my name's Shelby, though some of my friends call me Sage. i live in Wilmington, NC. i go to UNCW. basically i like writing and lots of other stuff im too lazy to list. another thing, music and fanfiction are practically my life! i love both to death and seriously cant go a day without at least one. i write because i want to, not because people expect something from or of me.

i am going to say right here and now that i am a slasher. i only make a few exceptions.

i started writing harry potter fanfiction back when i was in the sixth grade and ive sort of continued writing it. my OTP is Harry/Draco, as of now at least. although i do like others like, Harry/Ron, Sevy/Harry, Seamus/Harry, Sevy/Remy, Sevy/Remy/Siri, Draco/Ron, Harry/Blaise, Harry/Seamus, Harry/Draco/Ron(OT3), and Draco/Hermione. right now im into slash, mainly thats what i write. but occasionly ill write a het story. basically my favorite characters are Harry, Ron, Draco, Hermione, Sevy, Siri, Remy, Blaise and Seamus.

i recently got into The Covenant fanfics. my OTP with that one is Reid/Caleb. and anything to do with the boys really. for the record i dont really like Sarah, period, even in the movie.

i also read fanfics for Heroes now. as i got into the show kind of late, im still working on a few ideas. i enjoy reading all the Pylar(or Peter/Gabriel) the internet has to offer. and of course i gotta have some Sylinder! XD

and as a recently born Trekkie (Trekker? eh, watev) i can safely say that i have fallen in love with Kirk/Spock. K/S is my OTP, but i will allow Jim to sow his wild oats every once in a while, as longs as he keeps coming back to his sexy vulcan. i am also part of a recent movement to get the writers of the new movie to recognize LGBT in Star Trek. its a great effort and the people are so kind and supportive and crazy (in a good way XD). if you agree at all with K/S orjust LGBT rights in general then please go take a look. the URL is www.seetreklove.com XD Spork Power! and lately ive been developing a bit of a vulcan-hands-are-sensitive kink... and yeah...

!! Seetreklove.com This is an amazing site with a petition to send to the writers about subtly acknowledging an LGBT relationship in the Trek sequel. It also promotes tolerance in general. SEE = Social Equality Effort. Every signature on the petition counts!! The forums are great as well. New members are always welcome.

Current/Future Works In Progress:

Nirvana: Final Fantasy XII, Balthier/Vaan. A story of two sky pirates, two friends, and how they become much more. NOTE: Updates are going to be slow as I am still working out a few kinks and plot stuff.

Heroes Alphabet Soup: Heroes, Various pairings. Various stories, beginning with or based on each letter of the alphabet. Look out for titles like "A Is For..." "B Is For" "C Is For..." NOTE: These will not be kept in a multichaptered fic, more likely they will come out in random order and some letters won't get done.

When Marco Met Sean: Degrassi: The Next Generation, Marco/Sean. The getting-together story of Marco and Sean, and there is a plot: someone's jealous, and will go to any lengths to make sure they get what they want. NOTE: This story is currently on HIATUS. I don't anticipate starting it up again anytime soon as I have lost all inspiration for this story. If anyone is interested in continuing on in my place, please contact me.

Gray & Sons: HeroesXBlind Dating Crossover, Sylar(Gabriel)/Danny. The title isn't set it stone, but thats what I'm calling it for now. Starts with the premise of Danny with a broken watch and has to go get it fixed at Gray & Sons, where Gabriel works. Things... happen. That's about as far as I've gotten. Its still in the works and I plan for it to be multichaptered.

The Incident on Lykos IV: Star Trek 2009, Kirk/Spock, maybe some Sulu/Chekov. A routine diplomatic mission goes horribly awry. When Science Officer Kirk is kidnapped, what lengths will Captain Spock go to in order to rescue his First Officer—and unrequited love? You know, that whole shtick.

What Could Have Been: Heroes, Future!Gabriel/Peter. Angsty angsty angsty. Alternate version of "I Am Become Death". Sorry, no saving Noah; he's the catalyst for Gabriel going nuclear and I needed that. Like I said: angsty.

The Jailbait Chronicles: Star Trek 2009, Kirk/Chekov. A series of Kirk/Chekov stories. How they got together, trials and tribblations, Bones is such a good friend he deserves a medal for putting up with Jim all the time.

Riptide: Star Trek 2009, eventual Kirk/Spock. Spock surfs. Need I say more? Academy fic, complete with San Fran, Hawaiians, snowcones, and dirty mouths.

Why gay marriage should be legalized:

1) Being gay is not natural. Real Americans always reject unnatural things like eyeglasses, polyester, liposuction and air conditioning.

2) Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around tall people will make you tall.

3) Legalizing gay marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy behavior. People may even wish to marry their pets because a dog has legal standing and can sign a marriage contract.

4) Straight marriage has been around a long time and hasn't changed at all; women are still property, blacks still can't marry whites, and divorce is still illegal.

5) Straight marriage will be less meaningful if gay marriage were allowed; the sanctity of Brittany Spears' 55-hour just-for-fun marriage would be destroyed.

6) Straight marriages are valid because they produce children. Gay couples, infertile couples, and old people shouldn't be allowed to marry because our orphanages aren't full yet, and the world needs more children.

7) Obviously gay parents will raise gay children, since straight parents only raise straight children.

8) Gay marriage is not supported by religion. In a theocracy like ours, the values of one religion are imposed on the entire country. That's why we have only one religion in America.

9) Children can never succeed without a male and a female role model at home. That's why we as a society expressly forbid single parents to raise children.

10) Gay marriage will change the foundation of society; we could never adapt to new social norms. Just like we haven't adapted to cars, the service-sector economy, or longer life spans...
