Reading is my passion. After years of enjoying fanfiction, I decided to try my hand at writing some myself.

My favorite types of books are fantasy, sci-fi, and romance. I also adore the A&E six-hour Pride&Prejudice, Vin Diesel's voice, Twizzlers, and peppermint flavored anything. I graduated with a B.A. in Biology and a minor in Japanese. I'm trying to get my PhD and write my dissertation in Animal Behavior/Physiology right now, and I also have a baby, so that's to blame for my lack of updates.

Story Status:

May 28, 2013 - I have the chapter of NMPA after this one written, I just need to write the bridging scenes to get there. I have a major project due right now though, so things are going slow. Bah.

I bought and watched the new Kenshin live action movie. It was awesome and made me love RK all over again! The fight scenes were great and some of the stances were spot on. I had mixed feelings about Sano sometimes, as he didn't look quite right to me and was occasionally more annoying than amusing. The fight in the kitchen did make me chuckle though. Saitou's opening wasn't the best (it seemed like they were trying too hard), but his modern-day self was super cool, and made me fall in love with his character again and start thinking about Liquid Flame plotlines. Megumi was perfect, from the way she looked to dialog to acting. Initially I was hesitant about the actors playing Kenshin and Kaoru, but they totally won me over, especially Kenshin. There were a few times I found Kaoru disappointing, but part of the problem there was the plot and dialog she was given, and partly the way I've been spoiled by fanfic into seeing her as a little more pro-active and forward. Not that she didn't have several good moments of strength and compassion, because she did. Overall, I'm glad I own it so I can re-watch it. Yay!
