I am fulling planning to rewrite my PoT fic when I get the time. I can't even bear to look at it anymore. And I am so deleting that stupid Sonic fic that my friend and I fooled with in middle school. Really, we didn't know any better back then.

Rant section: Characterizing Naruto characters

This is a huge, HUGE pet peeve of mine. You see, I used to read a lot of Naruto fics and actually take the time to browse the section every day. Not anymore. There is so much utter trash in there that it's impossible to search through. It's like trying to find a cranberry in an ocean of cherries. Hell, some of the fics that are popular have utter trash in them!

So these are some of my peeves I have for many Naruto fics (sometimes, a particular fic's greatness will make up for these traits):

- Naruto the series is based on FRIENDSHIP and LOYALTY. When Naruto starts killing Konoha or any of his friends for revenge, I click Home. This is not Naruto. THIS IS A FREAKING BLOND SASUKE.

- Sasuke may be an arrogant bastard and a traitor, but redemption is still possible. If you aren't able to forgive him like Naruto will, then it seems like you haven't understood the meaning of this series. Sucks for you. And Sasuke is NOT EMO. Emo is when you pretend to suffer because it looks cool and garners sympathy. Emo is not when your brother slaughters your entire clan when you were eight and traumatizes you for life. Raise your hand if you've had the same thing happen to you. Good, cuz only then will you have the right to criticize him.

- Sakura is neither a stupid idiotic fangirl nor the savior of the world. Sorry, die-hard feminists and Sakura-bashers. Sakura's a cool girl and I admire her, but this series is called Naruto for a reason and she ain't going to go around carting the ten-tailed demon or something no matter how much I love her. And I'm not even going to mention the idiotic fangirl part. She's a 12-year-old girl! I'll bet she was five times the girl that most of us can boast of when we were that age!

- Ino and Karin are bitches, true, but there's no need to burn them for it. In fact, I think it's a refreshing change. Kunoichi aren't exactly meant to be seen as meek Japanese wives, no? So in my opinion, the more screeching and kicking, the better. At least for my Naruto girls.

- Lee and Gai are cool. Some not-so-familiar-with-Naruto people complain that they're stupid. THEY ARE THE EPITOME OF AWESOME, KONOYARO! And don't you forget it.

About me:

I am a rather well-rounded nerd. I have bad eyes and I'm short. I like to wear long shirts and sweatshirts and short shorts. I like my white canvas sneakers and fabric markers. I love my bishies (both genders, but primarily males).

I have mostly mastered the art of anime art, of Photoshop, of Painter, of tablets, and of Copic markers.

I type relatively fast and I surf the Web a lot. I have mastered the twin arts of DDR and Stepmania and now have muscular calves for all my troubles. The only non-nerdy thing is that I suck royally at any sort of video game besides DDR. Guess I just love to spaz (homage to Yugioh Abridged).

I am not in a relationship of any sort and have hardly even experienced the briefest crush, but I am well skilled in the art of relationships because of my extended exposure to shoujo manga.

I wish to cosplay but since my favorite characters are all male and tall, I cannot. And because my legs are short, those cute bishojo girls aren't such good choices either. Maybe I'll be stuck cosplaying Hitsugaya-taichou...

I like Star Wars and am a rabid Anakin Skywalker/ Darth Vader fan. I am also very defensive of my favorite shounen series including Naruto, Bleach, Fullmetal Alchemist, D. Gray-man, Eyeshield 21, Shaman King, Air Gear, and the like. Don't insult them in front of me. If you happen to do so, you will be punished with a three-hour-long lecture about the merits of each character's personalities and a thorough analysis of the series. I'd be happy to administer it to you. I am also extremely defensive of those shows that went out of fashion years ago: Yugioh and Digimon.

I am ASIAN, and thus I am terribly and irreversibly OBSESSED WITH SCHOOLWORK. Even though I like writing fanfiction, it is impossible for me to forsake my grades for a hobby. I am in my late high school years and cannot guarantee a spot in my selected college yet, so please understand.

I cannot stand slash or yaoi. Some may call me evil and intolerant and ultra-Christian, but I can't help myself. I can stand a character as gay, but as the central pairing? No. Just... no. Don't you dare go and confuse 'best friends' with 'potential lovers'!

Whiny chars and damsels in distress... I liek them. Yesh... (evil smile) They are great people to make a sacrificial offering with...

Art... flat on its face. I draw, yes, and I'm still steadily improving. But this school year has gotten out of hand, and once I get to college for biology or medicine or whatever I'm doing, I have no clue if this situation's going to get better or what.

Also, as readers of my fics, you must know this: I do not hate easily. Thus, there will not be any enormously serious character bashing. In fact, I highly disapprove of such a practice. It really is sad that most good SasuHina fics bash poor Sakura incessantly. Will people please stop the hate cycle? There do happen to be people I hate: Nena Trinity, Wang Liu Mei, Marina Ismail, Father Cornello, Shou Tucker, formerly Kururugi Suzaku (which I am beginning to get over)...
