In view of the above painful problem, I have also decided to take up beta reading in favor of starting stories from scratch. My grammar, spelling and punctuation are usually excellent. Plot and characterization, however, must be limited to:

1. Harry Potter
2. Lord of the Rings
3. Smallville
4. X-Men
5. Buffy the Vampire Slayer
6. Card Captor Sakura
7. Animorphs (from long ago, before the books started getting tired)

I don't mind slash; on the contrary, I'm quite partial to it, especially after reading a particular Harry/Draco slashfic that completely changed my mind about the issue. (http://rhysenn.morethanart.org/IP) Don't make any hasty conclusions before you've actually covered the first few chapters.

Besides that, I'm a staunch 'shipper of Ron/Hermione (which partly explains why I like Harry/Draco--Ginny hasn't been a significant enough character for me to want to pair Harry with her), so absolutely no Harry/Hermione please.
