Author has written 17 stories for Inuyasha.

I'm a 24-year-old female Californian with an Inuyasha obsession and a useless BA in English. That pretty much sums it up. I'm currently waiting to hear back from grad schools, so keep your fingers crossed for me!

Hope you like my stuff. I pretty exclusively write Inuyasha/Kagome pairings: Inuyasha is my favorite character and the thought of him with anyone but Kagome kills me, so there you go. Sango/Miroku is usually par for the course, and with Sesshoumaru it's usually a toss-up between Kagura and Rin (adult, adult) for me, depending on what best fits the story. I never start something I can't finish, so you don't need to worry about me ever leaving you hanging on a story--permanently, that is. Feel free to leave comments and feedback on my stories. I always love to hear from you guys!!

Update 2-21-09: Chapter 11 on Until My Dying Day is now up. I'm refraining from starting to post anything else at the moment, because 1) I don't like posting first chapters unless I feel confident that I have enough inspiration to see the project through (that's partly why I tend to post such ridiculously long one-shots), 2) I tend to actively change key details as I write, so I have to make sure that I have my story set-up down before I plunge ahead, and 3) I don't want UMDD to get pushed by the wayside. It's one of my more creative, delicate (I don't know exactly why I think of it that way, but I do) pieces, and I have a special fondness for it. I want to make sure it stays my priority until it's finished. It's more than halfway through, I think... maybe 5 more chapters... but that's a very rough estimate. I'm doing something unusual for me this time (I've said this before) in that I'm not really planning things out ahead of time at all. I have a vague point I'm working towards, but how the story will get there and what will happen afterwards is all up in the air. It's kind of fun that way.

And shhh, you didn't hear this from me but... I do have a couple of one-shots in the works. :P

A big big thanks to everyone who voted for my stories in The Inuyasha Fanguild's quarterly awards!

Story Notes:
(2/21/09: I just added this section on my profile on the off chance that someone might be interested in my self-indulgent thoughts on my fics :P)
Roughly in order from oldest to most recent--minor spoilers may be present:

A Lapse of Judgment: I can't believe this was actually the first fic I posted... oh, the memories. This was actually just a scene from a much more complicated fic that I was writing, and then lost in the Great Hard-Drive Crash of '05. Looking back, this was probably one of my lamer ideas--basically a standard college-aged AU set in the U.S., featuring Inuyasha as an egotistical varsity basketball player (along with Kouga and Miroku), Sango as a cheerleader, and Kagome as a new transfer student/miko running from a troubled past that involves the Shikon no Tama. In this story, Rin was her younger sister, who shows up at her dorm with the news that Naraku has returned and is hunting them down... duh duh duh. Kagome and Rin end up at Sesshoumaru's place for protection, with Inuyasha's help, and Sesshoumaru finds himself developing...feelings... for the mute, scarred younger girl. It was primarily an InuKag fic, but at the time (this was earlier in my Inuyasha interest, before my pairing and character preferences, ahem, cemented) I was also having an emotional fling with Sesshoumaru :P. Ironically, this is the only part that survived. Lesson: Always back up your work, kids. But I also was working on a Sess/OC story at the time... which is better off dead, buried, and forgotten. Anyway, I won't ever actually write this story now, but if you see Inuyasha crop up as a basketball player in the next few months... don't be surprised ;P.

If You Could Only See: Well, I had to get all those fluffy cliches out of my system somehow. Not one of my better fics, nor original, but hey, it was a start. One of these days I'll get around to taking out the song lyrics--song lyrics in stories has become one of my... less favorite fanfiction motifs. But I'm lazy, so it will be awhile. Other than that, this fic has been pretty completely laid to rest, and I leave it up here for old times' sake.

A New Game: My first completed chaptered fic. :) Lame title and cliched premise aside, I enjoyed writing this one, especially the bits with Youkai Inuyasha. First lemon, too. I may go through it at some point and tighten up some of the more sophomoric writing. I also want to make Kagome's character a little less pathetic in certain ways--the whole thing about the guys at her school seems kind of dumb and unnecessary now. And Kikyou's place in the story needs some work too. But that won't happen unless I'm very, very, very bored.

Osuwari: I wrote this story because I hate that #@!ing rosary. It seems to me that it gets used a lot more in the anime than the manga... but that doesn't make it right. Ugh. Flattening your best friend for relatively minor transgressions... not cool, Kagome Higurashi. Granted, there's more to it than that, but I fail to see any slapstick comic appeal. Okay, rant over. This fic was my way of dealing with that situation, and I am quite fond of it and the way it turned out despite its flaws. A couple plotholes that need paving over, and I'll get to those at some point.

The Triumph and the Agony: This was something of a departure for me, which made it fun to write. I am sure the title comes from somewhere, but have no idea where (my brain is full of useless junk like this) so hopefully it's not a source too completely wrong for this story :P. Not that it matters. Basically, this story revolves around a Sango/Naraku history. Like, what-if they had gotten together before she knew that he was the bad guy and not just some kind lord? I like the premise, though the massive bug battle/mass carnage was, in retrospect, a bit much. There's also a hint of Sess/Sango in there at the end, if you squint really hard. This was still early on enough for me to have a Sess thing, especially when paired with Sango. This is to blame in part on a fantastic story called Soledad by Thunk, which is my favorite part of a three-part series. Definitely check that one out.

