I used to write stories for Stargate: SG1. I hadn't done any
writing for a long while. Then Atlantis came along and I got
hooked all over again. Now my latest love is Bones - there was
Buffy and Angel in the meantime, but I never got around to writing for
those - yet.
I love getting
reviews - the ones I really like are those that give me an idea what
bits of my writing work and what bits don't, and how my writing can be
improved.
My favourite author is Orson Scott Card, and one of my all-time favourite books is his book Ender's Game.
I'm
supposed to be studying French at the moment, so the more frequently I
update stories, the closer my next assignment is! I like writing
regularly, doing at least some each day. I keep a daily journal as well.
I tend to get rather
caught up in my writing. I like it best when I'm trying to
persuade the characters to do something and they won't cooperate,
because that tells me I'm writing true to their characters. There
are also times when they insist on doing things their way and not mine.
When I learn to listen to them and write what I'm told to write instead
of what I fancy writing, that's when the words flow much more easily.
I love doing nanowrimo
every year that I can manage it. The challenge of always fighting
the word count really helps the creativity. Now I just need to
put the finishing touches (okay, and the proper plotting, proper
writing and the main draft!) to my first novel.
