Updated Profile
Updating again here...I think I'll be writing a Digimon fic soon. Not sure of the pairing or anything else yet, but wish me luck.
Name: I don't give out my name on the net, except to my best friends. = If you'll really want to know it, join my forum at http://s13.invisionfree.com/Frozenhope/index.php? . (It even has a fanfiction section.) Otherwise, Sacred Dust or Frozenhope will do just fine.
Age: 20. My birthday is in August.
Likes: Reading, writing, my forum, surfing the net, wrestling, winter...all manner of weird stuff.
Dislikes: Flamers who dislike a story, but for some reason will still read it and then blame you; mispelling, bad grammar, bad punctuation, spamming, screamers...you get the idea.
The following features my opinions on many pairings within (in order) Harry Potter, Digimon, Sonic (the Hedgehog), and Final Fantasy 7.

My Thoughts on Certain Pairings
-
HARRY POTTER:
Harry / Hermione: A little too obvious for my tastes. But hey, it's a tried-and-true formula.
Harry / Ginny: A little less obvious than HarMione, but that's the direction the series itself has taken, so I probably won't do that, either.
Harry / Cho: ...Maybe. ChArry sure hasn't worked in the past, but anything's possible. The fact is, I'm not a big fan of Scarhead himself...although he is a nice guy.
Harry / Draco: This one actually is strange and improbable enough to really catch my attention. It has to be well-written, of course; in that case, even an M-rated DraRy is fine by me. Furthermore, it's one of the few slash pairings I'm willing to read about, since much of their feuding could plausibly be repressed romantic tension. I don't think I'll ever write a DraRy myself, but they can be interesting.
Harry / Ron: This, on the other hand, holds no appeal for me whatsoever. Even for a slash fic, HarRon would be too obvious. I thrive on more unconventional romances.
Harry / Hagrid...(bursts out laughing) Sorry, sorry. I just put this one in as a joke, to be honest. I've never read a HarGrid fic before, and frankly I never will. I don't even know if there are any.
Draco / Hermione: Pretty good. I mean, I'd take it over most things involving Harry.
Draco / Ginny: Possibly my favorite HP pairing. They just seem so perfect. I've read some truly awesome D/G fics in my time, and I may write one someday, too. (It may not be an awesome one, but I'll certainly try.)
Draco / Cho: That's kind of reaching. But it's okay.
Draco / Ron: See Harry / Ron.
Ron / Hermione: Again, very basic. But I'm willing to give it a look. (I love the idea of them pretending to hate each other in the first book, when really they were just trying to hide their prepubescent crushes.)
Ron / Cho: Oh, come on.
Ron / Ginny: Actually, these I will read. (...ducks about a hundred blunt objects being thrown at him) Hey! There's no need to get personal. I just kind of like the pairing. I told you I like some of the unconventional stuff. As for the incest part, reality is subjective, eh? In any case, I have no sister of my own, and if I did, she'd be perfectly safe around me. Promise.
Ginny / Hermione: I've looked at a few of these, and they've been all right. I kind of like female slash when it's done with the right characters, but the implications of this pairing are rather depressing. I mean, with both girls occupied, all the boys will be lonely. =(
Ginny / Cho: You know, there's actually a very good fic between these two called "For Play" that's rated T. You should check it out. But otherwise, these two wouldn't really fit.
Cho / Hermione: That's venturing a little too far into the realm of obscurity, even for me.

