For those who want to know, I'm just another biology student who fancies herself something of a writer. Aside from that, I'm 28, happily in love and constantly fighting with my boyfriend over the computer in order to keep writing, playing games and otherwise waste my time.
Hmmm... maybe a little update is needed here. OK, here goes:
species: undeterminable
homeplane: Carceri
orientation: predator
habitat: a country resembling a Nokia cell phone - Every year, it gets smaller and smaller.
ecology: Aside from writing, as previously stated, I also study biology, which is to say I'm constantly wrestling many a stupid exam. Sadly, none too succesfuly, so I guess I'll be a student for a rather long time. Sigh...
activity cycle: nocturnal
diet: carnivore
deity: none; religion-proof
weapons of choice: words; other people's stupidity
combat: dirty
alignment: chaotic-creative, often contradictive
likes: few things and even fewer people; writing, lazy leisure and loud Heavy Metal
dislikes: too many things to be listed
absolutely hates: see above; arrogance, ignorance, meakness, weak personalitites, bad writings, mushy and pointless romance, having over 60 hits per chapter in less than three days, yet only several reviews to show for it and when people put "favorite pairings" in their portfolios
A word or two on what I wrote thus far:
The Clash of Shadows - A HotU fic focusing on insanity, selfishness and personal declines; focusing, also, on putting "dark" back in "UnderDark", thus replacing the fluffy pink bucket of paint that got liberally splashed onto drow and their homeland in-game. Don't expect any "heroics" performed by any of the cast, lead character in particular. And no, it is NOT a romance! Never was, never will be. "Romance" genre (if it can be called 'genre' at all) is just a suitable way of showing "how a canon character fell in sweet lurve with my overpriced OC" while neglecting the unimportant bits of writing such as, say, plot or grammar. That's not the kind of stuff you'll catch me writing.
Venom In His Soul - A one-shot written on a spur of a moment in less then an hour and therefore littered with grammar mistakes. I'm still very, very fond of it regardless. Basically, exploring the only thing I found even remotely interesting in the original NWN campaign (Cookies to whoever can name a more shallow RPG game then that, NWN2 OC notwithstanding). Anyway, the summary for this one might be that "heroes" for the most part are not heroic at all. Rather, they get caught up in the big events while their prime goal and driving motivation remains something completely diferent. Also, adding some paint to the mental picture of a certain elf to resemble his nick name more closely... the paint's mostly green.
Chaos AD(an'D) - something that was born out of need to ridicule all the fantasy cliches that I absolutely hate. Also, I needed a break from my main project - the Shadows - and wanted to see if I am actualy capable of writing something that is not dark and angsty but humorous instead. Judging by the reviews and the number of hits here, I think I'm doing just fine. Updated whenever the mood hits me and/or whenever I have another Douglas Adams/Terry Pratchett OD.
Everybody's Weird Like That - as it says in the summary, four one-shots based on Stefan Gagne's wonderful module HeX Coda. Now, I wrote these for fun and practice, inspired by some discusions in Gagne's LJ and... it appears that these babies got more hits in one single night than my other fics get in months! Given the fact that my writing skills are, after all, just average, I'd like to think that the reason for this is because there are many fans of Gagne's great work out there, rather than many fans of my writing. Somebody please tell me that is so, and before I end up having to chase my suddenly overblown writer's ego with a sharp stick!
Sentiments Of Rust - Two poems that can be read as stand-alones, but will make a bit more sense to those who are reading Shadows.
CPS - Joint project of Wolf-Kin and yours truly. Basically, taking a sharp stick and shoving it into every cliche we can find in NWN section. We don't have to look too hard to find those. Not meant to offend anyone; if it's your story/plot/character you happen to recognize in there somewhere though, we ain't appologizing. ;)
