-Favorite genres to write:
-Angst. Angst is my best thing to write. I’m really good at any type of angst story. I haven’t encountered a situation yet in angst I couldn’t do. Though that could be a little bit too over-confident; I’m sure there’s some things that I haven't tried that I couldn’t do. I'm currently trying to find a way to create more MelloxNear angst stories. Everything I've done thus far hasn't been enough angst for me, or not real angst.
­-Drama Now, I haven’t quite figured out what exactly this genre specifically means. I mean, every story has drama in it. If it didn’t have a bit of it then there wouldn’t BE a story! It’s basic writing 101, there always has to be some kind of issue going on. But... i've done a couple of stories with this genre before so... i gues i can.
-Romance. There are some types of romance that I can and cannot do. Yuri is currently off the list completely simply because I’ve never read any of it and thus can’t do it. Hentai I can only do If it involves an OC. Yaoi I can do, but only some pairings. Overall though, I enjoy romance. There’s a lot of emotion in that genre that I enjoy delving into. The only thing that i don't like, or that i have problems with when it comes to this genre is that I'm not the type of author who normally has romances happen over the course of one chapter (though you probably will find this in some of my older works.) I believe that, if there's going to be romance, it needs to develop and thus be more realistic. Because of this, i feel it can, at times, hold me back.

-Least favorite genres (or: genres I can’t do as of now):
-Humor. I have nothing wrong with humor stories, really (except crack-fics. I just don’t think there’s any point to them.) I just have to be in the right mindset to do humor, and even then I can’t do them on command. Humor is a place that I haven’t been able to reach yet.
-Horror.­ I never understood this genre. I honestly don’t believe that there’s any way to put horror into a story. Violence is not horror. It’s just… well… violence and gore. Because I haven’t found a way to put true horror into text I can’t do it. Though, it would be interesting to put angst in with it.
-Religious. To be quite honest I love religion as a whole. I think there is a power in some churches and houses of worship that is found in no other place. I am fascinated by this hypnotic power that it’s had over so many people. But I was never brought up around religion, so I see it from the outside and don’t know the things that go on inside of it. I've tried writing one religion-based one-shot, but I think that'll be the end of it for a long while.

-Pairings I support:

Death Note:
-MelloxNear. This is currently my favorite pairing even though I have no idea how I got onto it. I started at MattxNear for about a day, then somehow moved directly to MelloxNear without passing through the MelloxMatt phase. I won't go into my opinions on that pairing at the moment. As for this pairing, I love it because there is serious competeition between the two to the point where it could be argued that Mello has an obsession with Near. There are a lot of spots (well... mainly 2) that can be used to write fics from, unlike other pairings where the timeline is very strict (coughLxLight). I love both Mello and Near as characters and I think they work quite well together as both a couple and as a team because, let's be honest, analyze their characters and one has what the other lacks. They're two pieces to a whole puzzle. I love this about them. I also like how, to an extent, the entire pairing is unbelievable and so one must work harder to make it more believable. And when it is made believable enough, it can really make you see their part of the series differently. When I first got into MelloxNear I had to read some of the books and re-analyze why they did anything. I liked that a lot.
-LxLight. I've come to realize how overdone this pairing is, but that doesn't take away from the fact that the two are almost made for each other. L is just socially-retarded enough to be cute and Light... well... he just works with him somehow. Their minds are nearly equals and yet they seem to compete over everything, though that might be BECAUSE they're equals. I like that part about the pairing and it interests me, but it can be very hard to be original with that pairing. Like i've said, it's just so overdone that it's hard to find something that one author hasn't already taken.
-LightxMisa. Many people would argue that Misa is stupid and pointless and what not but... in the scheme of things, she actually was a beneficial character and actually did do more for the series than people would like to give her credit for. I mean, she even did more than that damn Matt and people still like him better! How does that make any sense? Anyway... the series says this works in one way or another so i support it. I would never write this kind of hentai, or this pairing... but that doesn't mean i haven't read some fics of it, and betad a couple, and what not.

