Eh, let's just say I'm a human being who calls herself Charlie and likes the arts :).

Here's some pics for my fic ;P.

Quotes from me and my friends:

Sometimes, in large crowds, I feel like a tomato in a fruit basket. I technically belong, but it just doesn't seem right. A friend of mine

Many people don't believe 'The quill (or pen) is mightier than the sword,' but I'd rather have ink on my hands than blood anyway Me

When I don't do as well as I'd hoped, yet don't do as bad as I'd feared, I can at least be content. - Me

Well, a broken clock is accurate more often than a clock that's one minute slow. At least two times a day. My friend (I don't know if that was my friend or a real quote, but there is a real quote that says: "A broken clock is right at least twice a day".)

Why should AIDS be called AIDS if it AILS you? Instead of Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrom, why not call it Acquired Immune Lacking Syndrom? - Me

If you're going to be truthful, then say what you mean and mean what you say. But you don't have to be mean in what you say or how you say it. (Lewis Carroll came up with the 'say what you mean, mean what you say' bit and I just added the rest ;P.)

There is no way to prolong life, only hold off death. (I'm actually not sure which one of us said that :P)

It's okay, I'm gonna take it like a woman...Gimme that, Bitch! Me (after looking at a friends drink that I wanted, lol).

Interesting:

Q: What do you give the man who has everything?

A: Nothing. It's the only thing he doesn't have.

You are in a room with only one other person. Both of you are looking at a photo. You clearly see a red brick, but the other swears they see a green umbrella. How can you tell which one of you is right?

Could 'fear' be called your body's way of being pessimistic? It is kinda indicating your expecting something bad.

Funny actual 'discussions':

My friend (looking at my toy baby doll): Your baby is Chinese!

Me: Well then, you're definitely not the father.

My friend: Not necessarily. It was just Made in China!

OoOo

Me: "You always contradict everything I say!"

My brother: "No I don't!"

OoOo

Me: "You don't even know the words to a little kid's song!"

My sister: "I do too! I know the words to 'I'm a Little Tea Cup!'"

OoOo

Me: "I have some leftover sushi that I'd thought I'd feed my cat later."

My friend: "You're going to feed your cat raw fish?!"

Me: "...Think very hard about what you just said."

OoOo

Mother: I was a kid once.

Me: (snorts off to the side) Yeah, and she means once!

OoOo

(Ooooo, they're gonna kill me for posting these :P! So here's a couple dumb stuff I said):

Me (looking at the writing on my sister's bracelet): 'Maui'? I thought you got this from Hawaii?"

OoOo

Me: "It's about 8:00."

My friends: "Our watches say it's 7:57."

Me: "Oh, well, then I guess I'm a little slow."

My friends:"...You mean you're a little fast."

Lol.

And there are these:

Person 1: My parents totally fucked up my life.

Person 2: ...(lecherous grin) duuuh.

Person 1: ...okay, I SO did not need that picture.

OoOo

Person 1: Don't you dare use his name intravenously!

Person 2: ...huh?

A rant about OCs, the attempted non-bitch version:

(And I'm giving you fair warning, so please do not say stuff along the lines of "I totally disagree with you, you are so wrong you BITCH!!" This one is just an opinion and features a suggestion for writers whose stories feature an OC. There is one more further down that is much meaner, so if your feelings are easily hurt, DO NOT read that one, but this one. And if you are offended, I apologize but this after all how I feel):

I gotta say, I'm really amazed at the enormous amount of "romantic interest/obsessions" female OCs that keeping popping in fanfictions now ever since the Dark Knight came out. I'm NOT saying that these such stories are crap (some of them are actually quite enjoyable), I am merely saying that there are so many of them that it is hard to take a lot of them seriously. There are some that should just stay in the girls' diaries rather than being posted over the internet (I'm talking mainly about Mary-Sue and self-insertion writers).

Plus more often than not, these new OCs are the central characters in the fictions. Really, in my opinion, when any OC becomes the central character, the story is no longer a fanfiction, merely an original story that is simply using another story's characters. I don't like reading fics that are based on a new character, I like fanfictions because they are about characters I already love and am familiar with.

Hey, here's something interesting, go to one of the categories and see what stories have a good number of chapters. Now see how many of them are about a female OC, especially as a love interest.

