I post here my Vampire Knight fics. I've been obsessed by that series lately, and it shows. lol

My favorite VK characters are Kaname and Zero, but I like Yuuki and many others a lot too.
My favorite pairings are Zero x Kaname and any pairing with Kaname uke. (I prefer Zero seme and Kaname uke. :D)
My OT3 is Zero x Kaname x Yuuki. X3 (Zero and Yuuki leading and teaming up to sandwich Kaname as their uke is wonderful! XD)
Kaname uke is my complete addiction. XD lol

If you hate either Kaname or Zero, or any pairings with them and are prone to bash the characters, please don't do so here. D:
I prefer to focus on the enjoyment and fun and not on negative feelings. This site is peaceful and full of creativity and fun. Let's keep it peaceful and happy. :D

I love all three characters and enjoy reading many combinations of the trio. I find character bashing/character flaming one of the saddest things in fandom, and wish people would focus more on the love they have for a character and not the hate they have for another. :X

ABOUT FANFICTION AND FANFICTION WRITERS IN GENERAL: (A long overdue little note, because every so often fic authors get weird complaints...)
We fic authors do not write fanfiction for the sake of becoming paragons of canonical exactitude. Fanon/fanfiction is not canon. (Especially yaoi fanon/fanfiction!)
Nor do we aspire to impose our views of characters on others and/or try to convince them that our way to see the character "must be the only way" or whatever such thing.
We write fanfiction because we have fun doing it. Because we like the series or the characters and would like to see them in certain situations we imagine. Or because we have a story or an AU world or whatever going on in our imagination, and have fun telling it, to people who have fun reading it. (Work life is where you go about being 100% serious-business. Fandom is not. Fandom is for having fun and spending what free time you can get in an enjoyable way. :D)

Sometimes, there's people who have a very precise idea of how the characters is or "must" be (be it because they take the character overly seriously or because they hate the character and want to put it down, or for other reasons), and who will chastise fanfic writers for writing the characters differently.
For some, it's a case of "so-and-so must always top, don't write him uke!" in yaoi, and sometimes it's a more simple case of "so-and-so is the bad guy, don't write him as a good guy!", even if those are overly simplistic reductions that make no sense in the context of the canon itself, much less in the context of what a fic writer has the right to write or not in their free time.
(VK is an interesting story precisely because so many characters are full of shades of grey rather than being "goody-two-shoes" or "nasty-baddie" one-dimensional characters. So if you choose to view them in a simplified manicheist way and ignore all the rest of canon itself, it's your choice, but it's not something you should force upon other fans or writers. And even if you just go around complaining to fic writers because you view the characters as serious business and want to chastise people who write them uke or gay or whatever other thing that differs from canon, it's still not a fair thing.)

Canon is the place for canon things. Fanfiction is the place where we get to do to the characters whatever we want.
I'm not saying we should portray them as terribly OOC frequently; although if we choose to portray them this way in a fic, it's not the end of the world. And if they behave in a fic differently from how they behave in canon, but there's a reason for it that makes them IC within an AU or whatever situation like that, then so be it.
And lastly, if they behave in a fic the way they might in canon, but you disagree ferociously with it because you prefer to view them in a different way and ignore those elements even when they show up (discreetly or clearly) in the canon... then please don't chastise the fic authors for writing their own stories the way they want to. ^^;

I can really understand someone feeling like complaining if they see fanfiction that's written just to bash characters rather than to actually tell a story. But I find it rather pointless that people sometimes go about chastising authors for writing one character uke just because the majority expects him to be seme, or for having a normally serious character be more emotional in an AU fic where the situation warrants it, or because the author wanted to portray some kink and the person complaining didn't accept that with that character, etc. etc.
If it's not in any way bashing the character or its fans, then why chastise people for it...? It's better to simply live and let live. People are free to have fun and write their stories however they want. :)

I like to explore various ideas and situations stemming from possibilities based on details in canon (Ichiou x Kaname and/or Rido x Kaname non-con, anyone? XD), as well as unrelated possibilities and situations that came straight out of my strange brain and are completely unrelated to an exact canon details. lol
But in general, I find that it's more enjoyable when it has some ties with canon, since that way the characters are more true to themselves and fangirling them is more fun. :D (Not to be stuck with canon elements only, but to take whatever you find interesting in canon and play with it in fanfiction, whether your plot is based on something concrete or just on a random possibility coming from a detail in canon. :D)

About inspiration: I don't mind if you get inspired by my stories as long as you please put a credit line mentioning what inspired you. ^^/ Asking is best, but either way, at least mention who you inspired your fic from, please.
Also: I'm always desperately in search of Kaname-uke fics (people write almost only Kaname seme and Zero uke at all times, and while I respect the appeal of that pairing, I personally like Zero topping Kaname instead, so I find it a pity that the ZxK pairing is so rare ;_;), so if you're writing Kaname-uke I'll be so happy that I generally won't mind even if your plot is very similar to my fics, although if you inspire yourself from my fics I'd be happy if you please mention where you got the idea from. I don't bite or anything, don't be afraid to credit. ^^
It's very disheartening to see people getting obviously inspired by something someone else created, but not bothering to even give that tiny bit of recognition back by mentioning the author and fic. It makes the author feel like people sometimes consider their fics as a cheap buffet for ideas without caring enough to give it some respect by crediting where they got inspired from. ^^;

A word of warning about yaoi and dark fics etc.: Fanfiction-wise, I enjoy yaoi and some of my M stories have darker subjects such as hurt/comfort and others. This does NOT have anything to do with my vision of the canon VK.
For example, I don't actually think Kaname got raped by anyone in the canon, as far as we know, although it's interesting to explore the possibility in fanfiction.
My writing yaoi or darker fanfics on the side is of course completely independent and unrelated to the informational posts on the canon VK, which I make in my blog.

My fanfics are for a large part inspired by elements and possibilities taken from canon, but ultimately, canon and fanon are both wonderful but different things.
If reading fanfics influences your view of the canon in a negative way, then perhaps you should only go at it in small doses. However, if you can enjoy both canon and fanfics (as separate entities or mixed together), then yay~! :D

Reality and fiction are two completely different things, and something that would be horrible in reality (such as, for example, non-consensual sex) can be a harmless kink in fiction.
That's because fiction is not real, and has nothing to do with how horrible those things would be if applied to real people. This being said, if you are grossed out by dark themes in fiction, you should probably avoid the fics that have such warnings, since there's no point in making yourself read something that will be unpleasant for you. :X

Also, if you dislike yaoi, then please just skip the yaoi ones. Same with the darker themed ones. There's no point reading something you hate. :X
I always put warnings, so people can easily choose which of my fics to read or not to read, based on their own preferences.