Mirrors: Man, what a ride. This was around the time when my fanfiction writing really started taking off--I guess it just goes to show that AU is where I get my better ideas. I actually started writing this story after Unleashed, but my inspiration took off and I ended up finishing this one before I got that far into the other, if I remember correctly. The premise is one of my favorites--the whole canon Inuyasha romance is built around the idea of him dealing with his love's reincarnation--so what if the story was reversed? This was one of my sadder stories, in a way--despite the happy ending, the fact that Yash is Inuyasha's reincarnation--and not Inuyasha himself--is bittersweet. At least to me, but I'm just a sucker when it comes to that stuff. In fact, I don't know if I would be capable of writing it anymore, that's how attached I've grown to the Inuyasha characters. Pretty pathetic, huh? It's also one of my most popular stories. Revisions will happen at some point--I felt I left a few things unsatisfactorily resolved, especially about Yash's sister Kyoko, and the chronology of the events got complicated and screwy and still needs help. I may (and this is a big maybe) write a one-shot type sequel at some point. Incidentally, there is also a side one-shot based on Shippou's story in the Mirrors universe posted in my Ramen Noodles collection. At any rate. One of my favorite stories.

Unleashed: Along with Mirrors, the story of mine that people seem to like the most, and another one of my personal favorites. Also, of all my stories, probably the one I put the most work, time, and creative effort into. Hence the mega-chapters. Complicated storyline, complicated universe... but I like to think it paid off. I loved Inuyasha and Kagome's characters in this one, and I had a lot of fun writing the "other" pairings, instead of just following the obligatory courtship patterns. The Sess/Kagura story particularly strikes a chord with me. I also managed to write Kouga and Kikyou's characters--for the first time--in a way that I actually liked. I think it could still use some revision, and this story is high on my To Revise list. A couple issues of plausibility still bug me, and I always thought I should actually show Inuyasha actually fighting in the arena, but never managed to work it in. Also--of all my stories, this wins Most Likely to Have a Sequel. :) There's a lot of juice in this universe yet, and I'm not going to let it go to waste.

On the Night of the New Moon: This was conceived as a stand-alone one-shot, and then I came back a good amount of time later to add a second part from Inuyasha's point of view. I like this one because I thought it gave Kagome some believable (and crucial) character development that canon fanfics tend to lack. Then I got carried away with the romance side of it, so Inuyasha had to have his say. I struggled with the believability of him having to walk for days with an injured Kagome, but I decided to let that detail be. Revisions, possible: Sequel, no. All in all, my favorite straight canon story, not that it has a lot of competition.

Ramen Noodles: My one-shot collection. I've updated it sporadically, but I'll just clump my notes together here.
~And He Saw the Stars: My "Mirrors-verse" Shippou one-shot. I actually really like this one. Shippou kind of gets the short stick in a lot of fanfiction--including mine, sometimes--though I have to say I'm not a big fan of the annoying little prankster he's usually portrayed as. This was my chance to explore the way I think his character would develop (under these circumstances).
~Matchmaker: By no means do I actually think this is what Kouga is really doing, but it was a fun idea to play with. My stories often tend toward angst, so it was fun to do something strictly comedic. Probably could use a little tweaking but will be left as-is for the foreseeable future. Continuation unlikely.
~Waiting: Doesn't Inuyasha make a great cowboy? Yummy... Though I didn't say this in the story, I pictured it as being set in Australia, early twentienth century. I feel that someone like Inuyasha would never be too comfortable in crowded places, and would continually seek out wilder, frontier-type places--until Kagome reappeared in his life, at which point all bets would be off. :) Incidentally, I imagine this story with a happy ending, so you should too.
~Of Puppies and Kisses: Fluffy nonsense. Good times. I rather enjoyed writing Miroku in this.
~Perfection: A lot of high self-expectations floating around in the Inuyasha world. A little exploration into the Kik-Inu-Kag love triangle (which is now, thank god, moot).
~Beg: This story didn't turn out quite the way I wanted--the idea, as it occured to me, gave a big old tug on my heartstrings that seemed to be lacking from its written form. But maybe that was because I already knew it... so I am curious to know peoples reactions to this one in particular. Still, I like it, and it seems believable to me--Inuyasha waiting until the last possible moment to try to keep Kagome from leaving, and her waiting until the last possible moment to go.
~Ramen Noodles: I knew there was a connection between Kagome and ramen for Inuyasha in there somewhere. I enjoyed exploring his psychology a little.
~Of Puppies and Kisses Part 2: Fluffy nonsense Part 2. Not as good as the first part, in my opinion--I wrote this one mainly by reader request, but that doesn't excuse bad writing or lame cliches. :D

