Author has written 2 stories for Love Hina.

My name is Motoko, I live in San Jose Ca, and I... am an OTAKU!

my favorite anime/manga include: Ah! my goddess, Bleach, Buso Renkin, Chibi Vampire, Dears, Fruits Basket, Fushugi Yuugi: Genbu Gaiden, Ghost in the Shell, Initial-D, Inuyasha, Laputa, Love Hina, Read or Die, Rurouni Kenshin, and School Rumble.

just about the only way you would have gotten to my profile is if you read one of my stories. so...

the good news: I have finished the next chapter and a half for one of them.

the bad news: my computer died and took it to the grave. I CAN exume the hard drives, but not until I get a new computer. due to my lack of a thousand dollars, you guys are very screwed.

in not so recent news, I went to the Fanime convention and had the greatest time of my life. the amusing thing was that it was 24-hr, but nobody was allowed to sleep so... I ended up going to a friends house to pass out on one of the chairs (the floor was so bad I though I'd die from just touching it). another one of the things to laugh about was the weapons policy... you could carry wooden or plastic ones if you were in costume and signed forms. but... what if you buy from the vendors? then you were told to either stash it in a hotel room (if you had one) or go home and leave it there... as for me, home was literally halfway across the city so... mass transit it was... took me 3 hours to get the damn thing home...

another thing was that they had free coffee throughout the entire convention, and I didn't find it until the last day. boy was I pissed...

even through the sweat, tears, blood and blisters, I'd say go to ANY anime convention you have access to. perhaps not if you are going to one out of state (unless you are a real fan) but there should be some just about everywhere.

in California alone:

anime expo (los angeles, jul. 3-6 '08)
comic-con (san diego, jul. 24-27 '08)
a fan's view (san francisco jul. 25-27 '08)
ani-jam (fresno, aug. 2-3 '08)
kin-yoobi con (hayward, aug. 9 '08)
Mahoucon (huntinton beach, aug. 15-17 '08)
Sac-anime (sacramento, aug. 29-31 '08)
con-X-treme (san mateo aug. 29-sep. 1 '08)
mikomicon (northridge, sep. 19-21 '08)
yaoi-con (san mateo, sep. 26-28 '08)
blizzcon (anaheim, oct. 10-11 '08)
ani-magic (lancaster, oct. 18-19 '08)
anime los angeles (L.A. jan. 2-4 '09)
Animation on Display (san francisco feb. 16-17 '09)
fanime (san jose, May 22-25 '09)

now you have no excuse to go to one UNLESS you don't have enough money to get in. normally admission is free to 60, so... you gotta remember that. if you're in a state on the east coast, go to (AnimeCons.com) for info. I will also not personally vouch for any of these except Fanime (15,000 people), as I could guess the one in modesto is going to be tiny, but I haven't gone to it yet so...

Sometimes we build walls to keep ourselves hidden, sometimes they get torn down, sometimes we remove them a bit too early, but you must ask yourself why we do it in the first place.
