Current obsession: Twilight fanfiction (if you know of any good stories then let me know!)

Hi, I'm tomboy14, also known as Aki! I first found fanfiction when I was around 11 years old thanks to a classmate who had posted a few Harry Potter fanfics on this site and had gotten a creepy review that she wanted to show me (it turned out to be her sister playing a joke on her). I thought it was cool to write fanfics so I got my own account eventually. Although I didn't post any of my first fanfics during my early years on this site, I was an active reader. I started to read Inuyasha and Rurouni Kenshin fanfiction (two of my favorite animes at the time) and, funny enough, stumbled across my first lemon when I was still in the phase of blushing at anything related to sex. I then learned the concept of "fic ratings." But then I went on hiatus from all fanfiction to focus on my school work only to come back during the summer that Naruto was a big hit. It was a few months of reading SasuSaku, then NaruHina, and eventually stumbling on ShikaIno that I posted my first fanfiction (which is still incomplete lol), "The Horrors of a Fan Club." I always had a knack for writing funny and having snarky remarks when I finally decided to open my mouth, so comedy was the genre I went for. ShikaIno was the first serious fandom that I actively shipped. Then came Avatar: The Last Airbender's Zutara shipping, with which my obsession was something I had never seen before. I became so much more active in the online community of it, especially on DeviantART. But then, finally, came the fandom that I had been the most obsessive about on levels I've never before reached. That would be...Twilight fanfiction. Specifically EdwardBella fanfiction, though I do enjoy a good Cullen family one, or any fanfic where Emmett is at his humor high point. Though I have written the most fanfiction for Naruto, with Avatar my second, Twilight fanfiction is what is sitting on my computer and floating in my mind.

I am also an aspiring author. I have started writing two different novels, one more of just an idea and a few passages handwritten on scraps of paper when creativity struck. The other is over 10,000 words typed, but many more words just sitting on scraps of paper in folders or scattered around my room. And none of this includes all the scenes that are floating around in my mind but have yet to be developed. This summer will be dedicated to working on my novels, specifically the one that is more developed at this moment.

Despite the fact that I love to write, it's not my profession. I'm a full-time student working towards eventually getting her Master's degree in Information Systems, specifically looking into Computer Programming. I've always had a knack for fixing technical problems or getting rid of viruses on computers, and the idea of programming is fascinating to me (nerdy, yes, but fascinating). Writing is a side hobby, along with drawing.
