Reading is my passion. After years of enjoying fanfiction, I decided to try my hand at writing some myself.

My favorite types of books are fantasy, sci-fi, and romance (I have a soft spot for trash and smut sometimes – the shame!). I'm also obsessed with the A&E six-hour Pride&Prejudice, Vin Diesel's voice, Babylon 5, Pucca, LOTR, Twizzlers, and peppermint flavored anything.

I graduated with a degree in Biology and a minor in Japanese. I'd like to be a professor, but first I have to finish my Ph.D. in Biology. My current research revolves around courtship behavior and correlated neuromodulators in fish brains, which I slice, dice, and make glow in the dark with immunohistochemistry. As Little John says in Disney's Robin Hood, "Glow, babies, glow..."

Ranma ½ (My all time favorite Ranma fics are both unfinished, alas : “Hearts of Ice” and “Tiger Claw.”), Inuyasha, Rurouni Kenshin, Mars, Hanazakari no Kimitachi e (‘Hanakimi’ or ‘For you in full blossom’), Fruits basket, Tokyo Crazy Paradise, Bleach, Akuma no Ororon (The Demon Ororon), Chrono Crusade, Yamato Nadeshiko Shichihenge (The Wallflower), Escaflowne, Trigun, Rayearth, Gokusen.

I also like fanfic from: Labyrinth, Harry Potter (Draco/Hermione especially), Babylon 5, Earth 2, Pretender, Bones, Stargate (SG-1 & SGA (I love and adore Rodney McKay)).

Story Status:

11July08- Alas, I haven't written (or read) anything in forever! I've been too busy with school, teaching, research, and that fact that I just got married. Whee! (on the marriage thing, not so much the other stuff) And here I thought I'd be single forever. But out of boredom I did a google search on myself today and found lots of random links and reviews to my fics and that made me all nostalgic for my weekend writing marathons. Of course, my experiment is going into high gear the next three weeks, and I just started watching Nobuta wo Produce, but hopefully I'll find some time and plot to write down. If not now, maybe in the future... I hope... Ganbatte!

The most awesome Quenya has translated Hakama Dake into Italian! Wowzers. I'm a fourth Sicilian, but I don't understand any Italian at all. However, it looks so pretty!

In Progess:

LIQUID FLAME: RK (Mystery/Action/Adventure/Romance) AU Fantasy focusing on Saitou/Tokio with chibi Kaoru and young Battousai. Lots of cool fight scenes and plot in this one. So proud, yay! First in a Series. Part II will focus on KK. (This isn't abandoned, I swear!)

FALLING FROM THE STARS: RK Drama/Angst/Romance Torn between protecting a man mad from fever and fleeing a man mad from power, Kaoru is forced to rely only on herself. What happens next will teach her the measure of her own strength and just what it means to live by the philosophy: “The sword that protects.” First, however, she will be forced to learn the extent of her own weaknesses and in how many different ways a woman can bend and break.

DREAM SEQUENCE from HD: I might end up making an independent story out of this. I mean, who wouldn't want a Kenshin bodyslave?
