Author has written 22 stories for Labyrinth, Naruto, Star Wars, and Bleach. Note: To all those who have written to express concern that I have seemingly vanished from the face of the earth right in the middle of my current story - I promise I haven't. I am just in an area of the world where I have very little internet access, and in a job that allows me very little time. I will continue Middle Ground as soon as I can. Thank you all for your kind reviews and critiques, and I hope to get things going again soon. (26May09) Current Project:Naruto: The Middle Ground: I saw this, by LevyRasputin on deviantart. I wrote a story. Here it is. I really just wanted the chance to write two very difficult characters. Getting into Shino's headspace is, in a word, hard. Getting into Tenten's head without turning her into a Character-Sue? Very hard. Hence, the challenge. And yes, I think she has a character. Hopefully my views on her personality will be very clear throughout the course of the story, but in the meantime, please refer to this page by Toboe LoneWolf, which gives a pretty good description of how I feel about Tenten's personality. EDIT: Is now actually a romance, because the only person I was really kidding was me. However, while I will admit it is a story with at least one romantic theme, it is neither a romance story, nor is it (yet) a love story. And yes, there is a big difference. Also, I've decided that the plot needed a little boost, so the next couple chapters will be storyline intensive (although I am going to try really hard not to make them convoluted or confusing). Finally, there will be hints/outright admission to other pairings in the Naruto fandom, largely because I think the gang is reaching that age where love/marriage tends to happen (particularly to young people in stressful, dangerous jobs). In progress. Bleach Every Breath: I wrote this story backwards. I wrote the last four lines first, and then the three paragraphs before those four lines, and then I went and wrote the first chapter. I’m not kidding. Oh well. I liked it anyway. One shot. Obvious: I heart Matsumoto. I didn’t quite write this backwards: instead, I started in the middle, got to the end, and then went back and tacked on a beginning. Dirty, in a subtle way. Except for Renji…but it’sRenji. One shot. Release: A blatant excuse to write a violent Hinamori. No, really. I pretend like it’s a story about my take on how Hinamori might handle her trauma and how Hitsugaya might handle Hinamori. But it’s really just about the fight scene. One shot. Labyrinth: Mere Words: A sequel to Amber3’s Say The Words and When Words Aren't Enough Alternate-ending fic, you really need to read hers first to get it. Jareth, Sarah, and lots of other characters besides. Eleven chapters of experimenting with Jareth’s patience! Complete. When Words Get In The Way: Sequel to Mere Words in which I actually collaborated with Amber3; unfortunately I got distracted by something shiny. Every now and again, though, Nobody climbs into my head and whispers plot bunnies, so there’s a chance I’ll come back to this one sooner or later. JarethxSarah. Incomplete. Naruto A Moment: Another experiment. I was trying to draw a picture with words, to show a story rather than write one. One shot. A Change In The Wind: A series of experiments for me. Some worked. Some didn't. Some really didn't. Another story I ought to just delete and be done with it, but can't seem to bring myself to hit the button. An attempt at writing good fight scenes, twisty conversations, betrayal, and something resembling a romance. Writing a non-OOC Gaara while still allowing for years of maturity and experience was hard (is also now AU). Complete. At the End of the World: Shino doesn’t get enough love in most fanfics. Hell, he doesn’t get enough love in this fanfic. It’s sad and tragic and yet another stylistic experiment in point of view (non-character first person). One shot. Choices In the Dark: I have a hard time defining exactly what genre this story falls into, so I’ll just tell you what it isn’t: it isn’t action, introspective, or fluff. I guess you could call it an explanation. One shot. For You: Experimental fic all the way through. A much more in-depth look at the Sakura-Lee pairing and how it might actually work. Some angst, some humor (YAY GAI-SENSEI!), some romance, and my very first detailed hand-to-hand fight scene. Complete. And check out the pretty fanart by Daminitri. For You II: A Little More: Just a couple little add-ons to an older story. No coherent plot, but a few fun Gai-sensei moments, and a Neji cameo. Two shot. I, Kunoichi: My first heavily researched story, centered on the kunoichi. I spent a lot of time looking up the mythology and methodology of female ninja in feudal Japan, and played around with that information by applying different aspects of the life of a kunoichi to different characters. Each chapter could be a one-shot, but there is an overall plot going on in the background that loosely connects each character. I actually really liked where this one was going. And then something terrible happened…WRITER’S BLOCK. It’s been on hold since then. Give me a little time: I WILL finish this story. 4 chapters so far, and at least 2 more in the works. Incomplete. Strength: Short rundown of the Sakura-Lee pairing and how it might have happened. More introspective than narrative. One shot. Unbreakable: Haruno Sakura, her mother, her grandmother, and so on down the line. My first story written in the first-person narrative style. Speculative look at Sakura’s family. One shot. Without Doubt: Also an experiment, although I tend to think of this one as a sort of failure. It just didn’t turn out the way I wanted it to. People like to ask me if I was referring to Ino or Temari. You tell me. One shot. Misc Beautiful: Star Wars. Introspective look at Darth Vader/Anakin’s thoughts after the loss of Padme. Tragedy is subjective. One shot. | |||||||
