I'm planning on setting up several 'universes' where stories often fit and link up with another but not others. Although the sections are currently blank, (as of 11/10/09) they're going to be gradually filled up. So, time to get the ball rolling!

After escaping from Drakken's latest plot, a brooding Kimberly Ann Possible plans for the future. A future involving both her and her 'best friend'...

Some ideas I'm throwing around at the moment are a rewrite of the Kim Possible series with a more mature Ron pre 'Exchange,' Werewolf orientated Kim Possible stories, Vampire Kim Possible orientated stories and a Star Wars/Kim Possible crossover with Kim and Ron as Jedi Knights. A rewrite of Emotion Sickness with Ron and Drakken as the Moodulated victims. A 'So The Drama' with Ron being hit on instead of Kim. An A/U story where Kim, now a Global Justice agent with her boyfriend Erik 4 years into the future post Graduation, is once again partnered with a now mysterious, ruthless and merciless Ronald Stoppable whom has been forcibly assigned by Sensei to be the liason between Yamanouchi and Global Justice.

Three things any writer or author should take note of:

When doing a crossover with another series, you need to have some pretty strong planning. If it's a crossover where the character(s) was/were raised in that universe, e.g., Kim and Ron growing up in a Western theme, you need to realize that the personalities seen in the original series wouldn't be a 100 match up. Depending on the universe involved, the characters maybe gritty or be damn right cruel compared to their 'normal' personalities. Take the Starcraft universe, for example; if Kim and Ron were raised as Ghost agents, they would be merciless killers. In these situations, the characters adapt to the role; the role doesn't adapt to the characters. (But, if you're clever, you can salvage some of the quirks/behaviour traits from the original characters and adapt them.)

When doing a 'flip side' on existing episodes, e.g., a rewrite of Emotion Sickness with Ron and Drakken as the Moodulated victims, don't bind the characters to the events in the original episode. Ron and Drakken would of done different things compared to Kim and Shego, so half if not most of the events in that episode wouldn't work. You'd need to rewrite the episode from scratch instead of simply flipping the roles.

When doing time travel or alternate universe stories, a single event in the past ripples through to the future. If, for example, Ron and Kim got together before So The Drama, So The Drama wouldn't have gone down at all (depending on how far back), and if it did it wouldn't be the 'So The Drama' we all know of. The further back the change, e.g., season I of Kim Possible, the more it'd affect the future. Some episodes/adventures might not even happen due to the choices done in the past.

VI.

Some things I'm throwing around in my head right now are; what if Erik was real and not a Synthodrone? Kim, being her selfish and shallow self, would of basically drifted from Ron even if she tried to stay 'tight' with him because of her time being split. Ramifications? Who knows! A mad Ron? Zorpox? Ron becoming less childlike? Ron becoming 'badarse?' Ron becoming some sort of elite Ninja? Ron becoming the epitome of what Kim expected of him and more, with Kim feeling intense regret later on? Possibilities are endless, methinks!

What if Ron actually had 'grew' out of his 'childlike' state as both he and Kim grew up? What would the episodes of the varying seasons of been like? What would Ron/Kim's relationship be like, with Ron high on the vaunted 'food chain?' What would Ron be both physically and mentally like?

I'm all for Ron/Kim pairings even if the whole 'What if Erik was real?' scenario does kind of irritate me, and a few alternate pairings such as Ron/Shego etc...but only heterosexual ones.

VII.

Sorry, but I see slash (more specifically 'KiGo') as the epitome of 'wrongsick', to borrow a phrase from Ron. Also, alternate pairings with no evidence to back it up such as Ron/Shego might be worth a good read, but it'd never happen in reality/show canon. Same 'sitch' with KiGo or, for a wilder example, Anne Possible and Ron. XD

Just because the two female leads in the series are strong and dominant compared to the male leads (e.g., Ron and Drakken), it does not make them Lesbian, Bisexual or 'butch' orientated in any way.

It would be a different situation if there was any clear cut subtext to back it up, but there isn't. From what I've seen, the only 'interest' Kim and Shego have with one another is both an intense rivalry and friendship (the latter only being around when Shego's under the affect of the Attitudinator.)

They're also both interested in men.

I will not read KiGo or slash pairings, I will not Beta them, I will not review them and I certainly will not help write them.
