Author has written 11 stories for Phantom of the Opera, and Marvel. UPDATED August 11, 2009. Hello everyone! I am Jacqlyn. I am 44 years old and love to write my stories. Hope you enjoy them! Here are a few things about me that some may want to know and others may want to toss...your choice! WORKS IN PROGRESS - Unbreak My Heart - A modern-day story which will feature Erik/Christine. I am currently working on this story. In thought only...but will start soon... Dragon of Darkhaven - Set in 1800's Scotland, Erik/Christine, Romance/Drama My loves are: My God; the Three in One - the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; my family - husband George (also 44), three sons; Kyle (24), Shawn (22), and Matthew (20); daughter-in-law Pam (married to Shawn), daughter-in-law to be, Danielle (will marry Kyle); my two grandchildren, Trinity Beth and Seth Mitchell, my mom and dad (deceased), my brother and his family, my husband's family, and my country. My husband is an ordained minister, but is not currently pastoring a church; he is the project manager at a major contracting company in Raleigh. We have just bought and had built our first (and hopefully last) new home. I wish you could all come over and we could talk fanfiction, Gerry, or anything else that comes up! That would just be awesome! My oldest son works with my husband as an in-house contractor, he is engaged to be married in June to a sweet girl. He is also adept at computer issues and has several certifications. My middle son also works as a contractor with my husband, he is married and he and his wife have my only grandchildren - Trinity Beth on November 18, 2007 and Seth Mitchell was born on January 25, 2009. What a joy they both are!! My youngest son is in the Navy, currently serving aboard the U.S.S George H. W. Bush in Norfolk, Virginia. I am so very proud of him. I have been an Air Force daughter, an Army wife, and now, Navy mom. Always pray for the men and women in our armed forces - all give some, but some gave all. I enjoy writing, it relaxes me and allows me to escape the real world. I do put myself into my characters...can't help it. I also enjoy reading and reviewing. I seldom criticize other people's writing styles or content, because what they write represents who they are in some form or another. I personally don't care for foul language and don't write it, but I am not going to tell someone else that they need to stop writing it into their story to please me. I don't write nor care for premarital sex scenes, but who am I to tell someone else they shouldn't write them. My hobbies: Reading POTO phanfics, writing POTO phanfics, visiting and posting on GB.net (gerardbutler.net) where I am simply known as Jacqlyn, playing the piano, singing, designing media for my church on the computer; watching movies with my sons; watching Carolina Panthers football with my hubby (GO PANTHERS! Even when they are struggling!) How about them HURRICANES! WOOT! WOOT! Below is the URL to a youtube video that iluvmyphantom found - this is my vision of Lavanya in "DARK SIDE OF THE GLASS". http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NO mhIDnFvY Also for "DARK SIDE OF THE GLASS", here is a fanart drawing of Erik and Lavanya also done by iluvmyphantom: http://img440.imageshack.us/my.php?image=elf2xm7.jpg Below is a picture of a photoshop take I did on Erik in "Dark Side of the Glass". Below is the URL for a picture that iluvmyphantom drew for my story "ALL I KNOW OF LOVE". She has done a wonderful job, and with her permission, I posted it here. http://img215.imageshack.us/my.php?image=erikportraitfk3.png iluvmyphantom's image of Erik in "Show Me the Way to Love" http://img166.imageshack.us/img166/323/erikwjpg001kq5.jpg This is a link to her version of Miss Darcy (Christine) from "Show Me the Way to Love". http://anip./art/missdarcy96966881http://anip./art/captainerik96864406 About my writings: Mlle.Fox has graciously agreed to be my Beta...I cannot thank her enough for her friendship and wonderfully quirky sense of humor. She makes me laugh and smile. My Erik will be Gerik - enough said there. (Love ya, Gerry!) I was against Christine/Erik pairings, for the longest time, I felt that Christine was just not good enough for him, but I have since altered that thought process, and have written several stories with Christine (as I feel she should be) as Erik's love interest. She will never be a child in my stories. Erik is a grown man whose interest is not perverted; therefore, my Christine will always be a woman in her twenties. I also write Erik/OW stories, just to change things up a bit. I am debating on the Erik/Meg pairing...that may be coming in the near future. I have written both historical stories (19th century) and modern day. I like the modern day because I am familiar with it, but learning about the 19th century is very interesting - I have not done any other genres, but that doesn't mean I won't. A non-murderous Erik, I don't like the idea of Erik being a murderer, my Erik's will always be innocent of that crime...he will have killed in self-defense, or because he had no choice...BIG DIFFERENCE! NO WIG NECESSARY - my Erik will always have a head full of wonderfully wavy, brown to ebony hair; varied lengths. Tragedy caused deformities - My Erik will always have suffered some tragic event that causes the scars on the right side of his face...he will have been born perfect, or the deformity may have been caused by some act of his mother while he was in her womb. This allows for his offspring to be perfect. Love scenes - I do write explicit love scenes; for making love is a very passionate and explicit act. However, I do not condone premarital sex; therefore, before my Erik and his lady love engage in the bliss of making love, they will be properly wed. My belief on the act of sexual intercourse - God designed it to be enjoyed by married couples. This is laid out in His word; therefore, I hold to that. It's main purpose is for procreation; however, He does tell us "Do not deprive one another except with consent for a time, that you may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again so that Satan does not tempt you because of your lack of self-control." 1 Cor. 7:5 MY LIKES - FROM MOST LIKED TO LEAST LIKED: Actors - Gerry Butler (a great actor and an even better person - and GORGEOUS!), David Boreanaz, Johnny Depp, Adrian Paul, Colin Firth, Gary Oldman, Christian Bale, Clive Owen, Antonio Banderas, Hugh Jackman, Liam Neisen, Dermot Mulroney... Actresses - Kate Beckinsale, Keira Knightley, Sandra Bullock, Dame Judy Dench, Julie Andrews, Minnie Driver Singers/groups - David Cook, Leona Lewis, Josh Groban; Phillips, Craig & Dean; Mark Schultz, Michael W. Smith, Avalon, Evanescence Movies - 300, Phantom of the Opera (Anything with GERRY BUTLER in it!), Pirates of the Caribbean (1 , 2, & 3), Underworld (1 & 2), X-Men (all of them), Star Trek (any and all), romantic comedies, James Bond Movies, Batman Begins, Classic comedies with Jerry Lewis, Danny Kaye, and Abbott and Costello. T.V. - American Idol, Castle, and the NFL (yes, you read it correctly, the National Football League) Books - I love to read and my favorite genre is Paranormal Romance. My favorite authors include, but are not limited to, the following: Sherrilyn Kenyon, Christine Feehan (The Dark Series), Jacqueline Franks (Jacob, Gideon, Elijah, Damien, and Noah), Kresley Cole, Gina Showalter, Kerrelyn Sparks, Kathryn Smith, and many more. My dislikes:Cauliflower, brussel sprouts, sardines, anchovies, liver, chitterlings (YUCK), grits and others that I will not mention; movies that only have blood and gore and no plot; actors with attitudes and god complexes - Russell Crowe, Alec Baldwin, Tom Cruise, George Clooney, etc. or those who think they are "all that and a bag of chips" - I am sure there are more dislikes that I have, but that will do for now. I am sure there are those who will disagree with some of the things I have said...but remember...it is MY PROFILE! Thanks for getting to know me my lovelies! Jackie | |||||||||||
