I hate holding chapters for ransom. Where do you think it's okay to not post a chapter until you get x amount of reviews? I think this sums my point quite nicely:

Write because you love it. Write for yourself, write for the readers, for the fandom, for the fan in you. Reviews are just the icing on the cake.
