Author has written 7 stories for Super Smash Brothers, and Zelda.

"A bitch is a bitch is a bitch is a bitch." - Ernest Hemingway

General tidbits that nobody cares about:

Online Name/Alias: Babykoalaprincess.
AKA: BKP/Zelink fan whore.
Status: Alive under Heaven's eyes.
Occupation: Harassing Royal Kenya (RK) from time to time/Co-moderator of the Live Journal Zelink Community
Location: USA.
Hobbies: Dancing, reading, singing (to myself), video gaming, and writing.
Favorite Video Games: Jet Force Gemini, the Legend of Zelda series, Final Fantasy VIII & IX, Oni, Resident Evil 4, and the Super Smash Brothers series.
Favorite Color: Blue.
Aspirations: To be the best human being as possible, to be fluent in various languages, to cosplay as some of my favorite characters, have a balance of the necessary things in life, to find real and true love, & live life as freely as I can with happiness all around me.

A little info about me:

I'm horribly talented procrastinator, and I can be an attention whore. To simplify that for you, I'm a downright, stupid mean bitch when I want to be. (Hence the quote above.) I live in a very non-diverse small city, studying my butt off to make sure I reach my goals. My memory of a boy I like has an expiration date 10,000 years from now. I dance too much, and because of that I look ridiculously skinny. I'm strictly nocturnal, meaning I sleep during the day and live during the night. I enjoy reading blogs of people I like. "Abnormal" is how my family describes me as if it's a bad thing. I hate having long fingernails and toenails because they get in the way with everything I do. I like wearing clothing that makes me look androgynous, blowing bubbles from gum, listening to the same song over and over again, frequently calculating my GPA, and being devilish/cute/unique.

Last notes necessary to know:

- I'm gracious to people who give me criticism, so please don't ever hesitate to point out mistakes. It makes me grow as a writer and it makes me happy.

- I write for fun, not for hit/review/favorite/alert count.

- I point out the good and bad in people's scribbles.

- I'm trying not to get a swelled head with everything. I self-doubt myself a lot, which is a good thing in some ways. People may be aware of their writing skills, but the truth is... everyone is far from being masters at writing. We're all still growing. If you get a swelled head, you'll pay for it later. Heck, I'm still learning new things with writing!

Quote of the Time:

"Berlin's Brown Eyes says (1:37 AM): Posting user stats is an inaccurate popularity indicator.

Babykoalaprincess says (1:37 AM): Agreed.

Berlin's Brown Eyes says (1:37 AM): They should divide the number of times they've been added to an author's favorite list by the number of stories they've written."

Babykoalaprincess' (BKP's) Fan Fiction Meme:

Why did you create an account on the site?

My best friend was addicted to the Meryl and Vash coupling from Trigun and Integra and Alucard pairing from Hellsing. She had an account and was writing some fan fiction. Being the overly paranoid best friend that I am, I created an account because I thought I was going to lose her if I wasn't involved in the same things as she was. I originally thought fan fiction was stupid, but I'm still writing it unlike her. :P

How did you get into fan fiction?

Probably when I was looking at another friend's account. Queenie 64 doesn't write, but I was looking at under favorites and that's how I discovered two authors that introduced me to romance in the Super Smash Brothers section/gave me inspiration to write, Royal Kenya and halomasterchief.

What was the first fan fiction story you read? Did you like it? Do you still like it?

The first fan fiction I read was a Fruits Basket one called: Come Together by k40Sohma. My review on chapter 11 basically sums up everything I thought about it at the time. Of course, my opinion has greatly changed since then. Since it was my first time reviewing and my first time reading a fan fic, I can't say that I have any fond memories over it.

What made you want to write fan fiction?

I first wrote fan fiction because I was interested in the whole idea of Lulu and Mikau being a couple after playing Majora's Mask. However, I wrote it without any goal in mind. After reading a few well-written fan fics about my favorite pairings, I realized that I really wanted to go and write my own fan fic. I found inspiration to write a serious story after playing on my cousin's GameCube during Christmas time in Toronto and endlessly reading Royal Kenya's Lay Off MY Guy!, halomasterchief's LAH: Life After Hyrule, and The Princess Zelda's A Torn Destiny in my grandmother's house.

