Update : 11.23.05
...I reread all parts of my story that I've written.. For some reason I feel oddly dissatisfied about it.. I am thinking about starting a new story... and forget about "The Beauty of the Snow"...
Hullo! I'm Nubilus - (It means cloud/rain in Latin, I think..) Anyway, happy for you to stop by.
I like to spend rainy afternoons at coffee shops with an armful of books of various subjects, and I have a strange fascination with prodding around at philosophy and psychology.
Here is a detailed summary for my story...
the Beauty of the Snow - In Progress
Solita Witren grew up as a lonely, motherless little girl with a beautiful, yet vain stepmother to look up upon, and a father who seems distant since his remarriage. When death finally fell upon him, the queen called for her two sons to come to the kingdom Nivalis. Although the Queen had tried to give the eldest of her sons the role as crown prince, the king had before insisted that his own heir, Solita, rule his kingdom.
His word cannot be taken back, and the king's word was law. As Solita grows into a young woman, suitors come from faraway lands to try and catch a glimpse of her legendary beauty, and perhaps, win her hand in marriage. At this point, Queen Napea was still persistent in her goal to try and let her son become the king. Her own jealousy of the girl's beauty was the fuel which she ran on. And the queen will stop at nothing, not even a set of little ‘accidents’.
