Author has written 2 stories for Naruto.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE for your own sake, check out my favorite authors. You'll notice that there are only a small handful. That's because they are as gods among authors, not to be likened to us mere mortals. ...Okay, honestly, they're on there because every single one of their pieces is well-written, satisfying, and a general all-around quality product.

Notes On My Favorite Authors, Or, An Attempt To Promote Excellent Writing:

K Hanna Korossy : Extraordinarily prolific author in the Supernatural fandom. At least one tag for each episode, and several more stories besides; over 200 in toto and every one worth reading. All are oneshots, varying in length from under 1000 words to over 15,000. Wonderful action, mystery, angst, humor, hurt/comfort, plotting, character study, dialogue, setting, detail, and everything else. Check her out!

aflightoffancy / happycabbage75 : One author, two pen names -- aflightoffancy for Dark Angel fic, happycabbage75 for Supernatural. Medium sized pieces, most around 5-8 fair-sized chapters. Tight plots with action, hurt/comfort, and relationships. Dean and Sam brother-ness in Supernatural, and Max/Alec romance in Dark Angel.

elecktrum : Lovely Chronicles of Narnia pieces of varying length. Most focus on the Pevensies, particularly Peter and Edmund, during the Golden Age. A combination of action, adventure, humor, hurt/comfort, and angst, with an emphasis on love for family, Narnia, and Aslan. Particularly outstanding in details of a medieval-esque setting and Narnian customs.

Thunk : Five Inuyasha fics and one Trigun. Love stories with strong plotlines, good action, and great writing. Except for one Miroku/Sango oneshot, the pairings are pretty unconventional. Yet somehow, they work.

Who I Am: I am Christian, rather-smart-but-learning-disabled, female, collegiate, and clinically depressed. In approximately that order.

What I Like: Blue, brown, and green. Metal, classic rock, techno, college rock, and classical music. Big black muscle cars and cute little hybrids. Celtic knots, .22 revolvers with slender grips, martial arts, pit bull breeds, and ladybugs.

Current Fannish Obsession: Criminal Minds! The young FBI agent Doctor Spencer Reid in particular. :-D

When my mother found out that she and I were both watching the show, she said, "I know which character you like. The skinny genius kid." Apparently, Reid reminds her of me. I don't know whether to be flattered or insulted. Well, we are both skinny, socially awkward, interested in criminal psychology, and prone to busting out with statistics and factoids at inappropriate times. (And the whole high-IQ thing. Not that I'd say I'm a genius! Even if I agreed with such categorizations, the WAIS-III isn't too reliable once you start hitting the ceiling effect.)

Favorite Fandoms: Criminal Minds, Supernatural, Leverage, Psych, Burn Notice, White Collar, Dark Angel, Chronicles of Narnia. (But when I find an author I like, I usually read all of his/her fics so long as I'm at least mildly acquainted with the fandom.)

Things I Really Try Not To Read, Much Less Write: anything much more graphic than 'boy and girl kiss passionately, fade to black', slash/femslash/yaoi/yuri, stories with an OC who is everything the author wishes he/she could be, poor grammar or spelling, stories where the characters are transplanted for no particular reason into high school, and fan poetry. Sorry.

My Early Writings: The two stories I have up are from a stint in my first ever fandom, Naruto. I was introduced to Naruto, fandom in general, and fanfiction in specific by a gleefully rabid otaku in my first year Japanese class back in high school. (Thanks, Steven! Even though you were frequently annoying.) Since then, I have written fragments of more fics for Naruto, and a significant chunk of one for X-Men: Evolution. However, I am reluctant to post anything unfinished, and it looks like those will remain in writer's limbo, as I have since dropped out of both fandoms.

Updates:

17 Nov 09: Well, the project formerly known as "Generations" might yet see the light of day as "A World More Full of Weeping", a two-shot with potential for a universe. "Lazarus Falling" is facing a slow death by anxiety-induced writer's block and over-editing (not to mention Kripke'ing). I've got a 4x19 "Jump the Shark" angsty hurt/comfort missing scene that's just waiting for a final edit. I've mostly been working on original fiction of late.

21 Feb 09: I am currently working on two fics for Supernatural. One, tentatively titled "Generations", goes AU at the pilot, using info discovered during Season 4. The other, "Lazarus Falling" (pure originality there), branches off somewhere after "Heaven and Hell". I hope to finish and post at least one of these, but it's not looking particularly likely at this juncture. We'll see. I keep getting wonderful ideas, but I have serious trouble finishing anything other than oneshots. I'll just say I'm lazy and leave it at that.
