I.) Everything You Need To Know About Me

First and foremost, I am a Christian. While I am not ashamed of my faith or my beliefs, I will never make it a point to force my beliefs or faith on anyone. That goes for email exchanges, stories, reviews, criticisms, etc, etc. Recently I created a journal that is exclusively dedicated to my writings. The link should be available if you click on my homepage link. I plan on posting updates, ideas and all other sorts of goodies in that journal pertaining to my writing. It'll be open to anyone when it comes to news pertaining to my fan-fictions but my original works and poems will be under a friends lock. Sorry about that but I'm highly overprotective of my original works and poetry. Anyway feel free to stop by my journal if you're looking for updates, news, character information, etc, etc.

As most of you might have noticed, most of my stories tend to have a touch of angst, drama or tragedy but that's only because those are the genres I'm most familiar and comfortable with. After those three genres, I'm pretty good with comedies. With my stories, I always try to have some sort of positive message within them. I also try to make it to where when you're reading my works, you can actually relate and say, "Hey, I know that feeling! I've been through that!" Keeping that in mind, I always make it a point to address realistic issues and problems in my stories. I don't write crazy, nonsensical stories just for the heck of it (unless I'm doing a humor/parody of course) but for the most part, I try to make my stories as realistic as possible. As far as I'm concerned, if I'm able to touch, inspire or brighten up someone's day (even by just a little bit) then that means I've done my job as an author.

My stories tend to focus heavily on familial bonds/feelings as well as showing realistic relationships. I'm of the opinion that if you're going to write about someone else's character, you should try your best to keep them in character as much as possible. Also, I tend to focus so much on family orientated stories because there's a severe lack of this in the real world and here on the internet. Stories don't always have to focus on romance, lust, hate, anger, sex, revenge, angst, depression, tragedy, etc, etc. Don't you think we get enough of that in our lives already?

If I'm not writing family centric stories then I tend to write friendship centric stories. This is mainly because sometimes I want to read about two characters interacting with one another and learning about each other. In the various fandoms I follow, there's no way everyone is all buddy buddy like most fanfiction writers tend to make them. Being friends/family is a hard and difficult job but somebody has to do it! Sometimes I also want to see characters hanging out and doing normal every day stuff. It's a bit boring to always come across romantic comedies or romantic dramas, action/adventures, the occasional mystery/suspense/thriller or even the usual angst/tragedy/drama. Two characters CAN be friends without being in love with other or secretly having a crush on one another. This brings me to my last point.

In case I haven't made it very clear, I do not advocate nor do I enjoy the following stories: yaoi, yuri, shoujo ai, shounen ai, incest, rape, smut or anything else of that nature. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and I can respect that. However, at the end of the day, I think most fanfiction writers have a preference for all of the above. I don't get it nor do I want to get it. I'm quite content liking what I like which is basically non-yaoi stories, family and/or friendship fics, comedies/parodies (that are actually funny and worth the time to read), the occasional romance (as long as it's non-yaoi and believable/realistic), hurt/comfort stories (where the characters undergo an ordeal that forces them to re-evaluate themselves), thought provoking stories that touch on how something SHOULD have happened or plausible and well written what if scenarios concerning canon for the various fandoms I follow and tragedy/angst/drama. Those are the kind of stories I'll read without exception.

My hobbies and interests are pretty wide but the following hold my attention the most: Poetry, Volunteering, Europe, Japan, History, Biology, Writing, Reading, Scientific Research, Traveling, Cooking, Shopping, Anime, Manga, Romance, Original Fiction and Christian Fiction. When it comes to music, I’m willing to listen to anything except gangster rap, heavy metal/rock and country music. As far as movies go, don’t even get me started otherwise we’ll be here all day. Just know that I’m up for watching just about anything but I really love comedies, mysteries, dramas, action/adventures, science fiction and psychological thrillers.

As far as television goes, I’m a huge sucker for the following TV Shows: Scrubs, House, 2003 TMNT Series, Boondocks, Justice League, Justice League Unlimited, Bleach, Inuyasha, Batman: The Animated Series, Batman Beyond and Gundam Wing. As you can tell (based on my hobbies/interests and favorite television shows), I really do like a little bit of everything. This is especially true for the stories I’ve added as favorites over the years. Some of those stories made me feel like I was really watching the show (whether it be cartoon, anime or a TV series) or reading the manga all over again.

