Author has written 37 stories for Wolf's Rain, Sandman, Invader Zim, Final Fantasy VIII, Fullmetal Alchemist, Final Fantasy IX, Princess Mononoke, Final Fantasy X, Final Fantasy VII, Howl's Moving Castle, Xena: Warrior Princess, Avatar: Last Airbender, Ergo Proxy, and House, M.D..

Greetings, and welcome to my ridiculously long profile. I am the writer formerly known as Bells of Requiem. No, your eyes have not deceived you. I've changed my pen name. It translates to "Wolf of Dreams," if you're curious.

I'm 23, live in the Bible belt state of Oklahoma, and I am working towards leaving this hillbilly hell. My greatest ambition in life is to become a horse trainer, and to dedicate my life to animals and animal rescue. My hobbies include reading, writing, and video games. I've written for several fandoms, and my tastes tend to be rather eclectic. I'm fairly selective in what I watch, read, or listen to, and have an unhealthy addiction to energy drinks. I have a great love for writing, though I'm not sure if I want to make it a career or simply a hobby. My literary idol is Neil Gaiman, and I want to be him when I grow up. I consider American Gods one of the greatest books ever, and think everybody should read it. That's me in a nutshell. I'm a terribly lazy writer that updates sporadically at best.

To those that leave me kind reviews, I humbly thank you. They're always deeply appreciated. To those that give me constructive criticism, I extend my thanks to you as well. Know that I take concrit to heart, and it pushes me to do better as a writer. Your advice is truly valuable to me.

There's the link to my LJ. It's f-locked. If you'd like to know even more about me beyond the information I provide here in my profile, and if you have an account, then feel free to friend me. If your LJ doesn't send me fleeing in terror, then I will likely friend you back.

And now for a rant: Here on Fanfiction (dot) net, I've noticed an interesting trend that was fairly recently pointed out by one of my compatriots, Negative Creep. (BTW, read her. Her writing kicks major ass. Seriously, go check out her stuff. She's awesome. She's one of the best writers on here.) I've noticed that the few pieces on here that are truly well-written, original, and well-thought out, hardly get any reviews. Hell, they're lucky to get five or six before they disappear into the abyss. While so-called "epics" whose spelling make my eyes bleed, clearly written by obnoxious teeny-boppers (who often write Mary Sues, no less) with only the most rudimentary grasp of reading, writing, and grammar skills, get twenty pages of squeeing praise to the tune of "OMGZ, U MUST UPDATE!! THIS IS TEH AWESUM! I WAS SO SKARED FOR :insert your pairing of choice here:

Don't believe me? Check out my favorites list. I've found some AMAZING work by people who put genuine effort and thought into what they're creating, and they get little in return for it. It's depressing. But you know, trashy romances that are pure tripe sell like the proverbial hotcakes, (Twilight anyone?) while novels that are true classics (Neil Gaiman's American Gods comes to mind) don't get nearly the level of recognition they deserve. Though, I suppose there's no accounting for taste.

And well...FF.Net is called "The Pit of Voles" for a reason...

Second rant: It drives me nucking futs that they got rid of page breaks on here. This means that I'm going to have to go back and re-format/ fix some of my old stuff. Damn it. Oh, well...:sighs:

"There's no such thing as a saint without a past, or a sinner without a future."- Baghavad Gita

"It only takes a single voice to start a revolution."-Thorin

"Because we do not know when we will die, we think of life as an inexhaustible well." - Brandon Lee

"Do no pray for an easy life. Instead, pray for the strength to endure a difficult one." ~Bruce Lee

"Life is just a dream on the way to death." - The Crow: City of Angels

"Take comedians seriously and politicians as a joke" - Author Unknown

"There's nothing unnatural about dying or being killed. It's better than living with no purpose."- Kiba, Wolf's Rain

"Adversity is like a flame; it melts the weak, but it tempers the strong." ~ Thorin

"It is only when you refuse to give in with all your heart that you begin to transcend your humanity." - Alucard, Hellsing

"People shouldn't be afraid of their governments, goverments should be afraid of their people."~ V for Vendetta

"Hope sees the invisible. It achieves the impossible...if you look up, there are no limits."-Lacuna Coil

"I can believe things that are true and things that aren't true and I can believe things where nobody knows if they're true or not. I can believe in Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny and the Beatles and Marilyn Monroe and Elvis and Mister Ed. Listen - I believe that people are perfectable, that knowledge is infinite, that the world is run by secret banking cartels and is visited by aliens on a regular basis, nice ones that look like wrinkled lemurs and bad ones who mutilate cattle and want our water and our women. I believe that the future sucks and I believe that the future rocks and I believe that one day White Buffalo Woman is going to come back and kick everyone's ass. I believe that all men are just overgrown boys with deep problems communicating and that the decline in good sex in America is coincident with the decline in drive-in movie theaters from state to state. I believe that all politicians are unprincipled crooks and I still believe that they are better than the alternative. I believe that California is going to sink into the sea when the big one comes, while Florida is going to dissolve into madness and alligators and toxic waste. I believe that antibacterial soap is destroying our resistance to dirt and disease so that one day we'll all be wiped out by the common cold like martians in War of the Worlds. I believe that the greatest poets of the last century were Edith Sitwell and Don Marquis, that jade is dried dragon sperm, and that thousands of years ago in a former life I was a one-armed Siberian shaman. I believe that mankind's destiny lies in the stars. I believe that candy really did taste better when I was a kid, that it's aerodynamically impossible for a bumble bee to fly, that light is a wave and a particle, that there's a cat in a box somewhere who's alive and dead at the same time (although if they don't ever open the box to feed it it'll eventually just be two different kinds of dead), and that there are stars in the universe billions of years older than the universe itself. I believe in a personal god who cares about me and worries and oversees everything I do. I believe in an impersonal god who set the universe in motion and went off to hang with her girlfriends and doesn't even know that I'm alive. I believe in an empty and godless universe of causal chaos, background noise, and sheer blind luck. I believe that anyone who says sex is overrated just hasn't done it properly. I believe that anyone who claims to know what's going on will lie about the little things too. I believe in absolute honesty and sensible social lies. I believe in a woman's right to choose, a baby's right to live, that while all human life is sacred there's nothing wrong with the death penalty if you can trust the legal system implicitly, and that no one but a moron would ever trust the legal system. I believe that life is a game, that life is a cruel joke, and that life is what happens when you're alive and that you might as well lie back and enjoy it."

-Neil Gaiman, American Gods

Current status of my stories:

Run Wolf Warrior, Run: My badly neglected Wolf's Rain fic that I've been working on since '06. It's original incarnation was rather badly done, so I deleted it and started from scratch. I will eventually finish this fic...it just might take awhile. Fornerly known as Prelude to Destiny. I like this title much better, less clunky sounding. :p

Seafoam and Woodsmoke: A 100-Zutara drabble and one-shot challenge series that I started. Why? Because I'm insane, and I broke my own rule of not writing more than one multi-chapter story at a time. (See neglected WR fic above.) What can I say? I have much love for the Zutara pairing. And I just...wanted to see if I could do it. It all started one day when the idea popped into my sleep-deprived brain last October.

That's all for now. Thanks for reading.
