Author has written 6 stories for Princess Bride, and Jeeves. Hello, I'm UnseenCharacters, and my fandom is Mostly Dead. I'm probably older than most people here, and I mostly write when I'm ill. I've no idea why that is, but I tend to lack inspiration when feeling well, and if I try to force it, I can't write worth toffee - so if I've started something and not finished it, it's because I got better. Sorry. Countess Cliché is going to have to wait until my next sniffle, and my epic is going to have to wait until I get a good dose of 'flu. This pattern may well change soon, as I suspect it's more about mental gear than anything else. It's not easy for me to switch back and forth between writing shell scripts and writing fiction, but soon I won't have to do so - I've quit my city job, and I'm going to do something simple and local (and won't that pay cut sting!) while I study with the Open University. My family are planning to emigrate to Spain in a few years, so I'm doing a Modern Languages (English/Spainish) degree with a view to teaching English there. As my Spanish improves, I hope to start writing in both languages. | |||||||
