When I was 10 years old, I was diagnosed with ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder), and it has haunted me ever since. But with the help of friends, family, and wonderful schools I was able to pull myself out of failure. When I was 14, I moved to Ashland, Oregon, home of the Oregon Shakespeare festival, to attend high school. Needless to say, high school actually changed me for the better, and made me realize my passions in language, music, and child development, and also taught me how to be okay with who I am. I was in the high school choir, who had to be the best in the state of Oregon, and we are state-reknown as such. After graduation, which had to be the proudest day of my life, I went off to college at UC Santa Cruz, where I am currently reaching the end of freshman year. Although very intimidated by the amount of work and responsibility, I came to realize that my calling is linguistics, so I am no majoring in Language Studies. Ispent my junior year of college in Granada Spain where I learned crazy Andalucian Spanish, and I loved it so much I am hoping to return for graduate school. I am currently in my senior year of college and I plan to get a masters degree in Interpretation and Translation.