Yu Yu Hakusho:

-HieixKurama: These two are made for each other. They appear to know each other inside and out and know what the other is thinking. Not to mention they seem to spend quite a bit of time together... either during the series or before it. Either way, the two are both great friends and great lovers. It only makese sense that way. It appears Hiei finds some comfort within Kurama, and vise versa because of how much they trust one another, which only supports my claim. I'd go on but as my obsession has moved to another series, I've lost all of my carefully gathered facts... More to be added later though, I'm sure, because while my main focus has moved, that doesn't mean I've lost the love with this series.

-Pairings I do not support:

Death Note:

-MelloxMatt: Anyone who knows me knows that I absolutely despise Matt. He is a pointless character with no personality at all. For all we know, the FF authors who write him could have completely destroyed the original idea for him. I don't care what people say about 'he was made FOR Mello', he was made to stupidly die for Mello so Mello could make sure Near wins. So in the end Matt meant little to him. I do support that Matt is his best friend, but that's where it stops for me. I think that Mello would only see him as a friend and that's it, never anything more. And, for the record, I will never write a MelloxMatt fic for the reason, as I've told a couple people, that I'd end up killing Matt for my own sick pleasure. However, I have read some MelloxMatt simply to see how it works and what not. Thus, I might write a MelloxMatt SCENE just to get out any need to write that pairing that I might have lingering somewhere.

-Writing style:
I am a ‘tell’ type of writer, instead of the ‘show’ writer. (Or in other words, my writing tells people what’s going on rather than showing it, most times.) I am capable of putting in enough detail into my text to show you the images going through my head, but I’m not one of those people who makes three pages of just detail. I am very good at showing you what you need to see in order to follow, but leaving some to the imagination as well.
When it comes to characters I’m very good at making normally unemotional characters have just enough feeling to get by and still keeping them stoic. (Near is my ideal character, let’s put it that way.) Characters such as Mello are harder to do, since he’s unpredictable and contradicting at the same time. But, I’ve never encountered a character that was impossible to re-create on here. I believe that it’s more fun to use someone else’s character anyway. I mean, anyone can make a character and give them a back story and personality, but it’s completely different when you have to take someone else’s idea and use them in your own ideas while still keeping them the way they were intended to be. Doing that is a bit more challenging, and thus more fun. Well… in my opinion anyway.

-Passion:
I understand that there are people who aspire to be writers on this site and I respect them for that choice. But that’s not what I aspire to do, not anywhere close to it. Writing is a passion of mine that seems to have been with me for as long as I can remember. Writing is what I do, all the time and in all situations. When my Dad went to Iraq both times, I wrote. When I meet people that I find I like, I write. When my best friend killed himself, I wrote. Even when I don’t have paper in front of me, or a computer, I’ll write in my head. What I’m saying is that, just because I don’t want to do this for an occupation (though I do want to publish my book) it is so much more than a hobby to me. I do tend to get a bit competative, as well. For example, if I feel someone else does a better work than me, I'll feel so much more will to make my next one even better. There are no words to describe, or explain, why I do what I do. It all just somehow shows in my work.

This is the list of each of my stories that haven't been completed yet, and their current status as well as plans on them and things of that nature. I will be updating this as I get ideas, and as my interest in stories change.

Kiss Away The Pain: I'm currently debating whether or not I want to make a sequel to Broken Pride or not. If anyone thinks so, and has some reasons why (Other than the fact that i didn't really resolve the issue) please PM/email/review me and let me know. Thanks! I'll probably put a poll up about it sometime soon.

Erosion: This story is where my focus is. It's the one that I'm going to be focused on the most -my baby, in a sense. I have so many things that I want for it that I just don't know what I'm going to do! More research, I guess... Oh well... Anyway, I'm spending a lot of time on this, and I hope it starts to show in the writing! I supposed we'll see.