II.) Favorite Ships

Gundam Wing: Duo/Hilde, Quatre/Dorothy, Wufei/Sally & Wufei/Meiran

I know you were all expecting Heero/Relena to be in my list but they didn't make the cut. While I do believe that they have a very beautiful love and loads of chemistry, they just don't tug at my heart. Not only that but nearly every fan always writes about them. I guess I'm suffering from 1xR burnout but I also can't write them convincingly to save my life. I'll leave their stories up to you diehard 1xR fans but I do love them. Duo/Hilde hold a special place in my heart because they're the classic best friend couple that might end up being together. I'm a sucker for romances like that. Quatre/Dorothy is actually my favorite couple because they're so different but similar. Quatre is kind, sweet, gentle and loyal and he used to hate himself but gradually grew to accept himself. Dorothy, however, is the complete opposite. Deep down, she's really a kind person but she hates herself for being weak. She wants to be strong and invunerable but she's not. The reason why I like them as a couple so much is because they highlight each other's strengths and weakness'. It's like they're yin and yang. As for Wufei/Sally, I prefer them as a couple when they're older. I'm turned off by the idea of them being together while he's fifteen. Give him some time to grow and mature and then I bet you the sparks will be flying! As for Wufei/Meiran, there's a lot of untapped potential between them. Wufei's life would have been completely different had she not died. I'm of the opinion that he's going to dedicate his entire life as well as his outlook on life, people, etc based on what Meiran taught him. Clearly she was important to him if he decided to name his Gundam after her and to fight in memory of her.

Fruits Basket: Kyo/Tohru, Ayame/Mine & Haru/Rin

I simply adore the relationship between Kyo and Tohru. I think they're one of the best anime/manga couples in existence. For once, someone decided to do a romance based on how much they want to be together but can't because of difficult circumstances. There was no over-exaggerated lust/desire and no sex involved in the anime or manga. For once, someone did a tragic romance not because one of them was going to die or because their families were against them being together. They loved one another and clung to each other because all they had was one another. I dare anyone to tell me that Kyo and Tohru don't have a beautiful romance!

Ayame and Mine, however, are a completely different story altogether. I like them as a couple because Ayame strikes me as the type to do whatever he pleases and whenever he wants. I've always thought he was the guy who could have anybody he wanted but when it comes to Mine, he seems to have met his match. Mine isn't afraid of him or his eccentric ways. You would think they wouldn't mesh but they're just so perfect for each other. Besides, who else besides Mine could put up with Ayame?

Haru and Rin are in a league of their own entirely. If Kyo and Tohru's love was beautiful then Haru and Rin definitely had the tortured/haunting love. I couldn't help rooting for them because they deserve to be together. After everything they've been through, how can they NOT be together? Then again, maybe I'm a sucker for tragically doomed romances?

Inuyasha: Inuyasha/Kagome & Sesshomaru/Rin (when she's older!)

Everybody and their mother loves Inuyasha and Kagome as a pair but I sometimes hate them as a pair. Has anyone ever stopped to wonder why is it okay for Inuyasha to get abused left and right by Kagome because he's always running off to Kikyo? Cut the guy some slack. He can't get over his first love just because everyone else wants him to! Granted, I'd be upset too if the guy I liked kept running off to his ex but they weren't even together when he did! If she was so in love with him, she should have the guts to confess way earlier in the series instead of getting jealous and being all prickly. Nobody even said a word when Kouga would come around and she wouldn't do anything to get rid of him. I like them together I really do, but sometimes I wish Kikyo were alive just so he wouldn't get abused so much. At least Kikyo was mature and treated him with respect.

