Hey...it's Simone. I'm rather addicted to Harry Potter...but I go to an insanely hard school and often can't keep up with fanfiction throughout the schoolyear. Except, of course, on weekends and breaks. I actually write quite a bit, but rarely upload anything to the site because I don't really find reason to. Not to mention, I usually hit a writer's block and become uninterested with what I'm writing. Realize this happens a couple times a week, hehe.Anyway...
Favorite Pairings I'm pretty open-minded...I'll read mostly anything that looks well-written
Harry/Ginny
Draco/Ginny
Andromeda/Ted
Draco/Hermione
James/Lily
Remus/Sirius...but just a little bit
Draco/Harry can anyone say...Cassie Claire?!
Sirius/Lily
Remus/Tonks (but who doesn't enjoy the occaisonal Remus/Tonks oneshot?)
I don't really dislike any pairings except Harry/Snape and Harry/Hermione. On the contrary to what a lot of people think, I think a ton of really good stories have been centered around "odd" ships. I've read a few EXTREMELY well-written Hermione/Fred or George fics, and I admit to reading a couple Ginny/Tom fics, too. Good stuff!!
With Ron and Hermione, I always consider fanfics centered on them really boring and predictable. I don't nessessarily dislike them as a couple but I much prefer JKR's portrayl of their relationship. Also, I love ships that actually have some conflict or something in the way of their perfection. I love Draco/Hermione for this reason: there are so many different stories to tell about how they end up together, which makes their relationship actually interesting, as opposed to Ron/Hermione, which is automatically "meant to be". Other than that, I really WILL read anything that looks good. And I almost always write long, ranting reviews on everything I read.
In the works 3/20/07: Infidelity started out as a one-shot, as I'm sure you've imagined from the drabble-y first chapter. Now it has four chapters, and I'm expecting to write four or five more, including a possible epilogue. The outline is very vague, however, and the plotline's being thrown around a lot (not to mention varying update times! Eeek!). I have an unbelievable amount of plotbunnies and outlines on my computer, which is broken! So, basically, I'm not sure how long it's going to be until my next update; my laptop's at the Apple story. Thank God it's not a hard drive problem. (I'd lose all of my WIP's, unpublished one-shots, ideas, my hundreds of plotbunnies... it's painful just to think about!)
Also, I'm going to be out of town from the 27th of March until the 5th of April. I'll try to write as much as possible in my notebook, but it's a sans-Internet vacation (no updates). Not that anyone cares.