What was the first fan fiction that you wrote? What was it about? How do you feel about it?

As I said, I first wrote a Lulu and Mikau fan fic titled The Sound of the Waves, but that didn't go too well. It was basically the relationship of Lulu and Mikau before Majora's Mask. There was no plot, Mikau was a Gary Stu, and I had no idea what I was doing with it, so I deleted it.

Do you have any odd preferences for when reading fan fiction? Such as, font type or size and width?

Fan fics I read have to be Times New Roman. I don't know why. I dislike reading fan fics in all the other fonts, except for that one. I generally read things in size twelve. Or I think it's in size twelve. I don't care that much for width when reading.

Does the amount of reviews affect the way you write?

I don't think so anymore. Before, they really did. I felt that review amount was the only thing that determined how well my writing was. Now, I've gradually come to terms to the fact that I should write for what I like rather than what other people like. I'm learning to write for the sake of me wishing to create stories for what I'd like to happen in a fandom. Besides, reviews commenting about my content of the story really touch me the most. I like reviews like that. I'd rather have five, long reviews that talk about what goes on in the chapter rather than a thousand reviews just telling me to update.

Do reviews determine how well-written a story is?

Hell no. I personally do not think that. I think that there are a lot of authors/authoresses that are seriously overrated and some that are underrated. Knave of Spades by Berlin's Brown Eyes is an example of an underrated fan fic.

Do you like to use a beta reader? And/or do you like to beta read?

It really depends on what I'm writing. If I'm writing something in which I want people to read seriously, then I'll use a beta reader. If I'm writing something that's all nonense like Gardenia, then no. I won't use a beta. I truly enjoy beta reading if it's for a fan fic that's interesting and shows potential. I offer the best criticism for fan fics that are promising. Otherwise, I dislike beta reading because sometimes it's time consuming to point out every mistake. Unfortunately, I'm very picky when it comes to writing.

What's your favorite genre in fan fiction? If it's romance, what are your favorite pairings?

Romance. Totally romance. However, within a romance fan fic, I like action, adventure, and a little bit of everything. I think I enjoy all kinds of genre in fan fiction as long as there is love in the end. As people probably have noticed, my favorite coupling will always be Zelda and Link. There are more, but I'm too lazy to write it out.

Any quirks you do while reading and/or writing fan fiction?

When either reading or writing fan fiction, I listen to music, snack on something, attempt to sit up straight, and drink fluids. That's pretty normal, so there isn't anything really quirky about that.

Are the people around you aware that you write fan fiction? Do they support/read it?

My best friend is fully aware of my writing and so is Queenie 64. They don't mind me writing it. They do not care that much for what I write, so it's all good. My other friends are probably not aware. They wouldn't care either. My family members may know. If so, they don't care or they think I've stopped writing. A few upperclassmen also may be aware of it in my school, since they've been screaming my online alias down the hallways, but I don't give a damn about them. The fact that they bother to even look at my stuff to poke fun of me shows that they have no life to do what they like.

Has reading and/or writing fan fiction really changed your life?

Yes, I would say it has. Besides the growth of writing, the tastes developed when reading material, and understanding how the English world works, I've met a lot of interesting people. I sincerely enjoy talking to them regardless of how well they write. I'm always eager to get to know him/her as a person. I've also grown and developed as an individual.

Do you have any plans to step out of fan fiction and become a real writer?

The future is very undecided. Maybe. Writing is always fun; however, I do not know for sure if I could pursue a career in writing. Who knows?

Any last comments?

Recent Status:

I'm on hiatus. As Royal Kenya (RK) wished to quote myself (aka BKP) on this horrible break during a conversation: "I need something fun and light, and somehow get me in the mood to write."

... And that rhymed. Holy crap. I'm going insane with the summer over here.
