Author has written 5 stories for Phantom of the Opera.

Hello everyone. I am Sarah. Two of my friends and fellow writers on this site are Christine4ever86 and Slina. Please check out their author pages as well. A little about me: I am currently a married college student, a senior studying voice performance and pedagogy. Consequently, my writing time is minimal, but I do try to squeeze it in when I can because I enjoy writing. I apologize if I tend to get too technical when dealing with the voice, vocal cords (or vocal folds), voice lessons, opera, etc. It’s what I do.

One of my greatest loves is The Phantom of the Opera, especially the original novel by Gaston Leroux. My obsession with Phantom began in June of 2003, the first time I head the Original London Cast CD of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical. I fell in love instantly with both POTO and Michael Crawford, hence the name Sarah Crawford. At the point when I discovered the ALW musical, I was pretty clueless as far as other versions go. I had seen the Claude Rains movie (which I don't care for much), and that was all. But now I read, watch, and collect everything Phantom that I can get my hands on. My favorite versions of Phantom are as follows: 1) Leroux, 2) Phantom by Susan Kay, 3) Andrew Lloyd Webber Stage Version, 4) Andrew Lloyd Webber 2004 Movie Version, 5) Lon Chaney 1925 and 1929 Movies, and 6) Charles Dance TV Mini Series, with the other versions following thereafter in no particular order.

Braveheart is second favorite on my list of obsessions. I think Lord of The Rings is wonderful too, although I haven't read all of the books yet. I am also a fan of Jekyll and Hyde, The Scarlet Pimpernel, and The Secret Garden and the musicals based on them. Those addictions, however healthy or unhealthy they may be, are the reasons I am here.

I started writing when I was pretty young, but did not write anything of much value. I love role-playing online (although that has become mostly a thing of the past for me) as well as writing fan fiction. And someday I would love to write something publishable. Your reviews are very much appreciated. They inspire me and help me improve; I could always use constructive criticism.

About my stories: the summaries are below, so I will just list my “progress reports” here.

Erik's Eyes and The Perfect Gift are both one-shots, and therefore they are finished.

Requiem Mass: Their Beloved is complete after two years of abandonment. I hope you enjoy the finished product.

Mazenderan Chronicles is unfinished and currently on hold. I know where I am going with this one; I just need to take the time to finish it. However, I have no earthly idea how long that will take, since I don’t know how many chapters it will take to arrive at the story’s conclusion. Please be patient with me. Updates will come someday, although I am leaning more and more toward the idea of re-writing the entire story. When I started posting this story I was re-working it, and now I believe I want to re-work it yet again from the beginning since my characters and general writing style have changed and developed so much since I last touched this story. I would also like to do some research in order to make it more historically accurate.

Together Forever, my old favorite of the stories, is also unfinished and on hold. I am waiting for a time when my co-author has time to help me finish the story. So please do not give up on this one. It will be finished someday. I just don’t want to do it alone if I can help it. I so enjoy the change in voices with characters that I think my writing the rest of the story alone would ruin it. I could try to write for both characters, but I fear it would not be the same. I am however working on a chapter from Erik’s POV to post some time in the not-so-distant future.

Coming Soon (and yes, “soon” is a relative term):

The Lullaby- A short story exploring Erik’s childhood. This one should have three or four chapters, but I'm still working on the first one and doing the necessary research.

Of Lilac Trees and Scarlet Scarves- An R/C oneshot that’s been floating around in my head begging to be written for several months.

More stories yet to come, possibly even a Jekyll and Hyde fic when I have time to get that one on paper. Thank you all for your reviews.
