Update: Holy Crap, Penelo's got a diary and it's actually getting updated. And I swear, I'm not bashing Vaan. Subtext, people. There's a reason she talks about him all the time and goes on an on about every ridiculous thing he does. :D (Hint: I'm a Vaan/Penelo shipper. Oops, I gave it away.) Besides, it's a crack story. I can't very well have Basch do such insane things, now can I? (Although I have every single intention of including Penelo and Vaan eavesdropping on Basch singing in the shower. Watch for it!) (Oh, and after several wholly uninspired attempts, the chapter titles of Penelo's diary are now named for hunts. Because I am lame.) There was so much here, but it looked terribly cluttered. It hurt to look at. Don't be afraid to friend me on LJ. I promise, I'm not nearly as morose as I'm sure I come off as in my fic. After all, I did get stamped as Selphie. Yes, Selphie. You may discover more about me, be privy to the occasional fic that doesn't make the leap to this site, or even - occasionally - the in-depth discussion of "holy hell where am I going to take this fic" in which you are always free to participate and throw ideas at me. I have a lot of odd tangents that fics sometimes end up edging toward (ask me about the Gippal Takes Over The World fanfic that I would so write if it wasn't hideously out-of-character!) At any rate, I do like meeting new people. I don't bite unless you really ask for it. Hey Touch of Gray, what's your favorite Final Fantasy? In spite of what my fic ratio tells you, VIII. And my favorite character is Rinoa, followed closely by Seifer. After VIII, we have XII. Yeah. I know. It's so different. That's what I like about it. My favorite Final Fantasy is the freaking anomaly of the series. I don't think "different" was ever enough to turn me off. After XII, we have VI. I loved Terra and I adore Locke. Yes, I ship them. Yes, I know it isn't canon. No, I don't care. If you have any recs, by God, pass them my way. Then there's a big gap, and then X and VII, which are on the same level for two entirely different reasons. I love X's plot and characters, I care nothing for VII's plot and characters. I loathe X's gameplay and adore VII's. They're even in my eyes. After those, it's anybody's game. Where'd you come up with a name like "Touch of Gray," anyhow? Sorry that you feel that way/Only thing there is to say/Every silver lining's got a/Touch of grey. I will get by/I will get by/I will get by/I will survive. You young whippersnappers have no idea what you're missing! I'll have you know, it was a very popular song... In 1987. And yes, it's actually "Touch of Grey," but that was taken. If you love VIII so much, why don't you write more fic for it? Because I love it so much. I love that the entire story was told within it (with some exceptions, like WHAT DOES SEIFER DO NOW THAT EVERYONE THINKS HE SO EVIL?) and I don't think it needs anything more. Besides, I get my FFVIII fix by replaying it. I am just that geeky. Wait, a Gippal Takes Over The World fanfic? Is this another one of your crack stories? Frighteningly enough, no. Think about that and sleep tonight. Yeah, there's a reason I'm not writing it. What are you like in real life? Well, right now, it's 5:30 AM and I'm not entirely certain I have a functioning brain. I'm usually a strange mash-up of Rinoa and Selphie. I'm hyperactive and energetic, but I can be very morose and existential at times. It's strange.