Now this is where things get sticky. I don't like Sesshomaru and Kagura as a couple (even though it was heavily implied that they were supposed to be a couple) because she came from Naraku and because I didn't see any sparks between them. I mean I don't know about any of you but can you honestly tell me that Sesshomaru would be okay being with someone that's practically Naraku? I know she's not Naraku but still! My mind can't get past that fact. I prefer Sesshomaru with Rin (when she's older of course) because I think Sesshomaru is following in the footsteps of his father. His father was powerful and strong in his own right but a human ended up being his downfall. After all, it's been said that history often repeats itself and in Sesshomaru's case, I see him repeating everything his father did.

Bleach: Renji/Rukia, Ishida/Orihime, Byakuya/Yoruichi, Byakuya/Hisana & Urahara/Yoruichi

My ultimate favorite Bleach pairing is Renji/Rukia. I adore them as a couple because they're best friends and they have an awesome chemistry together. On Renji's part, you can tell he loves Rukia. Why else would he have went to so much trouble to rescue her during the Soul Soceity Arc? I mean he went against his captain and was willing to die for her. If that's not love then I don't know what it is! Another reason why I love them so much is because Renji deserves to get a happy ending. Ichigo gets everything. He's the strongest person in the series, he always ends up saving the day, everyone loves him, etc. Renji should at least be allowed to have this one simple pleasure. In my opinion, he deserves it plus him and Rukia make a better couple.

Ishida and Orihime is another couple I go nuts for because it has that sweet feel of first love. Whenever I think of them, I tend to envision them as being the prince and princess. Ishida might be stuck up and somewhat arrogant but put him next to Orihime and suddenly he's adorable beyond belief. Say what you will but the man is a true gentlemen. If only the creator would let them hook up! Ishida's better for Orihime because he would be able to come out of his shell with her. Of course, he'd never hurt her or make her cry unlike a certain someone she obsesses over...

As for Byakuya and Yoruichi, they're my guilty pleasure pairing of Bleach. I know there's no way they're going to end up together but everyone is entitled to having a crack pairing right? I like them together because Byakuya needs to lighten up and Yoruichi would be the perfect woman for the job. Then again, I don't think Byakuya is going to let anyone else into his heart considering what happened with Hisana. Byakuya and Hisana was as tragic as it comes.

Urahara and Yoruichi... You can't tell me they're not together. Why did she leave the Soul Society roughly around the same time he did? Why would she put up with a man like Urahara in the first place when clearly she could have anyone she wanted? They fit so well together plus they're best friends. Again, I'm a sucker for the best friend pairings.

Sailor Moon: Inner Senshi/Shinnetou

Now I'm sure I shocked most of you since I didn't list Usagi/Mamoru but I actually don't like them as a couple. I think it's unfair that Usagi got everything. She gets to be Queen, she gets to have her King, she has a daughter and almost everyone in the series was in love with her. Why should she get all the love?! At any rate, I love the Inner Senshi with the Shinnetou for two reasons. Number 1: The Inner Senshi deserve to be loved and who better to love them than the Shinnetou? I mean it's not like they can just randomly hook up with a civilian from Crystal Tokyo now can they? Besides, it was implied in the manga that the Shinnetou were meant to be the counterparts to the Inner Senshi. Number 2: They look good together and would have made the Stars season a lot more interesting had the Shinnetou re-entered the scene. Besides, their relationships have that tragic romantic feel to it which always tugs at my heart.

Yu-Gi-Oh: Jounouchi/Mai, Seto/Kisara & Seto/Shizuka

Jounouchi/Mai were meant to be which is why I was very upset when the creator deemed their relationship to be friendly. Jounouchi clearly had a thing for Mai and there's no denying that she returned his feelings. Pay close attention to their behavior around each other during the Battle City Arc and you'll see what I mean. Even in the anime only Orichalcos arc, there were plenty of hints that showed how much they cared for another.

Seto/Kisara is actually my favorite pairing in the Yu-Gi-Oh fandom because it's the classic cold hearted jerk being paired with the sweet and sensitive girl. I don't think Kisara would change Seto like so many other authors are guilty of doing but they would have made a good couple. Seto needs some loving! He's been through enough trauma as is. It would have been nice if the creator saw fit to let Seto have a little taste of heaven but the creator didn't explore their relationship. He dropped hints about it but she wasn't reincarnated like everyone else was which is so unfair!