Little Lost Bunny: Basically... All I have to say about this story, is this: Mission: Complete story. Period.

For all stories: School has finally started up again. I'm in my last year of high school and I'm currently taking 3 AP (Advanced Placement) classes and 1 actual college class. So far, my days have been full of rushing around, and working, while my nights have just been filled with... well... homework. Anyway... the point of this is not to brag about what I'm taking, or how far I'm getting. But instead to sadly inform you that I will not be able to update as quickly as I have been able to during the summer. I'm thinking that I'll be able to write some during the weekends, and instead of waiting for them to get beta'd, I'll simply upload them right away. So... continue voting in my poll and sending me feedback, and I'll update my stories when I can. The most frequent that they'll be up should be once a week. Thanks for all the support and everything. I love you all!

For future stories: So... let's see... I currently have 5 stories on here that need completing. Most authors would be freaking/stressing out and trying to get some done. But what am I doing? I'm making MORE stories!! 8 more in fact!! Why? I really don't know. I blame Insanitoon because he's so damn filled with ideas that these kinds of things just pop into my head. Then I just have to start them before anyone else can take my ideas. So... I'm trudging through this process. Finishing stories is not what I'm worried about because i know they'll all get done eventually, it's just the process of getting to the point of completion. Anyway... I'll provide summaries and info about those other 8 stories below. And if any of you like them, then let me know and it might influence what exactly I put up next.

My current thought process: Stressed. That's all I have to say... stress. I can feel the ends of my DNA dying as it is...

-To My Previous Work...-

A note: I understand that many people have read my old, Yu Yu Hakusho stories and really liked them. To everyone who reviewed them, and liked what they read (or who still somehow continue to find my old work and read it) I really thank you for putting up with that. To be quite honest, I look back at my old work on there, and I'm not proud of the majority of it. I was young and seeking to write all of the angst I could in order to fill the kind of stories I wanted to read, at the time. The problem is that I didn't do it very well. There was a time when I thought my writing was good. And if people still think that, then I'm very happy. All of the reviews and the support is what really makes me continue to do this, despite all of the stresses it puts on me. In any case, my interests have moved, and while I still support the Yu Yu Hakusho section. However, I can't go back to it as easily. It doesn't feel the same to me, anymore. Thus, I'm not proud of my work i gave to the section, but I'll leave it up. Partially because I believe someone else out there might enjoy it, and also because I don't believe in deleting stories. I just wanted to use this space to say, thank you, to all of the readers and other authors who were there for me at that time. You lit the way in my, at the time, dark world.

Why the hell are you writing this?!: Well originally the idea came from a story that came from Skyskater, who did a couple of stories like this. Well, my Mello and I decided we wanted to do something like this for the MelloxNear pairing. And since we had a roleplay that fit it, this was the perfect match. This story would be co-authored with her writing every other chapter.

Why the hell are you writing this?!: This story actually started when my Mello and I started analyzing a photo I had of Mello and Near. I won't give away which one, though. Well we ended up going so in depth with the analysis that she thought I should write it, and I took it up. It's hard to find good, plausible angst to do for this without making it OOC, so, I think it would be good to try that again.

Summary: Mello and Matt are only a couple of the many kids alone in the world, living on the streets and stealing from stores every day just to get by. But it's the lifestyle they like. When Mello suddenly comes upon a boy who calls himself Nate, Mello finds himself intrigued with him, and takes him into the group. And from there, on, it becomes an everyday challenge to just get by and survive in the merciless world.
Why the hell are you writing this?!: I got this idea when I was looking through some pictures, and saw one in particular of Mello, Matt, and Near, in street apparel. Then my mind just kind of concocted this. The summary is a little vague, and not very too the point, but that's because instead of starting with a plot, I started with the characters. And because of that, this is more character based. The point is for you, as the reader, to get connected to these little orphans and feel exactly what they're feeling. That's my goal with this story, instead of trying to convey a message to you.

