Ok, time for an update.
Name, still going by Melissa, or Mel (hence the m47e47l), but I am now 21 years old. It sounds really old and mature doesn't it?...too bad I don't act that way :)
Anyway, I live in Australia, about an hour out of Melbourne, and am currently at university, majoring in English Lit. and minoring in Drama and Theatre Studies, studying to be a English and Drama secondary school teacher. I hear it all the time that I must be crazy to want to teach high school, but I look at my mother, who is a prep teacher and I think that she is the one who is insane. :D
From my fics, you can probably tell that I am an insanely obsessive Alias fan. In my opinon it is the greatest television show- ever. Incredible acting, awesome writing, ingenius storylines. What more could you ask for...well, how about the brilliance of Victor Garber, the looks of Michael Vartan...I could list all day. I am totally shattered that there will be no more seasons, however I have my DVD's and fanfics to keep me going.
Some of my other favourite things are:
TV Shows: Lost, Heroes, The Glass House (any Aussie readers here will know what I'm talking about. One of the funniest shows on television, which has now been callously cancelled. What are the ABC thinking?), Boston Legal, Grey's Anatomy, Scrubs, Thank God You're Here (that's another one for the Aussies), Brothers and Sisters, What About Brian and The Simpson's.
Movies: There are seriously too many to mention. I love them all- from Dirty Dancing to The Terminator. One of my fav pastimes is to settle down with my best friends for a good old-fashioned movie night.
Books: Again there is so many, but I'll mention a select few, such as Wuthering Heights, anything by John Marsden etc. Also, being a Drama student I actually enjoy reading Shakespeare (I know, I know...crazy :D)
Music: I have a really eclectic taste, from The Whitlams to AC/DC to The Rolling Stones to The Clash to Ben Folds to Diamond Nights to...I could go on forever. For those Aussies reading, my radio station is Triple J.
Some other general things. I think that basketball is the greatest sport on earth (might have to do with the fact that I practically grew up in a basketball stadium), my favourite colours are orange and green (though not together :S) and my mum makes the best roast on the planet (I know, I know. Totally biased, but she's my mum).
