Author has written 12 stories for Outsiders, Harry Potter, Keeping the Moon, and Supernatural.

My name is Rachel. I am currently an eightteen year old, university student living in Ontario, Canada.

My greatest influences in writing are, hands down, JK Rowling and SE Hinton. JK's Harry Potter series is what got me interested in literature at an early age. I can safely say that, had it not been for her, I would not be as obsessed with writing and language as I am now. SE's The Outsiders showed me that not every story has a happy ending and that the words I say and write can have meaning and leave an impact. I hope that, someday, I will be able to influence at least one person in the ways that these amazing women have inluenced me. If I'm remembered by one person, I'll consider myself successful.

What I Would Like In A Review

Okay, first off, I don't understand the person who reads a story, doesn't like it, and leaves a flame. What's the point? If you have that much pent up rage that you're taking it out on the writers here, you need therapy ... serious therapy. If you don't like the story tell the author why, and then maybe they can do something about it. When I get a review, I like it to have meaning. You can critique me all you want, just don't be nasty about it. There's no need for that. If it's good advice and is delivered in a mature manner, odds are I'm going to take it to heart. Writing is something I am serious about. I'm not just on here for shits and giggles. If you find some kind of flaw in my writing, tell me. I don't like being wrong. I'd like to be able to fix it.

As far as my reviews go, if you want me to give you a good review, learn to spell. Learn when to use a comma and when to use a period. Learn when to start a new paragraph. When it comes to writing, it's all about the spelling and grammar first, the plot second. I can't tell you if you have a good story if it's not coherent. These are all simple skills, people. They can all be attained by reading. And if you're not reading, you really shouldn't be on this site. Pick up a book sometime, people! It's just that simple!

Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it's the only thing that ever has. - Margaret Mead
