"1 More Chance!" Part III is now complete (updated on November 4)! Part IV will begin with Chapter 38, and - after we give our heroes a little break - things will get just a tiny bit crazy. But in a good way. Shadows and Personas and ... a Fool? Oh, my!

About "1 More Chance!" (花千地雷です!)

This Persona 4-based story, which takes place approximately 5 years post-True Ending of the Japanese version of the game (important only for some names, and for one minor plot point involving someone's Shadow), is a relationship/romance/friendship story centering on Satonaka Chie. While predominantly dealing with the fledgling romance between Chie and Hanamura Yousuke, I have tried to give each of the principal Investigation Team characters his or her due. Still, if you hate the HanaChie pairing, you probably won't like this story.

The story is updated every Wednesday, in the Megami Tensei section here on this site, and also on my personal site.

Begun as a simple 'shipping fic, the story has grown beyond my initial expectations to include lost loves, Japanese folklore, gender bending, non-traditional sexual relationships, fighting, Shadows, familial responsibilities, traditional expectations, feminist empowerment, and a slew of other topics. So, it's not just about a young woman trying to find her soulmate.

The story is divided into four Parts, but is meant to be read as a whole, which is why all of the Parts are included (or will be, once they're finished). They are:

Part I: Signs of Love (Chapters 1-9)
Part II: Heartbeat, Heartbreak (Chapters 10-24)
Part III: Strength of Heart (Chapters 25-37)
Part IV: I'll Face Myself (Chapters 38-??)

. . . So at least you've got some idea of where the heck the story is going, and how far yet we have to go! And, yes, the Parts are named after tracks from the Persona 4 soundtrack.

As a warning, this is a Mature-rated story. It involves adults engaging in consensual sexual activity, described in sometimes graphic detail. So, if you are not of age in your resident country, you may want to pass on this story.