Really people? I'll tell you what, choose an actor to fill that role (like if it was made into a movie who would you get to play her) and I might be more inclined to read rather than simply assume that this is self-insertion. I know, I know, you might say that it isn't, that the girl looks or acts nothing like you, but I'm really more inclined to think that this new girl is a manifestation of yourself, or who you would like to be. Do that with original stories all you want, but to me fanfiction is meant to be about characters from the book/cartoon/movie ect. categories, not some newcomer. I understand sometimes new love interests are needed, but I do not want to hear HER (or HIS) story.

And I admit I sound hypocritical, I have written at least one fic (a one-shot) that was based on an OC; but none of the characters fell in love with her and she was only important because the story was about the characters from her point of view.

If your story features such an OC (I mean absolutely NO offense) and you truly wish to make your story seem like an actual character rather than a "personal love-fantasy," there is are very good essays that are featured on Wikipedia and a very good test called "The Universal Mary-Sue Litmus Test" online. It rates your OC and makes some suggestions about how you can make your character not seem like a Mary-Sue.

But don't let me judge you; writers love their OCs dearly I know, so I hope you are not offended. Perhaps your OC is not a Mary-Sue or self-insertion at all, but remember: cynical people like me don't realize that; it is up to the writer to make the reader understand throughout the fic that the OC is someone you want people to enjoy.

However, if you ARE just a person who wants to write yourself into a fic as the new star, by all means go for it and have fun! Just don't expect me to take it seriously :P.

Another rant (before "the bitch version"):

I love fanfictions but there are some general things that bother me-

It's disgusting that the stories that have the most chapters and are updated the most frequently are stories that feature an OC Mary-Sue you don't like. Of course no 'author' would give up on that, look at the adventure she's put herself in (when that's the case). Yes, they bother me this much.

It's a shame that some awesome stories are written badly and crappy stories written well. Although it seems like it's the crappy, badly written stories that are updated more often, I guess because those are easier to write.

It's annoying when you read a fantastic story that doesn't feature your favorite character and when you find one that does it's not finished and rarely if ever updated.

It's painful when a section you like has an intense lack of stories and some sections you would like are nonexistent. Usually the lacking sections feature stories that are badly written, bad, or rarely if ever updated.

It's sad when you run out of stories in the section you like.

It's uncomfortable when you know for your readers' sake you should update, but you can't find inspiration.

It's frustrating when you feel like you want to write but can't bring yourself to, and when you feel you could bring yourself to there is not a computer or paper and writing utensil available at the moment.

(I'm not saying all this happens all the time, just sometimes.)

A rant about OCs, the bitch version. OC writers (and some reviewers), read this rant ONLY if your feelings are not easily hurt:

SCREW being polite on this one, there will be no sugarcoating.

I'm gonna be brutally honest: People (coughfangirlscough), some for you have stories that just plain SUCK. Honestly, I HATE it when you put in new female characters (YOURSELVES) to be love interests to your favorite guy obsessions! Or obsessions of your obsessions. And in my opinion, if the girl is the long lost sister/daughter/lover of one character (who hasn't been revealed to have one) and she becomes the lover or obsession of someone (or three) else, then it is VERY likely SHE IS A MARY-SUE!!

And as for the people that review these stories with positive comments, they ARE NOT writing about you, but about themselves! So get real!

Girls, just go ahead and put your own name in the story instead of making up some...oh "Star Heaven Crystal Queen Goddess's-Gift-To-Men" name, cause I do not wanna hear about your alter ego getting cuddled or laid by the man of your dreams. That is where they should stay: in your dreams.

I can respect people's fantasies, but I don't wanna read about you indulging in them anymore than you would wanna hear about mine. Really, they should make either a Fanfantasies.net or a separate section on here reserved for OC fantasies.

And I don't care HOW un-Mary-Sue you think your character is, TAKE THE LITMUS TEST!! And btw, one last thing. I'm noticing more and more that most of these new OCs (Mary Sues) are redheads or have auburn hair (WHY must you insult actual redheads and auburn haired people this way?!), so if your character does, yeah definitely take the test.

Or look at this, it uses Star Trek as the main example: http://geocities.com/cc_ssd/mary.html
