"That's for you to decide," said the bog witch. "Let those write who can; and those who can't, they can write too. They need only come to me and I'll let them take anything they want from the cabinet filled with bottled poetry..."
~Hans Christian Andersen, "The Will-o-the-Wisps Are in Town"
Notes and Updates!
2/18/08: Chapter 17 of How Bad up. I'm really pleased with this one.
2/17/08: Chapter three of Hey, Venus! up. See, I do follow through once in a while. I had hoped to get this up before Valentine's Day, but oh well. Better late than never. Also, chapter 17 of One Summer is up! (This one came a bit sooner than I'd expected, so I imagine everything evens out.)
2/16/08: Well, it's been a long time, but I'm back. Got the fourth chapter of Boil and Bubble up, and did a little editing. I'm thinking that the updates to a few more stories (One Summer, How Bad, and Hey, Venus!) will probably be forthcoming some time in the next few weeks.
10/19/06: Whoo! Got the third chapter of Boil and Bubble up, and well before the Second Coming, too. I rock. Either Lost and Found or How Bad are slated for updates next. I think. I'm making these things up as I go along (as I'm sure my readers have noticed) so I'm never quite sure what I'm doing next or how long it will take. I do intend to go back and edit the longer fics after they've been completed. Also, I've been thinking of starting up a website and putting up my fics in comic form. I bet that'd be really cool. Once I find the time, of course. Blah, I am busy battling this evil force they call Life. It's the bad kind of life, you know. The kind that doesn't occur on the internet. :cries:
8/21/06: Been having some awful computer troubles for the last few weeks. I haven't been able to get too far on the stories because of it. Thankfully, I've jury rigged my computer, so it should be fairly-okay for awhile. Go me!
8/8/06: Put up chapter sixteen of One Summer. Finally. Right now, I'm working on chapter three of Boil and Bubble and the final chapter of Lost and Found. (The latter will probably take longer to be posted, as I still have to send it to my beta.) Also, I fixed some annoying typos on the post just below this.
7/10/06: I've decided to keep a log of updates/progress notes on my profile page. It'll be easier for me to remember what I need to work on this way. It might even stop me from being such a lazy procrastinator. Who know? Also, anybody who's interested in seeing updates on my stories can be kept informed. (Some folks seem to be enjoying my stuff, and I feel bad that I update so rarely--I personally hate waiting ages for updates on stories that I'm interested in.)
So baisically, today, I put up chapter six of How Bad. I'm hoping to finish up chapter sixteen of One Summer in the next few days. I haven't forgotten my other stories, but I think I may be putting In the Pink and Lost and Found on the backburner for a few weeks. I have to figure out where I'm going with their respective storylines. Plus, I'm working on this crazy epic Gravi fic as well, and it is taking over my soul. (I'm not going to post it until I have it completely written out, which is something I don't usually wait to do.)
One day, I feel sure that I will think of something interesting to write in a profile. Sadly, today is not that day, and the outlook's not so good for tomorrow.
That being said, I update pretty rarely, though my goal is to do it at least once a month. I mostly write humor. I'm open to sugestions, however, so ask if there's anything you'd like to see. If I feel it's within my ability/ I have the time, I'll probably do it.
The fandoms I'm familiar with are:
Sailor Moon
Inu-Yasha
Full Metal Alchemist
Magic Knights Rayearth
Cowboy Bebop
Demon Diary
Pet Shop of Horrors
Gravitation
Spirited Away
Invader Zim
Harry Potter
Pretty much any American cartoon aired in the last ten years or so. (And a few from earlier.)
I dunno, there are a bunch more, but I don't feel up to listing them all. If anyone cares, feel free to ask.
A few published authors that are amazing and deserve to have several small cults formed in their honor:
Stephen King
Terry Pratchett
Neil Gaiman
Donna Jo Napoli
Gregory Maguire
Jhonen Vasquez (Yeah. I said it.)
Polly Horvath
C.S. Lewis
Hans Christian Andersen
Diana Wynne Jones
Also, for those with an interest in the villains of Sailor Moon, please check out my forum. I'm trying to create a list of the best villain-centric stories and I'd appreciate any and all additions.
In closing: wheeeeee!
