There's little to say. My name's MJ. I . I love watching TV, I've watched All My Children since I've been in the womb, and I love reading books (especially books by Meg Cabot, Michelle Jaffe, Judith McNaught, Stephenie Meyer, Melissa de la Cruz, JK Rowling (Pre Sirius Black death), etc. My favorite movie of all times is Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. I know, strange. After all, I read romance novels I should like something like Pride and Predjudice (which I do, especially the Colin Firth version of the film), but there's something about Harrison Ford with his shirt off that just makes me want to watch that movie over and over again, and it's sort of fun to make fun of that bimbo Willy Scott when she tries to eat bugs. Okay enough about me, it's time to talk about my stories.
P.S. My avatar is courtesy of Jules, thanks.
Important announcment: Simply Twisted and Satin Ribbons will no longer be continued because I have a major case of writer's block and am focussing on the Freaks of Nature universe right now and my own original writing that I hope that one day I might have the courage to write query letters so they'll have a .001 percent chance of getting published
Work Currently in Progress (There may be parining are other spoilers in these summaries)
Paris is my Home-(T) A oneshot revolving Greenlee after she leaves Ryan and Kendall after the Thanksgiving catastophe. Greenlee goes to Paris to the apartment that she and Leo bought and then well... you just have to read the story. Featuring a closet full of designer clothes from Fendi to Gucci and the ending Greenlee should of had when she left Pine Valley.
Note fans of this oneshot might want to read Shreeded Lives which is sort of like an alternate theory to this story
Shredded Lives- (T) After the Rylee wedding Kendall instead of going bonkers she finds solace in JR Chandler's arms. Although their relationship at first is purely based off of sex ,it develops into something way more. Mystery and intrigue surrond the Jendall relationship as they solve the baby swapping fiasco, discover something or someone who could put a big damper on Rylee's Green Butterfly fantasies, and in their spare time make a baby of their own. Pairings: JR/Kendall, Ryan/Greenlee, Ryan/Gillian Jamie/Babe, Anna/David (Leora is still alive and Anna is pregnant with baby #2), Greenlee/ Leo
Freaks of Nature: Twilight/Mediator crossover. Post New Moon, instead of going to Jake to get over her depression, Bella's cousin Suze settles her Jimmy Choo's down in Forks. When Laurent tries to bite Bella in the meadow there is no one to rescue her, except are friendly mediator. How will Bella and Suze cope being turned into the undead, and furthermore will Bella ever see Edward again and how are Suze and Jesse going to make a relationship work when she's a vampire and he's a ghost.
Coming Soon To a Theater Near You:
Lillies (Tentative Name): The story of Lily Cullen, takes place roughly about fourteen or so years after Freaks of Nature. Lily Cullen is now a teenage mediator and having Bella syndrome of wanting to become a vampire and being in love with a vampire, specifically Jack Slater. Jack Slater meanwhile is still dealing with the aftermath of his brother's death, while trying to live for eternity. Add in hints that Paul might not be as gone as everyone thought, a cranky mother who looks like Barbie and could quite possibly (if she wanted) attned high school with her, an immature father, and a cool aunt who is against anything Slater, Lily could quite possibly hate her life.
Shifter: Suze's version of FON.
Hybrid or Blue Immortal : Blue Bloods/Twilight Crossover: Post Masquerade/Eclipse Schuyler Van Alen has visited her mother every weekend in the long term facility since she can remmber. Nows since she's living with the Force's and is dealing with fainting issues what will happen when she crosses our favorite vampire doctor. Throw in some angry werewolves, some silver bloods and you got yourself one heck of an adventure.
Bits and Pieces: Twilight During New Moon (AU) When Bella is left alone the pain gets too much too bare and she shatters into pieces (well, not literally mentally). How will Edward deal with a Bella that has DID (diassociative identity disorder) what gave Bella DID in the first place, and well...if only Edward could read Bella's mind. This story is very dramatic, very deep (will have some human moments/relationships not much),and will be in multiple POV's (well really one, but Bella's alters POVs).
Breaking Dawn Review: (SPOILER ALERT)
To be truthul, I was a little skeptical about reading this book. I mean, I love Stephenie Meyer's Twilight Saga, don't get me wrong but there was really mixed reviews about the book. To be honest, I didn't really love or hate the book, it was okay. Personally, I thought it would have been better if she divided up the book into two books to develop the relationships between characters, and to introduce her new characters (thank you publishers for that coven list in the back, becuase otherwise I would've been even more confussed than I alrady was). All those new characters at the end of the book had me a bit confussed. I also desperately wanted Taco (Jacob and Tanya) instead I got stuck with Jacob and Bella's Baby (truly a WTF moment). I mean, I did think Rennesme (weird name, why couldn't she have been named after Edward's birth mother Elizabeth, Elizabeth Renne Cullen than has a nice ring to it) was cute but her whole existance really wasn't expalined. Sperm, as everyone know, is a living part of the body (even if Edward's swimmers were supposed to be frozen, it would have to be like negative sixty degreees hence the use of liquid nitrogen at sperm banks (I.E. One of my friends recently was Artifically insiminate so I know all about AI and the things surronding it). And the birth scene just grossed me out, sorry, don't get me wrong I loved seeing Edward play McDreamy in order to save Bella's life, but I would've prefered a graphic sex scene to that. I also would prefer Nessie to age like a normal child and not be like a thirty year-old when she's only like six months old, don't get me wrong I thought she was cute but it just irked on me that Jacob loved Bella because of Nessie when she didn't even exist yet (Because I truly think that ever since New Moon, even Twilight for that matter, he loved Bella not her child who was just an egg then, remember how he was thinking of body filled with his children way back then). The whole imprinting thing just creeped me out a bit in a weird sort of way. Don't get me wrong, I liked Jake in this book and I thought he deserved a happy ending with Tanya (Taco, I am so morning Taco the couple that couldn't be but will be in Lillies) it was just a little too much like incest for my taste. Okay, onto the good. I loved the wedding, I was so glad to see that I sort of depicted it right in my fic (the pearl buttons of the dress, the white satin ribbon and Christmas lights, and I even sort of got the time right (Although, FON's wedding ceremony took place at twilight while the reception took place in Breaking Dawn). I also loved Edward. I know some people were mad about how he wanted Bella to get an abortion, so to speak, but he was trying to do right for his wife and you could tell, when he heard the baby talking it was probably killing him that two people he loved could/would (in the case of Bella) die. I also thought Nessie was pretty cute (despite her horrible name, although I wish she would've gotten Edward's green eyes and would have been named Elizabeth Renee, heck I would've even taken her middle name for her first Carlie, that's cute). And I surprisingly can tolerate Jacob again, his part of the book (the chapter titles especially) was awesome. And also (I know there's a lot of also's in here) I really want a book just dedicated to Alice and Jasper now, I really like that couple even though they weren't as prominantly featured in the book. Anyway, I thought Breaking Dawn had a lot of nice moments, and I will read parts again, it was just a little weird and there were just some parts that weren't explained. If Stephenie would have developed it how she developed her other novels, and one part that I think that was messed up was the different books (I know we had to understand what was going on with the pack, but couldn't Edward explain it to Bella and we could get some more Bedward goodness), I think I could've liked it better. To me me Breaking Dawn just seemed like it needed to break down a little bit with a little more explanation and no Loch Ness Monsters (Elizabeth Renne Cullen please) and Taco, give me some Taco.
So overall I give it 3/5 ( I don't hate it, don't love, love it, but d. will reread it again).
