Hi there, this is hachico, alias "honeysyrup". As you can probably tell, I'm just an amateur writer. Although I haven't had the chance to take any writing classes, I really enjoy making up good stories. The best part is writing up detailed descriptions of things, as well as developing characters and thinking of original settings

As for what I like to write about, I like to mix it up. Mostly Alternate Universe fanfiction, a drabble or two, and perhaps a canon fic here or there. A good love story is always nice, but it tends to fall secondary to the main plot in my writing, developing as a result of whatever plot is going on rather than the other way around. Sorry for those who aren't into that sort of thing or have high hopes for the next great love epic. Not that kinda writer. If you give me a chance, I can write romancy stuff too but it usually takes me a little while to get into it. Don't want you feeling disappointed or surprised by that. If you're into action, sci-fi, far away worlds and things of that nature, then you can count on me all the way!

On a final note, my writings usually contain BL (a.k.a. "slash" or "yaoi") themes, so please watch out for that if it's not your thing.

Hachi Back on the Grind...? (Feb 2009)

I've been on a long break from FF.net for like a whole year and a half (or more!), and I understand that this strongly disappoints some people who actually liked to read my works. If you are one of those people I would just like to say that I'm sorry.

Sorry you have such low standards!! XP

Looking back on my work after a long absence has made me realize that I don't like my writing from 2 years ago very much at all. :-( I even sorta feel strongly disappointed to see how many hits/reviews some of those works have too. It really does make me feel like a lot of people may have lowered their standards due to a genuine lack of anything good to read (?), and I am so sorry it has to be that way. (-_-);;;

However, even despite the sub-par writing I can still appreciate the fairly creative concepts behind some of my old fics. It's not their fault that I lacked the skill to execute them! They really deserve to be written, and written well ...or better at least.

So starting this month I'll be back on FFnet, doing my best to continue my fics and spruce up what's already written until I'm satisfied. I have been continuously writing during my time away (albeit I haven't been posting my works online frequently, and definitely not here) and I feel like I've improved enough that I'm ready to make another go of it. Can't guarantee that my newer writing will agree with those who liked the old stuff, but...well...my happiness in finishing these fics the way they deserve to be written overrides any feelings said readers might have I'm afraid.

For the sake of fair warning: If you like any of these fics as they are now, you'd better save them or something, because the currently posted chapters could disappear or be overhauled at any time without any prior notice. Starting now!