Fragile: An AU oneshot I enjoyed writing, and have since done some pretty heavy revision for. A good exercise in storytelling for me, and I liked developing their relationship and characters in small snapshots of time. My first strictly human Inuyasha. Generally I prefer writing him as hanyou, or, in lieu of that, with his hanyou coloring, but this fic gave me a new appreciation for that dark-haired guy who shows up once a month ;)

Vigil: The structure of this one, with its strong sense of chronology, really helped me pull it together, and made it more unique, I like to think. Seems to be a pretty popular one with my readers too. The "common fanon cliche" I refer to in my author's notes is actually, I suppose, one of several that are present, but the one I meant was the cliche of youkai marking their mates with a bite and thereby being bound to them for all eternity. I'm still not sure how I feel about that--it's a nice, neat story tool, and I use it myself as the mood takes me, but it also seems rather... too convenient. In this case, I wanted to explore its negative side. I think such external bonds would be nowhere near as strong as the bonds that Inuyasha and Kagome come to form in this story. I liked, also, thinking of Inuyasha as an artist, and though that did not really come into play in this story, it may in future stories.

A Question of Probability: I envisioned my college campus the entire time I wrote this, and I still see it in my mind's eye every time I read it, which sometimes makes it difficult for me to actually see whether the whole set-up rings true...but anyway. I had way too much fun writing Inuyasha as a total stuck-up @hole and then gently nudging him toward redemption. This story could probably use some work, especially Kagome's character/history, but I'm basically done with it.

I Dreamed of You: There are a number of stories, some of them pretty good, about some variation on "Kagome woke up and it was all a dream...or was it??" This is the opposite of that, with Inuyasha coming out of a coma. I was working on this during one of my darker periods, which explains the dark elements, but I don't consider it a true darkfic. Parts of it were difficult to write, in more ways than one, but as a whole the story felt satisfying, and I like the way it turned out, even though the emotional tug-of-war between Kagome and Inuyasha gets a bit heavy-handed at times. It's also my favorite lemon I've written. :P I left the reality of this one a bit open-ended: in other words, what really happened? I guess I'll explain my thoughts behind it here, though it gets weirdly metaphysical and I don't entirely understand it myself, heh. Basically, both "lives" that Inuyasha lives are real--the one as a hanyou and the one as a human. Two parallel worlds/realities, and as a result of Inuyasha's trauma, his soul lived both. Because of his connection to Kagome--basically, they're soulmates (corniness alert!)--she remembered both as well. The feudal era one was kind of a "past" to Inuyasha's "present"--the coma his equivalent of falling down the well. Hence, the suggestion of youkai ancestors... you see what I mean about metaphysical weirdness? And this is without even getting into the whole thing of fiction vs. reality, and realities the mind creates, and what "real" really means. In any case, if you want to shoot me a PM or email, I'd be happy to discuss it further with you, but I don't think that a deep understanding of the way this story "works" is necessary. The important thing is that both Inuyasha's lives were true. To be revised.

Tokyo Kid and the Demon: This is my favorite guilty pleasure one-shot. I combined several of my favorite cliches (which aren't necessarily limited to IY fanfic) including: one character unwittingly developing a positive relationship with a disguised enemy, the chatroom romance (go read Fanmail by dolphingirl0113 RIGHT NOW), the reflection of life in art (via Kagome's ridiculous play), the bad boy with the good heart, and the Inu/Kag enemies-to-friends motif. Parts of it still seem a little forced to me, but overall I'm happy with it. There are a couple small things that could use some revision (i.e. plausibility stretches I made for the sake of the plot), and this is another fic high on the To Revise list. One thing that I don't get into in the story is the reason behind Sesshoumaru's mysterious donation to Kagome's cause. Basically, it was my idea that he bullied and resented Inuyasha when they were younger, when Inuyasha most needed an ally (especially with an aggressively uncaring stepmother and distant, alcoholic father), and now that Sesshoumaru's grown up a little he's seen the error of his ways. I don't know if that's suggested enough in the story.

Demons in the Night: A Halloween-themed oneshot that I loved writing. Usually I spread these long one-shots over a period of weeks or (more often) months, but this one I managed to get done less than a week. I really had fun with the idea of Inuyasha being in denial over his attraction to Kagome and taking out his insecurities in compitition with her. It just seemed to fit him. And Halloween is a great holiday for Inuyasha fanfiction... for obvious reasons.

This Is All Your Fault: A pretty straightforward AU high-school oneshot. It was something light and fluffy to help balance out some of the darker themes in my other stories. I often work on several fics at once--not a great policy, because it's that much harder to get one of them done. In this one I basically just let their personalities bounce off each other, and it was fun writing strictly from a male's POV.

Until My Dying Day: My current project. I'll put up notes when I finish.

Note: I try to respond to people's questions as they crop up, but I'm pretty sure some have slipped through the cracks. If you have a question for me and actually want a response, just send me a PM or email and ask!

I've gotten a couple requests to join communities as a staff member, which is flattering, but I'm spread thin enough as it is, so I won't be joining any communities. Thanks for the offers though!