Seto/Shizuka... For those of you who are curious, Shizuka is Jounouchi's little sister (Serenity). At first I didn't like them because I thought, "There's no way they'd work out. Seto would have her for breakfast, lunch and dinner!" Imagine my surprise after having read some very convincing fiction about them. After that, I was hooked! A few authors are of the opinion that Shizuka is Kisara's reincaranation and while it's fun to work with that angle, it's not true. Kisara couldn't be reincarnated because her soul is tied to the Blue Eyes White Dragon. That explains why Seto is so obsessed with the Blue Eyes White Dragon. But if I had to pick anyone other than Kisara for Seto then I'd pick Shizuka.

III.) Updates About Current Works

Love Is A Battlefield: I'm currently at the halfway point for this ficlet. I think I might be able to wrap it up with maybe two to four more chapters. The major problem I've come across with this story is that I want to keep it as a light hearted but realistic romantic comedy, unfortunately my muse has other things in mind. It took a lot out of me to finish chapter eight simply because I was trying to avoid making the story a dramatic romance. That's one reason why it's taken me so long to update this story. I'm hoping within the next few months, I can get this story finished but if not just bear with me please? Right now, I'm mulling over the possibility of making a sequel to this story but that's just a conjecture at this point in time.

Just One Of Those Days: I haven't given up on this story! I just ran into a really bad case of writer's block. I'm not too happy with the first chapter (it's too flat for my liking but in my defense, it was an older story that I wrote) and the second chapter was basically the spring board for the actual plot. I KNOW what I want to do with the story but I just can't find the right motivation to sit down and finish this story. So currently this ficlet is on hold until my muse decides to bless me with some major inspiration.

Gundam Wing:

Somewhere I Belong

Summary: Just the very thought of him now having a permanent and stable home along with family and friends was strange. For someone like him, it was unheard of to actually have a place to return to let alone having someone waiting for him.

Inspiration: Basically I want to try my hand at exploring the relationship between Trowa and Catherine. No one ever gives the two of them a chance to properly shine on their own you know? Most fanfictions tend to have Trowa always off somewhere with Quatre and Catherine tends to get pushed into the background. So I figured it wouldn't hurt to try and write something for them.

It Just Had To Be You

Summary: Not all friendships are easy. These friendships, however, are made of something else entirely.

Inspiration: This story came about because I was getting a bit bored not to mention annoyed with how everyone assumed that everyone in the series was buddy buddy. To me, I think it would take time and a whole lot of patience for certain characters to reach the friendship level. At best, mostly everyone in the series was either acquaintances or allies. Only a few characters really did become friends. So basically this is my attempt to explore how certain characters ended up becoming friends.

Inuyasha:

Better Than Me

Summary: She loved him and yet she had no idea how much pain she caused him.

Inspiration: Over the years, I've read countless stories about how Kagome is the one who suffers the most because Inuyasha is always going after Kikyo, Inuyasha breaks her heart by cheating on her, Inuyasha tries to rape her, Inuyasha forces her to leave him for Sesshomaru, etc, etc. Basically I got sick and tired of seeing Kagome being portrayed as the one who's always hurt and suffering. Inuyasha has feelings too! So this particular story is going to tackle a few sensitive issues between the two. No I'm not going to tell you what I have in mind. You'll just have to come and read the story when it's finally uploaded.

Sailor Moon:

Broken Dreams

Summary: "Don't you think it's unfair that your beloved princess has a loving partner, a promising future as the Queen of Crystal Tokyo and even a daughter yet all of you have nothing to show for yourselves?"

Inspiration: I just couldn't leave well enough alone. I wrote my first Sailor Moon story about a year ago "Inexpicable" because I wanted to do a story that showed Nephrite in a positive light. Far too often, he ends up being horribly abused in fan works so that was my way of showing that he was more than just a hot headed jerk. So sue me for picking him as my favorite male Sailor Moon character. At any rate, with this particular story, I think the summary is the best way I can describe the story without giving too much away. Just because I'm mean and evil, this story will have Senshi/Shinnetou goodness but that's all I'm going to say! It is highly probable that I might start work on this story next but don't hold me to that.
