The Latest Gossip:
09/November/2011 - It's been awhile! Not like me at all, as normally I'm quite the frequent updater...unfortunately this year has been the hardest and darkest in my life, but I'm seeing the light not too far away now. Some writers walk away because they lose their inspiration or can't fit any time in to write or find more enticing hobbies...for me, none of these things have been an issue for me. Life's been so changed these passing months that not only could I not find the time to write, I couldn't find the time to even be myself. Its a bit corny, but a huge thanks to my big sister EclipsingFlames for helping me toward the light - can't wait to see you again next year - yay for us! I've almost completed another 2 chapters of Eleven so you can expect another update from me soon. Thanks all for your patience and don't stress, I'm still very much committed (with never-ending story ideas brewing in my brains)! Hopefully you'll see things back to normal from me in the new year!
About my Writing...
My father may call me a young woman, but when I started this fan-fiction journey I was only a little girl and this is blatantly obvious when reading my earlier works posted on this site. Ideas are my foundation and writing has probably come secondary to this for much of my life, especially as my overactive imagination is the attention seeker in my head! Creating a story is so much more then just ideas or just words and it's taken me a great deal of commitment to work out this compromise over the years. These days, my writing itself tends to break several million rules of the English language but I have my voice and I always aim to write in a polished, sensory way - I want readers to feel, taste, smell and hear every paragraph that I construct. Spelling and grammar is important to me. I write with inspiration in mind - not to inspire, but always inspired by the smallest and greatest things that have touched me throughout my life.
I have only ever written Power Rangers fan-fiction and can't even imagine myself stumbling into any other fandom. Call me invested! My ultimate dream is to one day branch out and attempt something that's utterly my own, but for now I absolutely love this bizarre little corner of the literacy world and have no intentions on leaving.
I tend to write stories that fall in the angst/drama/suspense/adventure genres, but I'm constantly aiming to push out my comfort zone and attempt something less...severe. Unfortunately my earliest works were flawed by unintentional Mary Sues, substandard sentence structure and clever plot turns that were poorly directed. Fluff is not a genre in my vocabulary so if it's your thing, you'll probably find I am not your thing haha. My stories are generally serious but occasionally I like to try to produce something a little more lighthearted.
I am not pro or anti any pairings or characters. I believe that both are what we make of them and if you dislike a character or pairing, then you simply have not found a way to enjoy them in your stories. Most of my stories feature Kimberly, Jason or Tommy center stage. You will find a variety of pairings scattered throughout my fics and I like to celebrate all characters in their own unique ways. So hopefully, no matter your preferences, you can find something in my portfolio to your taste!
Me personally? I'm Australian, married to my teenage sweetheart, currently have 2 little babies, work 3 jobs and have no idea how to relax. How boring is that! haha
~ Happy reading and writing to all :) ~
