Whoo, it's been a long time since I've updated this thing.
About me: I'm a college student living in the eastern US and an avid
fan of sci-fi. My favorite TV shows include Stargate Atlantis (my
current fanfiction addiction), Stargate SG-1 (I'm really, really happy
that they brought Vala back), Firefly/Serenity, and Dark Angel (the
first season, not so much the weird second one). I also
occasionally dip into StarTrek Enterprise, Star Wars, X-Men, Alias, ER,
and other realms. And I should probably mention I was raised
watching Monty Python, so I have a kinda weird sense of humor...
As
for books...well, I read constantly and eclectically, but when I'm not
reading academic stuff for school I tend to gravitate towards sci-fi
and history. Some of my many favorite authors/poets: Orson Scott
Card, Terry Pratchett, Diane Duane, Ernest Gaines, Steinbeck, Zadie
Smith, J. K. Rowling, Carl Sandburg, Octavia Butler, Tennyson, Yeats,
and T.S. Eliot (see, I told you it was eclectic).
In
addition to fanfiction and the occasional sci-fi story, I write
poetry. Lots of it. I've been writing poems since I was
probably 10 years old. You can find some of my older (i.e. worse)
poems on fictionpress.com. I also do spoken word poetry sometimes.
