and as Yuuri's mistress (again, through Wolfram's eyes). It's fun shifting from perspective to perspective from one chapter to the next, and I'm glad I decided to do it. This way you'll hopefully get three sides of the same story.

For the most part, all I went in and did was change some of the terminology. As I've continued to write for this fandom, I've come to dislike using the Japanese terms such as 'mazoku' and 'Shin Makoku,' so I've gone in and changed them to their English equivalents/official English translation. I feel that the prose flows a bit better when there's not a random Japanese identification term thrown in there. Some of the changes are as follows:

Shin Makoku -> the Great Demon Kingdom

Mazoku -> demon/demon tribe

Maryoku/Majustsu -> magic

Maou -> Demon King/Great Demon King

Shinou -> Original King/the Great One

Greater Shimeron -> Big Cimaron

Lesser Shimeron -> Small Cimaron

Franshire -> Francia

Belal -> Belar

There may be more than that, but they're all similar changes, and none of it should change the context of the story in the least. Also, at the time when I was writing the first handful of chapters, I was going strictly by fansubs for the most part and was unsure if Hube and Nicola's baby was a girl or a boy, and for some reason I'd settled on a girl. Since then I've found that it is quite obvious that said baby is a boy, so I've edited that to correct it as well. Again, nothing big, but I'd wanted to go over it in case anyone was confused for some reason.

Fics in Progress:

Love and War (pairings: Yuuri/Wolfram) - LaW hasn't been updated in a while specifically because I haven't had the time to work on it. There's a lot of emotional and political drama that takes a long time to write. It has not, however, been discontinued. Updates will resume whenever I get some more writing done.

To Love (pairings: Yuuri/OFC and Yuuram/Wolfyuu) - A year ago, I decided that Yuuri doesn't just say he likes girls for the sake of not appearing gay, but because he really does like girls. This fic explores his relationships with women (one woman in particular) as well as his relationship with Wolfram through the perspective of an OC (Iris Beckett).

The Holy Grail (pairings: Yuuri/Wolfram, the Great One/Rufus, and past OMC/OMC) - My newest fic. Yuuri and his friends search for a relic of the Great Demon Kingdom long thought to be nothing more than legend - the only holy object ever to be created by the Great Demon Kingdom, and the Great One himself.

Completed Fics:

More Than Words Can Say (pairings: Conrad/Yuuri) - My first, and probably only, Conyuu fic. It was written only to prove to myself and others that I could do it. At the moment, it doesn't appear as if I will be writing more fics for this pairing.

An Historic Love (pairings: Yuuri/Greta with mentioned and implied Yuuri/Wolfram) - A joint idea between myself and my beta, Guine-chan. I would like to point out that I do not support this pairing, and merely wrote the fic to see if I could. It was a challenge to myself, nothing more. If people don't like it, then that's their choice and opinion, although I would like to question how other incestual pairings could be seen as in any way "better" than this one. Gwendal/Conrad, Conrad/Wolfram, Gwendal/Wolfram, Conrad/Celi, Shori/Yuuri... all of those are actual incest pairings (some of which I've seen multiple times) that receive common and even diehard support.

Scarlet Fever (pairings: none) - My first gen-fic, or rather my first attempt at one. Originally done for a fanfic meme posted last year on the Wolfram LJ comm. I never got around to posting it there or anywhere else because I never finished all five prompts. I only got three of the five under my belt. XD;

Into the Fire (pairings: Wolfram/Yuuri) - The second of three prompts (of five) that I was able to complete for a fanfic meme. I don't have much more to say about it besides that. XD;

What Is A Mother? (pairings: some Yuuri/Wolfram) - The third of three prompts (of five) that I was able to complete for a fanfic meme. Anyway, I'd always wanted to do an Mpreg fic for this pairing, and this is all I have so far. Once To Love is done, I plan on starting a longer Yuuram Mpreg fic, but of course I don't know when that'll be. XD; To Love was even originally supposed to contain Mpreg; it was a much more in depth story than it is now, but I cut a lot out of it. Now it's about a third of what it was originally going to be.
