Author has written 44 stories for Legend of Zelda, Inuyasha, Crescent Moon, Final Fantasy VII, Kingdom Hearts, Transformers, and Transformers/Beast Wars. Name- Maxem Location- Southern California Current Obsession- Transformers!! If I have a particular style, I don't know what it is! I enjoy experimenting with different styles of writing. For instance, while Ocarina of Time is a narration based on the video game, Singularity delves more into character development. In Singularity you know exactly what is happening, while in City of Angels you need to fill in the gaps yourself. Depths of Oblivion is a solid chronological storyline which introduces each character in detail; Light Worth Protecting is written in out-of-order vignettes in which the image of the character is gradually drawn. The ICARUS Project sees into the minds and actions of each character in my usual third-person, but Void and Rise allow me to delve deeply into one character in particular with their first-person narration, a rarity for me. City of Angels contains several interlinked sub-plots, while Wings is straightforward. Various themes come and go, though I don't usually think of my stories as carrying deeply important themes-- Ocarina of Time, Void, and the like were written for fun, while Rise carries a multitude of (completely unintentional) themes pervading the story: coming-of-age, the old against the new, the grey in between good and evil, nature vs. nurture, all that jazz. As for me personally, I loooove to chatter about my stories. As you can see, I use poll votes in my calculations, so shoo! Go vote! More interesting... or not... trivia: (6.29.09) Not counting oneshots, Rise has the most average words per chapter at 4126.1 words. Counting oneshots, however, Wings leaves them all behind with a whopping 6458 words in one chapter! Continuing on this vein, On The Courtship of Seekers has the most average reviews per chapter with 41; however, since it's only got one chapter it really doesn't count! Not counting that, then, Rise at... drumroll please... average 18.4 reviews per chapter!! My most faved story is Wings, with 92 faves. Rise has the most alerts by far at 91. The story with the most hits is Rise at 15,290 as of right now. The story added to the most C2s is Wings (9). My longest story is Rise with 70,144 words. You guys in the Transformers fandom are so nice... and speedy, too! Wow! Thank you so much! WOOOOOOAH. I've never had a story with as many reviews as Rise and never one that broke 200... make that 300-- f-f-400?! Thanks, guys! The Rise LJ Community, where all of the AUs are posted- If you watch me or frequent r_r, you've probably noticed that things have slowed down lately. I warned that it may be a while before Rise would be updated in the last A/N, but I may have underestimated my time constraints. I've got a lot to do these days... I'm taking four advanced classes this year, including French and Calculus (which has PILES of homework), and I have to apply to colleges as well!
