Author has written 4 stories for Batman, DarkWing Duck, and Futurama. I guess it's finally time I update my profile, huh? It's only been, what, two years? Gee, time does fly when you've got nothing to do in the summer. Anyway, I guess you're supposed to talk about yourself in these or something (crazy, huh?), so I might as well as tell you a bit about me. My name's Lexi, I'm 17 years old (as of August 23, 2008 in case I don't update for another two years), and I live in the merry little state of Kansas where I'm halfway through my senior year in high school where I'm involved in the Drama department. To preemptively answer your question, yes, people ask me about Dorothy and Toto ALL the time. Wanna know the worst part? My high school actually did 'The Wizard of Oz' last year as our big musical, so now we've automatically associated ourselves with the one and only thing anyone seems to remember about Kansas. Personally, I think our best trait is having the Cosmosphere and Space Center. I actually live next to it and work as a tour guide there. Fun stuff, huh? Well, anyway, I guess I can get on to my interests since none of this actually applies to you. Let's see here...eh, first I guess I'll list a few of my favorite TV shows/fandoms/whatnot: Darkwing Duck I'm a pretty huge fan of the Joker from various Batman incarnations. In my personal opinion, I think Heath Ledger embodied exactly what the Joker is in 'The Dark Knight' and it's a shame that he won't be able to grace us with his presence again. He, without a doubt, stole the movie in it's two-and-a-half hour entirety. So gratz to him for that. I've actually seen it 8 different times in theatres, each time with a different person. ...It's not crazy, I tell you! On an unrelated note, I've got a deviantART page, if that interests any of you. Here it is: http://dangermousedavs.deviantart.com/ I'm actually somewhat of a seamstress. This year for Halloween, I created the Joker's costume for a friend of mine. I'm not even worrying about dressing up now. He has officially become my project. I usually help out a lot backstage without our high school theatre shows. I designed and made the costumes for last year's production of 'Little Shop of Horrors,' which by the way, has to be one of the most enjoyable musicals to both watch and perform, right up there with 'Avenue Q.' Just a little more kid-appropriate. Moving right along, some of my random favorite things in no particular order are waffles, cartoons, Monopoly, John C. McGinley, my cat, most electronics (including but not limited to my HP TouchSmart and my DVR), chemistry, my botany teacher, sidewalk chalk, The Sims 2, first-person shooters, movie quotes, the 1920s, Jaws from 'The Spy Who Loved Me,' the Magic Bullet (the appliance, not the myth), Oliver Stone, Starbucks Frappaccino, cat litter that smells like apples, flying on planes, Jim Carrey, Franz Ferdinand, Spaceballs, Alex DeLarge, hide-and-go-seek-in-the-dark, foam swords, MST3K, early Disney Channel original movies ('Under Wraps,' anyone?), getting feedback, dentists, sleeping, smoothies, the color purple (not the show, just the color), idiots getting what's coming to them, Lamborghinis, clean air, weird smells, furry animals, 'Lysistrata,' SuperSoakers, 12Sky, the German language, the smell of gasoline, grape soda, big dogs, being the drummer on Rock Band, macaroni and cheese, the Halloween series (excluding #3, because we ALL know that it doesn't belong), my glasses, eBay, this Batman trailer parody: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8sYBqhOEdRQ, kids that listen to their parents, trampolines, KFC, being cold in the summer, caramel, making snarky comments while watching movies, thunderstorms, The Fratellis, autumn, roast beef and provolone paninis w/mayo, toe socks, ice, Cillian Murphy, homemade infrared goggles, shepherd's pie, helping strangers, red velvet cake, the Pieces of Flair app on Facebook, fishing, freshly-mowed grass, snow days, and anyone who has the patience for all of that. Well, honestly, that's pretty much it. That's me. I know, I know, I'm kind of boring. How about I throw in some quotes to make things better? "I don't want to seem like I'm taking advantage of you, but there's no use in calling it something it's not." -Me "Alright, so I don't practice what I preach. I'm a parent, I can get away with it." -Darkwing Duck " 'I'm cold.' "Great with cheese!" -Me, regarding everything "Our superiors don't know crap. That's why they're our superiors." -Matt LeBlanc in 'All the Queen's Men' "Ooh, I found God! He's behind the milk." -Me "Clever of me to use my spine to break my fall like that." -Darkwing Duck "Q: What did the Socialist party say while playing hide and seek? "The next time you feel like doing something stupid, don't." -Unknown "What kind of creamery doesn't have milk?!" -Me "I'm a bisexual lesbian trapped in a man's body, but it's more complicated than that." -Eddie Izzard " 'They're Asian.' "To defeat one's enemy, one must know one's enemy! Muaha, muahaha, MUAHAHAHA- we should pick up some milk while we're here." -Dr. Drakken "Evil will always triumph because good is dumb." -Dark Helmet "(Insert sentence here), you fool!" -Me "It's uter-us, not uter-you." -Homer "You said these were Hitler Youth! These are big Nazis!" -Eddie Izzard in 'All the Queen's Men' 'Complain, complain, complain! Y'know, when life gives you lemons-' "I love Hutch on the 4th of July because it's basically a war zone, complete with shitty, malfunctioning street lamps and the distinct possibility that you will be shot." -Me, regarding my hometown Aaaand, finally, here's a survey I found somewhere on the Internet that I decided to just tack on here. If you enjoy random, snarky comments, then read on. Otherwise, erm, skip it. TELL ME ABOUT YOURSELF - The Survey Name: It's not who I am, but what my cable company is that defines me. Ever Shoplifted: I refuse to answer any further question of illegality on my behalf without my attorney present. How do you want to Die: Oh, surprise me. What do you want to be when you Grow Up: Someone with free healthcare. And there you have it. That's all about me. As far as the stuff that's NOT about me and instead what I have in the works for future submissions, I've got a Drakken-centric Kim Possible fic in the works. I've only just begun it, though, so it may be a while. Just as a little teaser, the story's gonna pretty much go deeper into that brief stint Drakken did spend in college and the more intense reasons he decided to drop out. I may or may not have the first chapter up within the next month or two. Gimme a break, though. I'm a slow writer that usually requires oodles of plot bunnies to even get something rolling! Luckily, the winter's giving me lots of time to pace around in 10 degree weather and think up some ideas, so this should churn itself out eventually. Also, I'm starting one of my first Darkwing Duck fanfictions in years, so that feels good. Not entirely sure if I'll submit it, though. We'll decide that when I finish the darn thing. Well, I hope you enjoy what I do have out there. Have a nice day! | |||||||||
