Author has written 16 stories for Fullmetal Alchemist, Full Moon wo Sagashite, Gungrave, Firefly, Final Fantasy VII, Shakespeare, RENT, Sin City, Heroes, Ouran High School Host Club, Stargate: Atlantis, Wanted, and Batman Begins/Dark Knight. Origins: Hana Li is my cyberpunk, half-Taiwanese/half-Japanese artist-writer alter-ego who often surfaces at night and on rainy days and lives in my deviantArt. Her name comes from the closing theme to Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, "Lithium Flower"-- "Hana" being "flower" in Japanese and "Li" being the abbreviation for lithium (yeah, I'm a nerd). I typically write stories, poetry, and essays, but my writing career started with fanfiction. In middle school, I wrote a series of Buffy fics long before I knew what fanfiction was and before they had come up with the idea of potential Slayers. Fast-forward to my freshman year in college, when I became inspired by Episode 25 of Fullmetal Alchemist. The episode was so touching that I wrote a poem about it. I wanted to develop the emotions and themes further so I made it into a short story that centers around the character of Roy Mustang. My roommate at the time persuaded me to post my work, and I've been writing fanfiction ever since. Interests and Hobbies: animal behavior, anime, belly dance, divination, extreme sports, genetics, Japanese street fashion, languages, literature, music, mythology, photography, Romanticism, steampunk, subcultures, the gothic, and of course, writing Blogs: Favorites: Inspirations: my own struggles and triumphs, characters I can relate to (notice which characters dominate my fanfics and you'll gain insight on my personality), a work that evokes strong emotions, dreams, funny situations, songs, a character that I create, questions that bug me in the middle of the night (or day) Note on my work: All I have up are poems and one-shots, but one day I'll post my longer works. Those require time to write and edit since they usually involve original characters. Some of my one-shot collections may perpetually be in progress because who knows when inspiration strikes. Since I've always got things to do and original stories to work on, it may be a while before I update. Don't worry, I plan on sticking around and finishing up the things that need to be completed. Lastly, I am interested in what y'all think, but please make your criticisms constructive. I won't know how to improve my writing if you just say that it sucks.