Why the hell are you writing this?!: I decided to do this story because, when I reviewed over the MelloxNear section, I realized that there wasn't really any kind of this story. Not any that was more than a chapter long, anyway. I decided I wanted to be the one to do this story, and I wanted to do it good. That's why, for this, I've stepped things up and I've provided a, in my opinion, VERY good story to how this is possible, and to the things that are happening. Some people might be skeptical about it, but I'm really trying with it, and I think if given the chance to get enough out and posted, people would see that.

Why the hell are you writing this?!: I was actually surveying the Ouran High School Host Club Fanfics when I suddenly came upon this. I don't think I'm copying anyone with this idea, though. Anyway, I really just couldn't pass it up. It's too cute of an idea to just let go, or give away. Besides, it's easy and I really want to give it a shot. With Insanitoon helping out and making chapters too I know that it'll be absolutely wonderful! It's something new for me to do and explore.

Why the hell are you writing this?!: I don't actually know where this story came from. All I really know for sure is that this is my attempt to show Near in a completely different light. Usually, Near is left out or hated on in pairings like MelloxMatt. And while I'm not trying to hate on him, I'm just trying to show him in that manipulative, vicious side of him that we all know he has, while at the same time staying within my chosen pairing.

Why the hell are you writing this?!: I know, I know... I said I would never write MattxMello, and I said I hated Matt. And I really do! Don't get me wrong! But I actually had a dream about this kind of thing happening, and when I woke up I just couldn't let it go, and it wouldn't make much sense as MelloxNear, so I wrote it the way I saw it. the story is really short, and very simple in concept, but it's really just a way to show the relationship between Matt and Mello a little more.

Summary: A war has been on the verge of breaking out between America and Russia, however it's been kept secret in order to prevent world-wide chaos from breaking out. Near is suddenly asked by the American military to take command and try to bring it to end. But on the other side of the world, Mello is asked the same thing by the Russian military. It suddenly is no longer a war, but a game between the two rivals once again.
Why the hell are you writing this?!: Insanitoon gave me the idea for this, in a way. He's currently working on a kickass AU and I decided I wanted to write my own. Well, when we ruled out having a civil war go on in England, this was the next thing that came to my mind. This kind of story might sound boring, but I'm trying to amp it up with awesome tactics and everything. It should be interesting, considering you'd have to chose a side. It comes down to this, who do you want to win, Near, or Mello? The only thing that's holding me back from writing more on this story is that I need a really good grasp on how the Russian military works, just so I can keep this realistic.

How to Tell if You're a Writer

-If you talk to yourself.
-If you talk to yourself about talking to yourself (i.e. ‘I wonder why I talk to myself so much?’)
-If, when you talk to yourself, you sometimes speak as if talking to another person (i.e. ‘Okay, so have you ever noticed that the word ‘deliver’ could mean removing someone’s liver?’)
-If, after uttering a profound piece of wisdom like that above, you stare at the cookie in your hand in awe and say, ‘Wow, this is good stuff for sugar highs!’
-If you live off of sugar and caffeine.
-If people start to notice that you tend to check your e-mail every day for a week, then suddenly disappear off the face of the planet.
-If your e-mails tend to be pages long and incredibly random.
-If, when replying to someone else’s e-mail, you are sometimes so random that you fail to address the original message altogether.
-If you tend to collect the Bic Stics people leave lying around, kind of like picking pennies off the ground.
-If, no matter where you are in your room, you never have to so much as get up to reach a pen/pencil and paper.

My only requests for them is as follows: They not be yuri, no crack-fics, and you at least have some sort of plot idea. (I can't just go off of: "Another LightxL story". Note: So... we all know that the re-write for Broken Pride is in full effect now. But, I actually have a couple ideas that could be used if I decided to do an actual SEQUEL. The thing is, is that I don't have ENOUGH ideas. So, if anyone has any random ideas that they think should be in a sequel to Broken Pride, then please either e-mail them to me (Subject line should say something like, "ideas for sequel.") or PM them to me.
