Hey y'all my name is Barbara, I'm 33, and am a very late starter to fanfiction. There are just some wonderful writers on here and I'm privileged to have read and reviewed your wonderfrul work, and corrersponded with many of you. There is a healthy dose of talent here so just make sure you all keep those stories coming.
I was born with a chromosome condition named Turners syndrome. most of you will not have heard of it. It means that I am only 4ft 8 ins and sadly, it also means I can't have children. Sadly, I find I struggle to do things you guys find you can do relatively easily. I find I have the imagination, but I find it difficult to translate that into stories and struggle. I'll tell you a long and i'm sure boring story.
At age 11, I and others in my class had to write a story. I came up with a story about two children who come up with a potion thanks to chemistry sets, that ends up making their mother fly away and out of their lives. My teacher said what a good imagination I had. i never picked up a pen again at all untill at age 29 I began to write some not very good fanfiction stories for another TV programme i liked. I still feel I'm doing it blind, but so many of you have been so kind and encouraging.
Right now, I've got a dukes one shot that I'm hoping to complete a second draft of soon. I'm always making notes on ideas for future stories so you never know what may turn up. at the moment, I'm mainly busy with an original story called 'who's saving whom' About an unlikely romance in the unlikliest of circumstances. I'm actually, despite having zero confidence, more excited about this than anything else I've ever done. Well, I've gone on long enough, Thanks for reading y'all.
