Hey all,
The Quintessential Author is the screen name of
possibly one of the most exciting collaborations in the Advance Wars
fandom of all time. In the middle of February 2005, Jon Foulds posted a
small notice on livejournal.com, asking if anyone was interested in
doing a joint fic with two or three writers. Faced with a scarily
positive response, he accepted the offers of four other writers, and
over the next few weeks, a fic began to take shape.

there, I'm Foulds, and I suggested this fic in the first place, and
then knocked together the first draft out of the huge number of ideas
that we came up with as a group. I will be mainly writingmy part of
thefic from Sami's perspective, though I'll also take up other
characters as necessary. My most well known fic is Hawke's Vengeance,
which may one day get a sequel. Personally, I'm astudent at
universityin England, presently reading Classics at Oxford. I hated the
film Troy, I love tea, I am the epitome of Britishness, and I think
that the jellyfish, the wasps and the venus fly traps are in an evil
alliance against me.

the very start, lending a creative hand to the (already formidable)