DIGIMON (I LOVED this show when I was younger):
-
Tai / Sora: One conventional pairing I wholeheartedly support. Although they have quite the history together, I worry that the two of them just wouldn’t last. That suspicion is confirmed by their rather mysterious breakup in Season 2. But if I ever wrote a Taiora fic, I’d certainly help them try to sort out their feelings. As a couple, they’d just be all over the place, and they’d need some time just to prepare for being more than good friends. They are both interesting characters, and would make a fascinating couple, even if they are the most obvious pairing in the series.
-
Tai / Mimi: I actually find Michi to be just as intriguing as Taiora, if not more. I think Mimi would be able to handle Tai’s impulsive tendencies much better than Sora, and would have a better shot at understanding him as well. Seeing their outgoing personalities bounce off of each other would be very entertaining. A tragically underused pairing—but I think it could work beautifully.
-
Matt / Sora: The second most obvious pairing in Digimon, and one in which I have no interest. Everyone seems to write Sorato fics. Like most conventional couples, they just don’t seem compelling to me. They fit each other, of course—a little too well. Sora’s failure to understand her own feelings would predictably lead her to seek refuge with Matt’s “lone wolf” personality. They would understand each other, but neither one of them knows the first thing about deeply connecting with another person. They could easily be together, but I don’t think they’d be very happy.
-
Matt / Mimi: This is also quite popular, and…it’s not that I don’t LIKE Matt; I do, but I just find Tai to be a more intriguing character sometimes. If I did write a Digific involving Matt, it would probably be a Mimato. But I think his and Mimi’s personalities are a little too opposite. Like they say, sometimes opposites attract, but the two of them have nothing in common, and consciously or not, he would always be pushing her away. Mimi would feel sad and lonely, leaving the relationship vulnerable and easily destroyed.
-
Tai / Matt: I don’t do boy/boy or girl/girl Digifics. End of story. …And no, they wouldn’t get along.
-
Joe / Sora: …Nah.
-
Joe / Mimi: Now this has possibilities. Mimi and Joe have spent quite a bit of time together, and they seem just different enough to become interested in each other. There would be a lot of emotional uncertainty early on, but I think they would overcome it. Being the fidgety guy he is, Joe would never risk hurting her feelings. As for Mimi, she’s sincere enough to respect him as a boyfriend and not just use him as a doormat. So I think Jyoumi could work very well.
-
Izzy / Sora: Probably not. The two of them never talk.
-
Izzy / Mimi: There’s a chance they could get together, but I doubt it. Izzy still has to get over his computer fascination first. Chances are his head’s too cluttered with useful information to entertain any thoughts of romance. And if he was unlucky enough to fall in love, the poor guy would panic and fall over himself constantly; he’d have no idea what to do.
-
Matt / Kari: There’s the slightest possibility…but Tai would kill him.
-
TK / Kari: Takari remains extremely popular, and therefore my interest in it is limited. The relationship would work, without a doubt. Problem is, it’s just a little too convenient and predictable for my tastes.
-
TK / Sora: An unconventional pairing indeed—and one that never fails to get my attention. Sokeru seems quite intriguing to me. Of course, TK would have to grow up a bit, but in the years following Season 2, they just might get together somehow. The fact is, being in a relationship with TK would effectively soothe Sora’s personal insecurities. Back in the Digital World, she was used to looking out for everybody else in the group—especially TK, since he was just a kid at the time. Chances are they could connect on a pretty deep level in the future. I’m not saying it would be like a mother/son relationship—not at all. But something deep inside tells me they could understand and accommodate each other a bit more easily than many of these other pairings.
-
TK / Mimi: Then again, there are some unconventional pairings that don’t interest me any more than the obvious ones. They might work…they might not. It’s hard to say what would happen.
-
Tai / Kari: Yeah, I know they’re brother and sister. But there’s my unconventional side again. And I think it’s apropos in the sense that Hikari has an undeniable sibling complex. She cares for Tai more deeply and selflessly than most sisters do for their brothers. He, of course, is too wrapped up in himself and being a leader to notice it; but he cares deeply for her as well. Of all the things he’s done, Tai has never forgiven himself for causing Kari’s pneumonia several years ago, and he obsesses over her health and safety. In fact, it’s not until she gets involved in the Digidestined’s battle that we see new dimensions of Tai’s personality. So, who knows? If each one realized how much the other cared for them, a TaiKari could certainly develop in the future.

Anything involving Yolei: No, thanks.
-
Rika / Takato: The only Season 3 pairing I am interested in. Rukato is both fascinating and fitting. Takato is just the kind of guy who can get past Rika's icy exterior.

SONIC (THE HEDGEHOG):
Sonic / Amy: The one, the only. Yeah, it's mainstream, but it's as good as things get in the Sonic universe. Some writers just end up trashing the pairing with a lot of angst that's supposed to make it "interesting," but really doesn't fit at all. Sonic universe romances should be warm and fuzzy, with a little action thrown in. Like the characters. xD
Sonic / Tails: The most popular Sonic male slash...but no. Not my thing. I mean, these two are FRIENDS. Okay?
Sonic / Cream: ...Nah. Cream's too young for him.
Sonic / Knuckles: You know...with all the competitiveness and open hostility, this is a slash that might actually work. Some good stories have been written about them, after all.
Knuckles / Amy: ...Maybe, but their attitudes are like oil and water. Still, opposites can attract.
Amy / Tails: Another alternative pairing I love. Yay! Go Tails / Amy. That's as close to sounding like a fanboy as I'll ever come.
(Anything involving Shadow or Rouge: What do people see in these characters? Shadow's not romantic by any stretch of the imagination. And Rouge...ugh. She's a little too suggestive to properly fit into the Sonic world.)

FINAL FANTASY 7
Cloud / Aeris: Never. Too obvious. I can't stand them. I haven't even liked Aeris' character for years. And I'm not exactly crazy about Cloud, either.
Cloud / Tifa: Definitely worth reading. Many things involving Tifa are worth reading. She's awesome.
Cloud / Yuffie: Implausible, but somewhat interesting.
Yuffie / Cid: Weird all around. I mean, he's almost old enough to be her dad. But I still think this is a great, great pairing in the right hands. Look up the pairing and read "Honesty" if you don't believe me.
Yuffie / Tifa: ...Naaaah.
Yuffie / Aeris: ...Naaaaaaaaaahhhhhh.
Yuffie / Vincent: Urrrgh. Why are so many authors fascinated with this pairing! I don't think Vincent's all that great, anyway.
(Anything involving Barrett or Red XIII: NO.)
Cid / Tifa: Another great pairing. Don't believe me again? Check them out and see for yourself.
Tifa / Rufus: These two would be so awesome together. At least, I think. Rufus wouldn't go for any of the other female characters.
(Any male slashes: NO.Not in FF7.)
Lastly, I also enjoy Zidane / Freya from Final Fantasy IX.
Oy. Tired of me talking yet? I suppose I could always talk about some more pairings in the next update...it's fun!
