I am not perfect.
I try anyway.
Labyrinth:
Inimitability I – III:Series of non-consecutive humorous essays concerning Labyrinth fanfiction.
Old, out of date, oh well. One shots.
Family History: Fairytale-style
account of the Labyrinth’s (and Jareth’s) origins. Speculative. One-shot.
Complete.
Mere Words: A sequel to Amber3’s Say The Words
and When Words Aren't Enough
Alternate-ending fic, you really need to read hers first to get it. Jareth, Sarah, and lots of other characters besides. Eleven chapters
of experimenting with Jareth’s patience! Complete.
When Words Get In The
Way: Sequel to Mere Words in
which I actually collaborated with Amber3; unfortunately I got distracted by
something shiny. Every now and again,
though, Nobody climbs into my head and whispers plot bunnies, so there’s
a chance I’ll come back to this one sooner or later. Maybe
next time I watch my copy of the movie…JarethxSarah. Incomplete.
Gundam Wing
Love Always: Slightly
more than the recommended daily dose of sugar, but (hopefully) sans the nasty
saccharine aftertaste. 1xR. One shot. Complete.
The End: An
experimental story, supposed to be action-based. Didn’t like where it was
going, so I dropped it. I am, however, somewhat pleased with a few parts,
particularly the fight scene. So if I ever get back into Gundam Wing (it could
happen), this will be up for a total revamp. The pilots dealing with politics, plague, and percussion bombs.
Incomplete.
The Children: I can’t help it, for all it’s faults, I am somewhat proud of it.
Conventional pairings-fic that deals with the parenting abilities and
responsibilities of the pilots and their chosen mates. NOT a “next-gen pilots”
story wherein all the characters are the angsty teenage offspring of the
originals with cool hair and multicolored eyes…rather, a story about the original
pilots as they deal with a threat to their young children.
Naruto
Strength: Short rundown of the Sakura-Lee pairing and
how it might have happened. More introspective than narrative. One shot.
Unbreakable: Haruno
Sakura, her mother, her grandmother, and so on down the line. My first
story written in the first-person narrative style. Speculative look at Sakura’s
family. One shot.
Choices In the Dark: I have a hard time defining exactly what genre this story falls into,
so I’ll just tell you what it isn’t: it isn’t action, introspective, or fluff.
I guess you could call it an explanation. One shot.
For You: Experimental fic all the way through. A much
more in-depth look at the Sakura-Lee pairing and how it might actually work.
Some angst, some humor (YAY GAI-SENSEI!), some romance, and my very first
detailed hand-to-hand fight scene. Complete. And check out the pretty fanart by Daminitri.
A Moment: Another
experiment. I was trying to draw a picture with words, to show a story rather
than write one. One shot.
Without Doubt: Also
an experiment, although I tend to think of this one as a sort of failure. It
just didn’t turn out the way I wanted it to. People like to ask me if I was
referring to Ino or Temari. You tell me. One shot.
I, Kunoichi: My
first heavily researched story, centered on the kunoichi. I spent a lot of time
looking up the mythology and methodology of female ninja in feudal
Japan,
and played around with that information by applying different aspects of the
life of a kunoichi to different characters. Each chapter could be a one-shot,
but there is an overall plot going on in the background that loosely connects
each character. I actually really liked
where this one was going. And then something terrible happened….WRITER’S BLOCK.
It’s been on hold since then. Give me a little time: I WILL finish this story.
4 chapters so far, and at least 2 more in the works. Incomplete.
At the End of the
World: Shino doesn’t get enough love
in most fanfics. Hell, he doesn’t get enough love in this fanfic. It’s sad and tragic and yet another stylistic
experiment in point of view (non-character first person). One shot.
A Change In The Wind: This
story has the happy honor of being, out of all my stories, both the one I like
the best and the one I hate the most. An attempt at writing good fight scenes,
twisty conversations, betrayal, and something resembling a romance. Writing a
non-OOC Gaara while still allowing for years of maturity and experience was
hard. Complete.
Bleach
Release: A blatant excuse to write a violent Hinamori.
No, really. I pretend like it’s a story about my take on how Hinamori might
handle her trauma and how Hitsugaya might handle Hinamori. But it’s really just
about the fight scene. One shot.
Every Breath: I
wrote this story backwards. I wrote the last four lines first, and then the
three paragraphs before those four lines, and then I went and wrote the first
chapter. I’m not kidding. Oh well. I liked it anyway. One shot.
Obvious: I heart Matsumoto. I didn’t quite write this
backwards: instead, I started in the middle, got to the end, and then went back
and tacked on a beginning. Dirty, in a subtle way. Except for Renji…but it’sRenji. One shot.
Misc
Beautiful: Star
Wars. Introspective look at Darth Vader/Anakin’s thoughts after the loss of
Padme. Tragedy is subjective. One shot.
